Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 400: Dark Legion

Anna Liu was not just a simple secretary, but also an expert in technology.

In addition to assisting Zhao Xin with her schedules and arrangements, she was also responsible for the network security of the Zhao Enterprise.

Therefore, her standings were above the numerous employees and under one person only, Zhao Xin.

Not even Zhao Xinʼs grandfather, Zhao Gaofu could command her to do things on his behalf.

”Anyway, you should prepare as well once the major update is finished.” Zhao Xin gazed at her and instructed, ”Youʼre going to be in charge of leading the Dark Legion guild, so itʼs best to prepare yourself.”

Dark Legion was the private guild that Zhao Xin had secretly created and funded. The shares of the guild were completely under her control despite not being an actual part of it.

On the surface, Anna Liuʼs Divine World account was the Guild Leader and owned 5 percent of it, but the true leader had always been Zhao Xin.

Nodding her head, Anna Liu didnʼt dare to disobey the command. ”The guild is currently operating in Silvergale Port, and we will head to Star Falls City as soon as possible.”

”Good, and make sure to continuously purchase the Divine World currency. Iʼm afraid its value is only going to continue to rise, so we must get ourselves a sufficient amount of coins.”

”Yes, Miss.”

Shortly after, Anna Liu exited the office, most likely to contact the members who were in training to start getting ready.

Meanwhile, Zhao Xin continued to stare at the slots being bid for in amusement. ʼOne day, the Dark Legion guild will also be successful like the Vanguard guild.ʼ

Time swiftly passed by, and before long, the remaining last 5 slots had been auctioned off.

And by this time, there was less than an hour left until the Divine World officially went live again.

The auction was fierce, but also very long, with each interval of the slot having a delay of 15 minutes. Naturally, this was a scheme to ensure the biddersʼ mentality to be in the low and to gather more funds during the wait.

Hence, what should have been done in an instant, had taken them at least 4 hours to complete.

At a hotel, Carmen stretched her hands and smiled widely at the satisfying bidding result.

”Woo, the Guild Leader sure is a mastermind in knowing the psychology of humans. To think the last 5 slots were sold for a massive amount of 700 thousand dollars.” Carmen had no choice but to admit Xu Fengʼs shrewdness was unmatched by anyone.

Just this auction alone had already generated at least 5 million dollars.

Who knew making money could be this easy?

Of course, Carmen also understood that this was only possible because of the guarantees and achievements that the Vanguard guild had made.

ʼCould it be that the Guild Leader had planned on using the branch Reaver guild from the start to establish dominance and prestige?ʼ Carmen suddenly knitted her brows and wondered about this possibility.

With Reaver Guildʼs prestige, not many dared to confront it head-on or even survive if they did proceed with it. Yet the truth was undeniable when Vanguard did exactly that and not just survived, but also ruined the foundation of the branch as well.

”Guild Leader is just too unfathomable.” She muttered, retrieved her phone, and proceeded to send a text message to Xu Feng regarding the result.

Xu Feng, who was still somewhat drowsy, softly rubbed his eyes when he heard his phone buzzing repeatedly.

”Ugh, didnʼt I set it in silent mode?” Confused and still tired, Xu Feng extended his hand to reach for his phone.

Upon getting flashbang by the white light, he was prompted to shut his eyes swiftly before opening it again slowly.

”Carmen?” He then noticed the sender was Carmen, and was a bit baffled. She should have known he was supposed to be dead asleep, given that he hadnʼt responded to her, so why would she keep sending him messages?

Rubbing his eyes, Xu Feng put on his glasses and finally realized it was about the external auction being a success.

”Hmm, only a little bit over 5 million huh. Maybe if I had made sure to announce it worldwide, the money would have been more, but it is what it is.” He murmured, unwilling to involve too many parties in this particular raid.

If it wasnʼt because the guild was short of funds, Xu Feng wouldnʼt have been willing to share some of the loot and glory with other guilds.

Dialing a video call to Carmen, her face soon appeared on the hologram.

”You really fell asleep huh, Guild Leader.” Carmen mused upon seeing Xu Fengʼs drowsy expression. It sure was a rare sight to see him somewhat unenergetic since she had even begun to wonder if he was human or not, given his brain was constantly churning and coming up with multiple schemes and deals.

”I needed to get some sleep to be fully focused for the upcoming raid.” Xu Feng yawned a bit and explained.

”But Iʼm confused about one thing, Guild Leader.” Carmen furrowed her brows. ”When did you start preparing for the raid? It canʼt be that you were waiting for the major update to begin, right?”

”Of course, not.” Xu Feng rolled his eyes. ”This raid was planned for a while, but I didnʼt want to do it too soon. After all, I didnʼt want to affect the progress, but that concern is no longer a factor.”

Initially, he had been worried about the butterfly effect from triggering, but with the update serving as a stern reminder, Xu Feng realized he couldnʼt stop it no matter what. Since it was inevitable that the Divine World knew everything, there was no point in being cautious.

What would come would eventually arrive, so why worry?

”Anyway, are you on a plane right now?” Xu Feng questioned once he finally took notice of her surroundings.

Nodding, Carmen flashed a gentle smile. ”Hehe, I know you must have wanted to show me more, but the update is too sudden. Iʼll meet you back at the Divine World.”
