Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

The intelligence system has been upgraded again! (Please give me a monthly ticket)At this sudden turn of events, everyone was stunned, their hair standing on end. Chairman Shi’s confidant driver for many years, killed just like that?

”Everyone, don’t panic. This man is an undercover agent planted by the Police Station in the Jinmen Group!” Chairman Shi said, calming everyone’s emotions.

”An undercover agent from the Police Station? Damn him!”

”Traitor!”

”Being a two-faced betrayer, betraying his brothers, he deserves a terrible death!”

”Good riddance!”

Chairman Shi’s subordinates, being very astute, cursed the driver, who had been Chungcheng’s confidant for over a decade, so much that his ancestral grave would be smoking green and his coffin lid couldn’t hold him down.

Just as Chairman Shi waved his hand, telling his subordinates to dispose of the driver’s body, Lee Se-hyun spoke up to stop him.

”Hey! Wait!”

Lee Se-hyun took out his phone, pressed the video recording button, and then said, ”I’m afraid he’s not completely dead, Chairman Shi, you should personally stab him two more times.”

”Then, the subordinates behind you, one by one, everyone gets a turn.”

Chairman Shi stared intently at Lee Se-hyun. If he hadn’t seen Lee Se-hyun holding his phone and filming them...

He almost believed him!

He actually thought Lee Se-hyun was being thoughtful, looking out for them.

It turned out that it happened too fast just now, and Lee Se-hyun didn’t even have time to react, to record a video as evidence, just like what happened at the Seobinggo Hotel back then.

”This...” A few subordinates who had a good relationship with the driver hesitated.

Since the Jinmen Group went legitimate, there have been very few real combat incidents. To put it plainly, they haven’t seen much blood anymore.

These were all old members of the Tiger Faction of the Jinmen Group. The Jinmen Group was originally a syndicate formed by the merger of three factions.

They were the current patriarch, Chairman Shi (Tiger Faction), the North Gate faction’s Xia Yi and Ding Qing, and the cunning Zhang Lao’er (Imperial Sun Faction).

Chairman Shi picked up the blood-stained dagger again, hardened his heart, and added many more holes to the driver’s body.

The driver, not yet fully dead, felt the pain and twitched faintly, his eyes filled with an unresigned stare.

”What are you all still standing around for?” Chairman Shi cursed angrily, ”A bunch of dog brats!”

Everyone swallowed hard. Chairman Shi’s crazed appearance genuinely scared them a little.

Lee Se-hyun clicked his tongue. This old man was truly ruthless. He killed his confidant of many years without a second thought, and didn’t even blink an eye while desecrating the body.

Even raising a dog would lead to affection, let alone a human?

In Chairman Shi’s eyes, some people’s lives might not even be worth a dog’s.

This further solidified his thoughts: Chairman Shi was heading for his own demise!

Lee Se-hyun transformed into a director, filming a murder movie, with Chairman Shi as the male lead, the driver and the subordinates as supporting actors, and Lee Se-hyun as the cameraman.

A violent and bloody movie, successfully completed!

Lee Se-hyun looked at the video on his phone and had already thought of a title: ”Loyal for Over a Decade, Betrayed by His Boss, Died Unresigned.”

”Are you satisfied now?” Chairman Shi wiped the blood from his hands and said.

”If your expressions could be a bit more vivid, and your demeanor a bit more natural, that would be even better!”

Lee Se-hyun waved his phone and said, ”How about we do it again?”

”?”

”...”

Chairman Shi wanted to curse internally. Do you think this is a movie set? Expressions? Demeanor? It makes it seem like uninformed people would actually believe they were acting.

Driver (dead): I have something to say, but I don’t know if I should say it!

The subordinates looked at Lee Se-hyun’s inhumane words, felt chills down their spines, and thought that the seemingly human Lee Se-hyun in front of them was like a demon.

Is this a Prosecutor? How could he be even scarier than them, the ones who live on the fringes?

Lee Se-hyun teased, ”Just kidding, Chairman Shi, why are you so nervous?”

