Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 361: Test Passed?

After gazing at the sky, a voice echoed from out of nowhere.

”How did you know that wasnʼt my real body?” Earthrender inquired. ”I made sure to mimic everything properly and all the tiny details correctly.”

”Everything was perfect, but precisely because it was so perfect that I knew I was infected by the illusion already.” Xu Feng exclaimed, sat down, and crossed his legs.

Although it sounded cool, the truth was fairly simple. Earthrender was not the type to simply materialize itself and reveal its true self to others.

At least not until it had accepted a player or person as its companion.

Since he hadnʼt even passed the test, much less understood what it was going to be about, then there could be only one answer. The Earthrender in front of him was a fake— an illusion to be precise.

As for the trembling sensation, Xu Feng believed it was a mind-tricking skill that was capable of affecting his eyes into thinking the ground was shaking.

If Xu Feng had to take a guess, then this particular test was to see whether he could break out of the illusion or not. By creating such a realistic sensation, Earthrender might be planning on entrapping Xu Feng here.

With the entrapment placed and failure to get out of it, meant that the test was officially over.

”I see how it is. Being overly perfect can be a flaw too.” Earthrenderʼs voice echoed throughout the realm.

Shortly after a new portal door emerged in front of him.

”Since you passed this test, you may continue by going through the new portal door.” He continued, seemingly moving Xu Feng to another stage to take his next test.

However, Xu Feng remained in his position, still sitting on the ground.

ʼWant to deceive me with such a paltry trick? Could it underestimate me any further?ʼ He inwardly sneered, finding Earthrenderʼs behavior laughable.

”Why arenʼt you heading to the portal door to advance to the next test?” Earthrenderʼs voice echoed throughout the realm once again.

”Because the portal door doesnʼt exist, or more specifically, it doesnʼt lead to the next test.” Xu Feng responded. Since everything was an illusion, then even his words could not be trusted.

There was only one thing he trusted at this moment, and it was the system prompt.

Unless the system prompt appeared stating he had passed, Xu Feng would not believe what his eyes and ears were seeing or hearing right now.

With his resolution, Earthrender was seemingly speechless. ʼI made sure the portal door is glitching somewhat to ensure its flaw, but this person still refused to believe it.ʼ

Shortly after, Xu Feng finally received a system prompt, stating that he had passed the illusion test.

”Alright, you outdid yourself this time.” The moment Earthrender finished its statement, Xu Feng felt his body being moved by an invisible force. Soon, his vision blurred and before he realized it, he found himself back at Paradise Plains.

”Woo, Iʼm sure everyone has just witnessed our Contestant Lin Feng passing the test. Now, heʼs qualified to actually start forging for our eyes to see.” The Emcee announced excitedly.

”Hahaha, Iʼve been waiting for this!”

”This competition is really more exciting than the past.”

”Look at Crimson Heart already beginning the forge. I wonder who can forge faster.” Continue your adventure with empire

ʼCrimson Heart?ʼ Startled, Xu Feng glanced around and noticed Crimson Heart hammering on the anvil, her expression filled with seriousness.

While Crimson Heart continued her forge, she sensed someone staring at her intensely. She gave a glimpse at him and smirked, ”Guild Leader, I wonʼt go easy on you just because youʼre the guild leader. This competition is mine to win.”

”What are you forging?” Curious, Xu Feng asked softly.

”A secret,” Crimson Heart mused, unwilling to divulge her secret to him.

Xu Feng was silent for a moment. It was normal for her to want to keep it a secret, given he would do the same.

However, something felt off.

The atmosphere, the crowd, the stage, everything was exactly how it should have been.

In fact, he even began to ponder what kind of forging he should do to win.

”Contestant number 69, why are you still in a daze. Thereʼs only two hours max and I wonʼt extend the time.” Yaren said in an annoyed tone from above.

”Yeah, stop trying to stall and forge already.”

”It canʼt be that you got smitten by your contestant and want to throw the competition?”

”I swear if you dare to throw in hopes to bang that woman, then weʼll thrash you right here and then.”

The audience started to cause a ruckus, clearly displeased by Xu Fengʼs nonchalant behavior and action. This was a competition and they were here to see who was the better blacksmith.

Still, Xu Feng remained motionless, prompting Yaren to snap her fingers.

A few seconds later, Xu Feng received a slap to the face and staggered a few steps back. At the same time, his health points decreased by 10 percent.

Xu Feng then slowly touched the side of his face, feeling a burning sensation from the aftermath of the slap.

ʼDid I really get sent back to the competition stage without any warning whatsoever?ʼ He questioned silently, knowing that the pain was real. Added to the fact that his status screen indeed showed the loss of his health point.

No matter how powerful Earthrender was, it could not falsify the System.

The System was like an omnipotent being, capable of controlling everything within the Divine World. No one was capable of imitating the system no matter what.

”Contestant number 69, are you still going to remain idle and ignore my authority?” Yaren exclaimed, rage filled her eyes.

Feeling the intense pressure, Xu Feng bit his lips and shook his head.

”No, I was just trying to ponder which forging I should do to win.” He responded, walking to his forge station.

Arriving at the forge station, Xu Feng noticed there were three forging designs available for him to choose from.

Radiant Plate, Shadowguard Armor, and Stormbreaker Gear.

ʼThese are all Rare equipment designs?ʼ Astonished, Xu Feng didnʼt expect he could simply learn that.
