Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1523: End of Colossuses Part 16

”Our guild actually has that many spies? Damn it, I can’t believe I even treated a spy as a brother!”

”I knew that bastard was a rat, but I didn’t know he was this ratty!”

”How dare they betray our Vanguard Guild!”

Those who were actually loyal members began cursing in fury. They couldn’t accept their so-called comrades as backstabbing scumbags.

”Can I have everybody’s attention?” Carmen suddenly said. The moment she spoke up, the muttering and discussion among the members quieted.

As frustrated as they were, the respect they held for Carmen was superior.

A few moments later, once Carmen confirmed she had everyone’s attention, she continued her grand speech.

”Those spies would now become a permanent blacklist person of our Vanguard Guild. Additionally, we shall now commence the real operation.”

Sure enough, the crowd widened their eyes in complete surprise.

What did she mean by the real operation?

The members were all curious.

Thankfully, they didn’t have to wait long for the cliffhanger.

”Rather than actually taking over the occupied lands, we will now attack the Super Guilds directly while they get distracted and allocate their members to the bait we dropped.” She smirked coldly.

And just like that, a few more members suddenly logged out.

”Um, more spies just left...”

”Doesn’t that mean our plan is ruined?”

They had thought their plan was revealed, and those spies were going to help the Super Guilds be prepared.

How were they supposed to attack now that their opponents knew of their strategy?

But to their astonishment, Carmen suddenly stepped back from the platform.

Soon, Veronica returned to the center platform and smiled. ”I suppose that should be all the spies we have for now. Of course, there might still be some cautious ones who remain, but just know we already know who you are.”

She gestured with her fingers, and the four Elite Team Leaders disappeared from their position.

In the blink of an eye, they captured a few more members who had a considerably high amount of merit points.

Some of them were even early members of the guild.

”I’m not a spy!”

”You can’t just give me such a big accusation, Guild Captain. I have been diligent in my missions since day one.”

These captured people quickly argued and tried their best to defend themselves.

Unfortunately, no matter what they said or any evidence, Veronica turned a deaf ear to them.

These people were all outed by Xu Feng, who had told her to pay close attention.

As for why they decided to eradicate these spies now?

It was because they were officially going to declare war on the Super Guild.

Guild wars were halted because of the Colossuses invasion, forcing many of the guilds to focus on player versus environment.

But with the end of the colossus, the player versus player element was being brought back.

According to information left behind by Xu Feng, the chance of the next update would be about the Legacy Era.

Legacy Era, as in players would receive NPCs’ legacies to step on the path of Tier 3 and fight among themselves to prove their worth.

For the better preparation of the Legacy Era, they had decided to retain this confidential information and remove all spies to prevent anyone from getting ahead of them.

And what they were about to do was head toward this Legacy Dungeon.

What made this dungeon special was that many people could enter the dungeon once it opened until a certain duration was reached. To summarize, the longer they caused others to believe they were doing something else, the more time they saved for themselves.

As for why they needed to, the system would do a global broadcast again after 20 minutes inside the dungeon.

This was emphasized by Xu Feng, and as for where and how he learned of the information, Veronica had come to understand not to bother with it.

Sure enough, once Veronica made the move and even called upon the Army camp to do the blockade, many other guilds received the news of Vanguard Guild, courtesy of the spies.

When spies relayed the words, the spies within that guild from others would also learn the information.

”What the hell? The Vanguard Guild is trying to take over the conquered lands? Is that even possible now?”

”Damn it, if we really let them take over those lands, then wouldn’t their power and influence increase substantially?”

”No, wait, isn’t this also a chance for us? Those lands are still occupied by the Colossuses, so why not take them for ourselves?”

”Right right... The Vanguard Guild is taking up the banner anyway. We can just shift the blame to them.”

And just like that, many guilds began mobilizing their forces to specific lands.

They made sure to gather their strongest force because these lands were still hostile territories.

As for why they were so determined and trusted the news?

Hello?

Their spies were willing to expose themselves to deliver the news!

How could such news be fake?

The possibility was very low!!!

While these guilds began their mobilization, Veronica glanced at her message prompts and smirked coldly.

’Wow, Hundred Ghost is really trying his best.’ She thought to herself. Out of every spy who sent their report, Hundred Ghost was always the most detailed.

It was as if Hundred Ghost wanted to tell them that he was a useful pawn.

”Has the Decoy Team been prepared?” Veronica turned to Lightning Blade and asked.

”It’s done!” Lightning Blade nodded his head.

”Send them to those lands.”

”Yes, Captain.”

In the blink of an eye, the decoy team assembled by them, designed to purposely bait and deceive the others, was spotted rushing to the hostile lands.

Of course, to ensure the decoys worked fantastically, every one of them was shrouded in a Stealth Cloak.

”Hah, the Vanguard Guild is way too naive.”

”Did they seriously think the Stealth Cloak could hide them from us?”

”Let’s hurry up our members. We can’t let them get ahead anymore!”

Just like that, the undercurrent in the Divine World began to ripple.

The oppression from the Colossus made many feel suffocated and aggrieved.

This was finally their moment to vent everything!
