Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 901: Slaughter Chainsaw

As Carmen became informed that the system was still black-hearted, she wasted no time in consuming her recovery potions.

Without the restriction, she could finally recover at her usual pace. Despite this, it didnʼt lessen her frustration one bit.

After all, their recovery in mana and health was fast, but their mental health had yet to recover.

Through waves 3 and 6, Carmen had practiced extremely hard in the beacon relay that Xu Feng had lectured on. Her proficiency had increased as time went on, but then the multi-task was starting to take a drain in her.

The beacon relay was scattered across, so Carmen needed to keep track of everything. Otherwise, one mishap and their formation would falter, causing the battle to be more difficult.

Moreover, Xu Feng couldnʼt pay attention on her behalf either because he had to focus on luring the other monsters away. In fact, his multi-tasking was even greater than hers because Xu Feng needed to keep her voidlings alive.

She couldnʼt summon unlimited voidlings because there was a cooldown. In other words, Xu Feng couldnʼt even relax for even a second, lest the voidlings count on their side would decrease dramatically.

”Guild Leader, are you alright?” Carmen asked in concern. She could tell Xu Fengʼs face was rather pale and was barely sustaining himself mentally.

”Yeah, Iʼll just need a few minutes of rest.” Xu Feng smiled bitterly. The current him was really struggling to recover. He closed his eyes and consumed some recovery potions. The amount of concentration he expended was enough to send a person into a coma if they werenʼt well prepared.

Seeing his condition, Carmen simply nodded her head and spoke no more. She understood that he needed ample rest. As for the timer in the sky counting down, she turned a blind eye to it.

Nothing was more excruciating than having to wait for an unknown amount of time.

Time went by, and just as the Timer reached 50 minutes, Xu Feng finally opened his eyes.

”Are you ready?” He then asked.

”Long ready.” She stretched her hands and neck, clearly waiting for the final battle. This secret dungeon could be said to be the most trickiest and infuriating dungeon she had ever done. Not only did it repeatedly test her will, but it was also intended to force her to lose her sanity.

Her emotions practically fluctuated constantly the moment she stepped foot inside the dungeon. ʼIʼm never going to do some secret dungeons again. This is way too stressful.ʼ

Sometime later, the two got up and consumed all of their buffs. Without a doubt, the final battle was going to be the most difficult one.

As Xu Feng took a deep breath, he pressed ”Yes” on the system prompt, indicating that they wished to proceed with the final battle.

[Final Battle Commenced! Defeat the monster and achieve the awakened form of Ultimate Will!]

Despite the system prompt being relatively straightforward, both Xu Feng and Carmen raised their vigilance as they noticed the exit door was the one opening.

A rumbling footstep sound could be heard and the ground tremor from the sensation.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

What followed the footsteps was the sound of a chainsaw being active.

The harsh, grinding sound of a chainsaw revving up pierced through the silence. A jagged screech that felt like it was tearing through the air itself.

From the shadowy corridor, a towering figure emerged.

It was nearly three meters tall, its body a grotesque blend of rusted metal, torn musculature, and corrupted wires. Thick chains hung off its torso like flayed tendons, twitching unnaturally with every movement.

Its right arm was entirely replaced by a monstrous chainsaw limb, triple-bladed and spinning wildly, spewing sparks and black oil across the cracked ground.

The smell of scorched iron and blood filled the chamber.

Its head was helmeted—an iron cage fused into its shoulders, with one singular red eye glowing behind metal bars. There were no facial features, no mouth, no nose—only the eerie, mechanical hum of something that should not be alive.

Along its back, dozens of serrated saw fragments jutted outward like twisted spines, constantly grinding together as if feeding on rage. Its entire body pulsed with barely contained energy, and every movement it made seemed to threaten explosive violence.

Xu Feng frowned heavily upon spotting who was the final boss.

”Of course, itʼs got to be him.” He clicked his tongue and hissed coldly.

Meanwhile, Carmen glanced at Xu Feng with a somewhat amused expression. After all, the monster was none other than the monster they had to avoid and escape in their fourth challenge, Slaughter Chainsaw.

Boss: Slaughter Chainsaw

Type: Aberrant Machine-Horror

Level: 55

HP: 30,000,000

Description: A nightmarish fusion of a hulking humanoid and a rusted mechanical contraption. The Slaughter Chainsaw drags a grotesquely large buzzsaw that spins with cursed energy, spewing sparks and blood with every movement. Covered in stitched metal plates and twitching muscle tissue, its very presence exudes malice and suppression. Wherever it walks, the ground cracks and every step shakes the soul.

As Carmen took a look at its status screen, her eyes widened in disbelief.

A level 55 boss rank monster?

The system seriously intended to make them struggle to the end without any breathing room.

The highest level requirement was 45 to be eligible to enter the dungeon, but the final boss was level 55, a whopping 10 levels difference.

Not to mention, Xu Feng had yet to reach level 40, so it was way more than 10 levels of difference.

”Guild Leader…” Carmen furrowed her brows and appeared hesitant.

”Fret not, itʼs just level 55 and nothing more.” Xu Feng snorted and clenched his staff tightly. Now that he could confront the Slaughter Chainsaw, it was not scary at all.

Unlike the previous encounter where he was incapable of dealing damage, he could now damage the boss.

If a boss can be damaged, then it can be killed! Just like how if a god could bleed, it could also die.

There was no need to be afraid as long as their opponent could bleed and be damaged!
