Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1377: Aetheria Empire Part 24

Upon seeing Xu Feng extending his hand with a sly expression, Madam Ying was rendered speechless.

No wonder he paid so willingly for the tea drank by someone else.

So he had been scheming to get back his money since then.

Despite the clear stingy behavior, Madam Ying wasn’t disgusted whatsoever.

In fact, she was even pleased that Xu Feng was a money-grubber. Only a true money grubber would do everything to ensure their profits stay the same or increase to another height.

They refused to be lazy or even allow themselves to be on the losing end.

This was a crucial trait that she sought if she wished to get back at those who tried to take advantage of her situation.

Without hesitation, Madam Ying tossed back the very same pouch that Xu Feng had given to her earlier.

”Now, can we head over there?” She asked calmly.

”Of course, we can.” He quickly stuffed the pouch into his inventory and gestured for her to follow him with great enthusiasm.

50 gold coins... he nearly had a heart attack when paying the bill.

But now everything was alright. Not only did he get back the money, but he could also gain another 50 gold coins from Evelyn.

He was surely a real genius at making money.

As for morals or ethics?

Let’s be real... You either go broke or starve to death. Or throw away those so-called ethics and morals to become rich and enjoy life.

Sometime later, the two arrived at the bustling Training Hall.

”Nobody pushes or attempts to skip the lines! Don’t even bother offering bribes or threats to those in front of you. Everyone must line up in accordance; otherwise, you can go to the back of the line!”

”Any repeated offenders caught breaking the rules would be blacklisted, too! Don’t test our members’ eyesight. We can recognize your faces!”

Almost immediately, they heard announcements from Vanguard Guild members who informed them from time to time about the rules.

Because of how popular the training hall was and its effect being known to the majority now, almost every player came to visit the town mainly for this building. Therefore, many Vanguard Guild members were deployed here to maintain order.

And so far, there have been a few incidents where players attempted to test their limit and the Vanguard Guild’s bottom line. Needless to say, these players were not only blacklisted from the Training Hall but also banned from entering the Haven Wind Town.

With that as precedent, the lines were very organized and neat. Not a single player even dared to skip the line, lest they might earn themselves a permanent blacklist.

That would really be a death sentence if they get blacklisted!

Yet amidst this kind of mindset, they saw two people bypassing the entire line.

”What are you doing?”

”Don’t even try to skip!”

”Even Vanguard Guild members have to line up in the other section!”

Instantly, people began calling them out in fury. They had been waiting for more than half an hour already, so the frustration was natural.

Moreover, Vanguard Guild members had another line designated to them, which meant they also had to line up. The only special privileges were being able to pay less and having a lower waiting time. But the latter wasn’t that much different than other regular Training Hall members’ waiting time.

Sure enough, the nearby Vanguard Guild members quickly approached the two to check on the commotion.

However, they didn’t get too close until they all retreated.

This reaction caused those in the lines to become stupefied.

Amidst their shock and bewilderment, the two continued ahead and entered the Training Hall with no resistance.

”What happened to the no skipping lines?”

”Is this all a damn lie!”

”Explain yourself, Vanguard Guild!”

Needless to say, the crowd went into an uproar.

”Shut up! That’s our Vanguard Guild Leader! Seriously, how are you people still not able to recognize our Guild Leader’s face?” One Vanguard Member raised their voice and questioned their intelligence.

But then shortly after he finished, another member came to inform him of something. ”Uhh, the Guild Leader was wearing a mask. We recognize him because of the emblem.”

”I-I know that!” They quickly cleared their throat and shouted for the rest to quiet down before retreating from the scene.

As they left in embarrassment, Xu Feng remained unaware of the aftermath. He wasn’t going to pay attention to this kind of scene every time.

Instead, he was more focused on luring Madam Ying to be attracted to his town.

”The facility... not bad.” Madam Ying narrowed her eyes. She was quite startled at the equipment all being top-notch and even maintained well.

Not to mention, the arena stage literally allowed them to go all out without the need to worry about inflicting life-threatening injuries.

If anything, this facility was even more advanced than the Empire’s military training ground.

”Are you interested in having a try?” Xu Feng suddenly suggested she have a go at some simulation.

”How much are you planning on charging me?” She mused.

”First time is free.” He chuckled heartily. As expected of a businesswoman, her instinct was so spot on.

She even requested how much the fee was from the get-go, clearly knowing well he was totally going to do just that.

Indeed, speaking with the same type of people was easier.

”I see...” Madam Ying nodded gently and scoped around.

”But I don’t see any arena available at the moment for me to test. My time is quite limited.” She continued, emphasizing that she couldn’t possibly wait for long.

To summarize, she was in a rush but wanted to take the chance to check Xu Feng’s overall foundation.

”Rest assured, there’s an exclusive arena that’s not open to the public for use.” Xu Feng smiled and proceeded to guide her to the interior.

Needless to say, the interior was guarded by NPCs hired by them in the past.

Although their strength was Tier 2, their experience alone was enough to overwhelm any regular players.
