Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 906: Million Plus Damage

Facing the intense pressure from the Slaughter Chainsaw, Xu Fengʼs expression remained calm and collected.

Sorry, but this isnʼt the fourth challenge where he would be frightened by its presence.

ʼWant to target me huh?ʼ Xu Feng sneered inwardly. Since the moment he chose a healer, he had long known how great of a priority he would be against his enemies.

Only a fool would let a healer live and remain on the battlefield.

Thus, Xu Feng was used to being targeted most of the time once the taunt became ineffective and the tanks were useless to block them off.

After all, tanks are one of the most cowardly players Xu Feng had known in life. Sure, there were some honorable ones, but most often or not, the tanks he dealt with were cowardly and refused to die with honor.

They would spout excuses like their i-frame was down and could not afford to tank any more damage without even bothering to announce it to their teammates.

I-frame meant invincibility frame which was a special phase where the player would be immune to all sorts of damage for a certain duration. It was the most precious and critical skill that players had to save to ensure its usage was at a moment where there could be no dodging room.

”Guild Leader!” Carmen called out, seemingly wanting to rush to his side to defend him.

However, Xu Feng raised his hand and halted her movement.

”No worries, I havenʼt done close combat for a while. Others might really think Iʼm just a weak healer who is very easy to kill.” He exclaimed, feeling excited.

With the time constraint and the Slaughter Chainsaw actively trying to kill him, the pressure was intense. However, it was precisely because of having to face this kind of pressure that excited him thoroughly.

And no, he was not a masochist. He was simply enjoying the moment of a true gamer where one challenged to the extreme to test their limits.

Even if they were to fail, so long as they could retry, they would continue to do so until they mastered it.

When Carmen noticed the excitement exuding from Xu Feng, she heaved a soft sigh. She had recognized this type of attitude from him in the past.

ʼSeems like the Guild Leader is hiding even more secrets.ʼ She thought to herself.

With Xu Feng insisting on facing the boss, the position between them had swapped. Now Carmen would take on the support role whereas Xu Feng would take on the damage dealer role as well as the tank role.

After all, her voidlings were practically rendered useless in terms of taunting.

But they could still do some damage, albeit not high enough to cause any changes.

”Alright, Iʼll support you from the side then,” Carmen commented.

Xu Feng didnʼt bother to respond as he was concentrated on the Slaughter Chainsaw.

In a matter of seconds, the Slaughter Chainsaw had already closed the gap between them. At a close distance, it soon raised its saw arm and swung it toward Xu Feng.

In response, Xu Feng sidestepped to avoid the range of the saw arm. Having witnessed its attack range for a while, he had already determined how far he needed to move to avoid being hit.

Therefore, the saw appeared to narrowly miss Xu Feng, but it was all calculated.

Right after the Slaughter Chainsaw finished its motion, there would be a 2-second delay. And it was then that Xu Feng sneered as he used Nether Blast, followed by Judgment Ray.

The damage was expected to be low, but that didnʼt dampen Xu Fengʼs motivation one bit.

Aura of Dread!

When he detected the Slaughter Chainsaw was about to retaliate, he finally used one of his baptism skills, Aura of Dread.

Soon, his body emitted a faint yet unsettling aura within a 5-meter radius.

Although the Slaughter Chainsaw was immune, its movement speed had slowed by a significant 3%. Moreover, its swinging motion was reduced by a whopping 6%.

A 6% might not seem much at a glance, but that kind of percentage was enough for Xu Feng to do many things.

Going through with the momentum, Xu Feng proceeded to use Divine Wrath as well.

Added to the presence, an Aura of Fear was also stacked on top of the Aura of Dread. A fearsome aura soon enveloped Xu Feng and the Slaughter Chainsaw was starting to be intimidated by him.

Nevertheless, it growled furiously in response and still swung its saw arm toward him.

Xu Feng hissed as he didnʼt have any intention to dodge. Rather than dodging, he kicked the ground and propelled himself closer to the Slaughter Chainsaw.

SLASH!

The saw arm landed cleanly on him, but the Slaughter Chainsaw was struck in a daze when it noticed Xu Feng was still alive and kicking.

”Surprise? All damages are now reduced by 90%, so too bad for you.” He snickered coldly. The baptized state was indeed overbearing and domineering.

Not even a boss-type monster with many levels above him could nullify the effect of the Divine Wrath.

Following the success of being able to withstand the damage, Xu Feng went all out with his Origin Cleric Skill.

A massive plant-like construct emerged from the ground next to the Slaughter Chainsaw.

Stunned by its appearance, the Slaughter Chainsaw wanted to cut it off with its saw arm, only to realize its growth rate was increasing rapidly.

”Thank you for feeding its growth.” Xu Feng mused and activated Ethereal Tether, successfully linking him and the distracted Slaughter Chainsaw.

”Letʼs see if you dare to target a healer again!”

His eyes turned cold as he followed it up with Anathemaʼs Touch, using its first effect of converting any healing done into pure damage. The best part about this was that it scaled with the casterʼs magic power.

And at this particular moment, Xu Feng had long buffed himself to the maximum limit.

”Be healed, you damn boss!”

GROWL!

A whopping million-plus damage was inflicted straight into the Slaughter Chainsaw, bringing its health point down to 897,532.