”If you like desecrating bodies, and have this fetish, go play by yourself. I’m kind-hearted and can’t stand such things.”

”You...” Chairman Shi hesitated to speak, but ultimately, reason outweighed impulse, and he didn’t make any suicidal moves.

Among those present, he was the one who understood this person’s power the most. He was almost beaten to death by Lee Se-hyun, so how could he not understand?

Lee Se-hyun’s physical fitness as the Peninsula Captain was not an exaggeration. If he hadn’t held back, Chairman Shi would have long been reduced to heroic fragments.

”Oh, right.” Lee Se-hyun said meaningfully, ”Your Jinmen Group has been infiltrated by the Police Station like a sieve.”

”Especially around you!”

”Hey... Chairman Shi, why are there so many unfamiliar faces around you today?” Lee Se-hyun asked, puzzled.

Among the subordinates Chairman Shi brought, besides the driver whom he recognized (the driver was involved in the Seobinggo Hotel incident, which is why Lee Se-hyun framed him as an undercover agent), the others seemed... not to be seen at all?!

Chairman Shi looked a little sad and said, ”They’re all dead.”

Hiss ~

Lee Se-hyun gasped, ”They... they’re all dead?!”

”That’s right.” Chairman Shi said convincingly, ”A few days ago, enemies pursued them, and they were framed and all died unnatural deaths.”

”You people!” Lee Se-hyun feigned a sigh, ”You always kill entire families at the drop of a hat. With you parasites on The Peninsula, how can society be peaceful?”

”How can the people of The Peninsula feel at ease?”

”Don’t say that Section Chief Jiang has a grudge against you and is targeting you.”

”Chairman Shi!” Lee Se-hyun patted his shoulder, ”Do more good deeds, be charitable, and accumulate some virtue.”

”Yes!” Chairman Shi, despite his age, bowed and scraped before the young Lee Se-hyun, ”Prosecutor Li, you are absolutely right!”

”I’ll go back and donate, do charity, and be a law-abiding good citizen of The Peninsula! A five-star good citizen!”

If it weren’t to keep that matter a secret, why would Chairman Shi have killed everyone who knew, leaving only the driver?

Today, he was even framed by Lee Se-hyun.

Lee Se-hyun was impersonating a Prosecutor, and now Chairman Shi was the only one left who knew the truth.

If Chairman Shi died, no one in the world would know he was an impostor Prosecutor. Of course, a crazy woman also knew... Lee Se-hyun secretly smiled, but what if she knew?

Who would believe her? With no evidence or witnesses, even if Park Yeonjin reported it to the Police Station, would the Chief of the Police Station believe him, the fake Prosecutor, or a crazy woman?

The situation was set; the fake had become real.

Seeing that his objective was achieved, Lee Se-hyun turned to leave, saying, ”Are you sure they’re all dead? No survivors?”

Hmm... Actually, there was still a survivor!

That was Chairman Shi himself!

”Oh, right!” Lee Se-hyun looked back every three steps, reiterating, ”I only want cash, and it has to be US dollars. I’ll give you a week to gather the money.”

”I’ll contact you then.”

After hearing Lee Se-hyun’s repeated instructions, Chairman Shi’s face turned as black as Zhang Fei’s, as if he had eaten moldy kimchi.

”Useless! A bunch of useless people!” Chairman Shi directly overturned the table, grabbed a plate, and threw it at a subordinate nearby, ”A group of people holding knives, yet afraid of one person?”

”What am I feeding you for?!”

With a smack, the plate collided intimately with the forehead of a unlucky subordinate, making a crisp sound.

”Ah!!!” The subordinate clutched his injured forehead, not daring to resist.

The subordinates remained silent, heads bowed, not daring to breathe, fearing that Chairman Shi wasn’t satisfied and would vent his anger on them... Lee Se-hyun whistled, feeling great. Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed in his mind.

”Ding! The system has been upgraded!”

”Daily Intel System 1.1 --- 1.2 (Upgrading)”

Lee Se-hyun was puzzled. What was wrong with this system? Why did it upgrade out of nowhere?
