Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1032: Rapid Improvement

Time quickly went by, and Kailey returned with great news.

”My superior made an exception for you because you were one of the few to join our Vanguard Chamber of Commerce. But since it’s the first time you’re asking for a tab, the interest rate will be a bit high.” She explained.

Despite learning the interest rate would be high, Natasha’s eyes practically lit up.

She clasped her hands and readily agreed. ”No problem, I understand the interest rate. It’s similar to a credit score that banks use.”

Money was never a problem for her. It was just that she never expected a town to be so draining of money that her wealth went to subzero.

With this set as precedence, Natasha learned to never hold less than 10 gold coins in her pocket from now on. The embarrassment of running out of money was definitely not something she wanted to experience again.

Sometime later, Kailey relayed the information she received. The interest rate came to a total of 35%, which nearly caused Natasha to faint from anger.

Not even banks charged such a high interest rate!

”Hey, if you don’t want to have such a high interest rate, why don’t you borrow money from me?” Xu Feng suddenly chimed in and said with a bright smile.

”You will lend me money?” Startled, Natasha raised an eyebrow. She was about to view him in a new light until she heard his next remarks.

”Of course, I will lend you money. I won’t charge you 35%, but only 34%.” Xu Feng spread his arms wide, mimicking like he was some sort of savior.

”See how generous I am when compared to the Vanguard Guild!” He continued, seemingly believing his interest rate was fair and just.

”SCRAM!”

Without any surprise, Natasha lashed out and raised her leg. She wanted to give him a kick, but Xu Feng was very slippery.

Before she could even swing her leg, Xu Feng had already retreated behind Kailey’s side.

”Don’t you think I deserve some discount, Miss Kailey? I managed to assist you again in baiting her to accept the high interest rate.” He teased her with a cheeky smile.

Since he was going to act as a new persona, then naturally, he needed to become different from Lin Feng and Cool Wind. And what better way was there than to become a flirty and witty person?

Kailey was rendered speechless, unable to comprehend his behavior.

Nevertheless, his assistance was extremely useful because Natasha readily agreed to the high interest rate.

”I’d rather borrow from a reputed guild than some scoundrel.” She signed the contract after inspecting it thoroughly.

Once the deed was done and she could use the chamber again, Natasha darted at Xu Feng and raised her middle finger.

The gesture was clearly meant as an insult, but Xu Feng instead reacted as if he was about to become violated.freeweb\n(o)v.e\l.com

He swiftly covered his chest and shook his head. ”Stop it, you vile woman! I’m not interested in you, so stop showing me the signs that you want to make love with me.”

Everyone knew what the middle finger stood for, but barely anyone would have their mind wander into making love.

”Fuck you, Nathan!” Natasha cursed aloud and continued, ”You just keep provoking me repeatedly. Who the hell wants to make love with you?”

”I don’t know. Just please be anyone else but you.” Xu Feng clasped his hands and prayed sincerely.

”...”

Watching their banter, Kailey’s head felt like spinning. They were definitely both adults, so why were they behaving as if they were some children at a playground who wanted to play with that one specific section?

Alas, she could only put her thoughts aside as Natasha entered the chamber.

As soon as she was faced with a similar scenery, she didn’t rush ahead or anything. Instead, she paused the scene and began calming her mindset.

’The illusory figure is not to be underestimated. They can mimic the majority of my spells and have greater combat experience.’ Natasha warned herself.

Despite not understanding the illusory figure’s full kits, she reckoned their ability was hailed from the abundant data gathered by the Vanguard Guild and inputted on the illusory figure.

When a guild managed to obtain so much data, it would be an easy walk to the park to construct such a simulation.

”Resume!” Natasha declared after taking a deep breath.

Almost immediately, she activated numerous scouting spells to ensure there were no potential sneak attacks whatsoever.

At the same time, she began setting up multiple trap zones.

In her initial stage, she never cared much about defending her perimeter or herself because she believed the best defense was going on the offense.

However, that perception naturally changed the moment she realized not all enemies she encountered were weak or pig-headed and couldn’t muster any strategy or counterattack.

The illusory figure also seemed to have analyzed that the opponent was making a different set of moves and followed suit with setting up the perimeter that benefited it.

While this was happening in the chamber, outside of it, Kailey’s expression turned solemn.

’No wonder she was so eager to return to the chamber. She became enlightened and was experiencing rapid improvement.’ Kailey thought to herself. She had moments like this as well and it was the kind of zone that you would regret for life if you missed it.

”Hmm, she managed to protect her surroundings and even used a sound alert to ensure her reaction time would be fast in case of any sudden danger.” Xu Feng commented.

”I might be in danger if we were to have a second fight.” He added.

Based on Natasha’s setup, he knew that the strategy he used in their fight could no longer be effective. With those sound alerts, Natasha would be able to react on time and deflect his preemptive strikes.

”You are too humble, Mister Nathan.” Kailey chuckled softly. ”I’ve seen what you did in the chamber, and your skills are far above Miss Natasha.”

She had personally witnessed the illusory figure level and proficiency at Xu Feng’s chamber. It was like comparing a toddler to an adult when she glanced at Natasha’s illusory figure.
