Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1379: Aetheria Empire Part 26

”You want to invest in me?” Xu Feng feigned shock. But silently, he was waiting for this word all along.

Everyone who witnessed his training hall could never resist the allure of getting stronger.

After all, this was something that cost him a big fortune and required planning to construct.

Despite having many customers, he still hadn’t recouped the money he spent on it.

”Yes, I want to invest in you.” Madam Ying nodded and listed her condition. ”I only wish that I could have an arena stage dedicated to my subordinates to train.”

”Hmm...” Xu Feng furrowed his brows and pondered deeply.

This was actually a predicament because his arena stage was reserved for him solely due to multiple factors. Not to mention, people wouldn’t dare to complain about him owning a private one.

Who would even raise a complaint in general against the owner?

”What’s the price?” Madam Ying also knew what his hesitation was. Hence, she directly asked for the price to reserve her own personal arena stage.

Money was not a problem for her! She was determined to get her hands on this and have some of her trusted subordinates train here.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng didn’t state his price right away. Without knowing Madam Ying’s full wealth, declaring a price would set him back.

Not to mention, the arena stage was all precious. Each one could earn a lot daily. To take one out to be reserved for Madam Ying, the pricing definitely had to be substantial.

”You should’ve seen the enthusiasm from the customers outside, right?” Xu Feng patted the control panel lightly.

”The arena stage is already very limited, and now they have to lose another one. I’m afraid a riot might erupt.” He continued, seemingly indicating his predicament.

”...”

Madam Ying was rendered speechless by his shameless behavior.

Both of them were in the business world, so how could she not know he was deliberately raising the price to get her good?

’Tsk, this greedy viscount...’ She was disgruntled, but must admit that she would have done the same. No, she wouldn’t have even opened up such an amazing thing to the public for sale.

Instead, she would have concealed it deeply and trained her people to raise a super army.

”I reckon the cost of maintenance daily is high.” She took a deep breath and said, ”I can invest 250,000 gold coins in exchange for a permanent reserve and take 5% of the profit monthly earned in the training hall.”

250,000 gold coins!

That was a value you don’t often see—no, rarely seen at this stage of the game.

Quarter of a million gold coins were indeed very tempting. Even Xu Feng found it hard to resist.

Unfortunately, he wouldn’t fall for the bait that Madam Ying dropped.

250,000 gold coins, but in exchange, she gets the permanent reserve of an arena stage and a 5% monthly profit.

She sure knows how to calculate well!

For a one-time investment, she planned on snatching long-term profit and an arena stage.

Too bad for her that he wouldn’t be blinded by quick profit.

”Monthly profits are impossible. The permanent reserve is also debatable. I can only promise you half a year of reserve for 200,000 gold coins.” Xu Feng counter-offered and even lowered the investment value by 50,000.

It wasn’t that he hated money, but he knew he had to decrease it if he wanted to kick out the monthly profit suggestion.

Sure enough, Madam Ying pursed her lips. ’He didn’t take the bait.’

She had purposely called out such a price to catch him off guard and possibly earn herself a huge investment return in the future.

Alas, he was more composed than she had imagined.

”If that’s the case, then I can only invest 150,000 gold coins.” She countered and even requested that the duration be increased to 8 months instead of half a year.

Her money doesn’t grow on trees either. Each coin was earned through much sweat and blood.

”At least 180,000 gold coins.” He countered.

”155,000.”

”175,000.”

As the two continued their counteroffers, the final price ultimately ended up at 165,000 gold coins. Madam Ying would invest that much in exchange for a reserve arena stage and future advanced benefits that he had to offer.

”Happy cooperation.” Xu Feng extended his hand now that the contract had been signed.

Madam Ying stared at his hand and finally came to a realization.

SHE HAD BEEN PLAYED!!!

”Was I in your trap all along?” She shook his hand and asked softly.

”That’s right.” He admitted it on the spot. The deed was done, so there was no need to hide it anymore. After all, they were going to be long-term business partners.

It was better off to be honest now than have her find out later.

”Alright, I appreciate the honesty.” She nodded in approval. If he had been dishonest, then her impression of him would decrease.

To cooperate with someone long-term, a basic trust was required. Otherwise, they wouldn’t go far, and the cooperation would crumble in an instant.

Sometime later, the two exited the training hall and arrived at the large, empty acre of land.

Madam Ying approached the ground and inspected the soil. Her brows furrowed when she realized the soil was perfect for the tea leaves required to brew the Fragrance Tea.

And the size, plus the way it was plowed, seemed specifically intended for the tea leaves.

”Did you prepare these in advance?” She asked in disbelief. The cultivation of her tea leaves was kept a secret from all. Even those who were cultivating the leaves had to sign a very strict magic contract to prevent any leakage.

So how in the heck did he learn or know about this cultivation method?

Even if he attempted to steal some of her tea leaves to plant, it would be impossible to succeed without her secret methods.

”Would you believe it if I said I came from the future and had knowledge about the Fragrance Tea?” Xu Feng chuckled heartily.
