Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

207: Chapter 208 Detects Large-Scale Negative Public Opinion GenerationThree days after the conclusion of the financial war, the sky in Jiangcheng finally cleared up. In the corridors of Singularity Technology’s headquarters, the tension on the employees’ faces gradually faded, and their discussions became a bit more relaxed—the stock price had stabilized around 115 yuan, positive feedback from the third-quarter earnings report continued to ferment, and even several major overseas clients had proactively sent expressions of interest for cooperation. Everything seemed to be heading in a positive direction.

But in Zhang Fan’s office, the atmosphere was exceptionally heavy. He stared at the system warning prompts on his desk, his fingertips unconsciously tapping the surface as deep red text flashed repeatedly in his consciousness:

【Large-scale negative public opinion detected! Keywords: ”Singularity AI Medical Misdiagnosis,” ”brave peace and health Drug Fatality,” ”Photon Chip Radiation Exceeds Standards.” The source of propagation points to anonymous overseas servers, linked to the public relations firm ”Ogilvy PR (Offshore Branch)” controlled by the Tianming Group.】

”It’s finally here.” Zhang Fan rubbed the space between his eyebrows. Just as he was about to dial Song Zhiwei’s number, the office door was suddenly pushed open. Song Zhiwei held a tablet, her face frighteningly pale. The content on the screen caused Zhang Fan’s gaze to turn cold instantly—

On an overseas social media platform, an account named ”The Doctor Killed by AI” had posted a video. In the footage, a middle-aged man claiming to be a ”former doctor at the Mayo Clinic in the US” held up a blurred medical record. With tears streaming down his face, he accused the ”Singularity AI Medical System of misdiagnosing a late-stage cancer patient, causing the patient to give up formal treatment and die of liver failure after taking ’brave peace and health’.” Below the video, screenshots of a ”Patient Death Certificate” and an ”AI Diagnosis Report” were attached. The hospital name on the screenshots was deliberately blurred, and the diagnosis date was illegible.

Even more terrifying was that within just two short hours, this video had been forwarded by dozens of ”medical science popularization accounts” and ”patient rights protection groups.” On domestic short video platforms, ”localized” versions quickly appeared—some people claiming to be ”family members of patients” cried that ”a family member’s condition worsened after using Singularity AI diagnosis,” and ”influencer doctors” commented that ”the Singularity AI algorithm has major flaws and does not meet international medical standards.” Some people even launched an online petition to ”Boycott Singularity AI Medical,” and in just half a day, the number of signatures surpassed 100,000.

”It’s already affecting our physical business,” Song Zhiwei’s voice carried a hint of a tremor. ”I just received news that three domestic Grade-A tertiary hospitals have temporarily suspended the use of the ’Singularity Doctor’ system, demanding that we provide third-party certification of ’AI diagnostic accuracy.’ The ’brave peace and health’ aid stations in Europe also sent emails; local health departments want to re-test the drug ingredients and have temporarily stopped distribution.”

Zhang Fan took the tablet and quickly flipped through the so-called ”evidence”—the hospital’s official seal on the ”Patient Death Certificate” had blurry edges, clearly photoshopped; the format of the ”AI Diagnosis Report” was far from Singularity’s official template, and even core data fields were wrong; as for that ”former Mayo Clinic doctor,” he couldn’t be found at all in the doctor directory on Mayo’s official website.

”It’s all forged.” Zhang Fan’s tone was icy. ”Tianming Group lost the financial war, so they want to use these underhanded tactics to ruin our reputation. AI medical and ’brave peace and health’ are our core livelihood businesses; once the public loses trust, it’s more terrifying than a stock price crash.”

He immediately pressed the intercom to call the core team for a meeting. Ten minutes later, the conference room was full. Zhou Yurou had just rushed over from the R&D center, holding a diagnostic data report for the ”Singularity Doctor” system; Wang Jingdong brought the legal team and was sorting through legal clauses related to ”reputational infringement.”

Gu Jingshen pulled a specially encrypted USB drive provided by the authorities from his inner pocket and inserted it into a computer not connected to the internet. After opening it, the screen displayed the capital flows of the ”Ogilvy PR Offshore Branch,” clearly pointing to Tianming Group’s Panama accounts.

”On the technical level, we have absolute confidence.” Zhou Yurou projected the report onto the screen, where the red data curves were particularly striking. ”In the five years since the ’Singularity Doctor’ system went online, it has diagnosed over 200 million cases globally with a misdiagnosis rate of 0.28%, far lower than the international average (5%). As for ’brave peace and health,’ we send it to third-party agencies for testing every year; the most recent test report was just last week, and the drug ingredients are 100% standard with no safety hazards.”

”But the public doesn’t look at data; they look at emotions,” Song Zhiwei added. ”Those forged videos and tearful complaints are more inflammatory than dry reports. We must produce ’witnesses and physical evidence’ as soon as possible, such as finding the true situation of the ’patients’ in the rumors or getting authoritative institutions to speak up. Otherwise, the rumors will only spread further.”

Zhang Fan nodded and turned his gaze to Gu Jingshen. ”Old Gu, can you apply to the authorities again to see if we can find hard evidence of Ogilvy PR forging evidence? For instance, chat logs or transfer records proving they took Tianming’s money to deliberately manufacture rumors.”

”That’s no problem.” Gu Jingshen clicked the mouse a few times. ”When I came over, Qin Xue asked me to tell you that the official overseas intelligence group has already penetrated their internal servers and found some email correspondence. It mentions that ’negative content targeting Singularity AI Medical must cover major social platforms within 48 hours,’ but the specific transfer records are still being traced. We expect results by tonight.”

”Good.” Zhang Fan stood up and began deploying tasks. ”First, the technical side. Zhou Yurou, you are responsible for organizing typical success cases of ’Singularity Doctor,’ such as ’AI diagnosis of early-stage cancer saving a patient’ or ’hospitals in remote areas relying on AI to complete complex case diagnoses,’ accompanied by real interview videos of patients. Send them to the PR team within half an hour.”

”Second, the PR side. Song Zhiwei, immediately contact the National Health Commission and the Chinese Medical Association, requesting them to issue an official statement on the ’compliance of the Singularity AI Medical System.’ Simultaneously, invite ten top domestic oncology experts to hold an online press conference to demonstrate the AI diagnosis process live and refute the ’misdiagnosis’ rumors.”

”Third, the legal side. Wang Jingdong, your team should prepare litigation materials for ’reputational infringement.’ Once Gu Jingshen finds hard evidence from Ogilvy PR, sue them simultaneously domestically and abroad, demanding a public apology and compensation for our business losses.”

”Fourth, the intelligence side. Old Gu, you are still responsible for coordinating with the authorities. You must monitor capital flows and also monitor Tianming Group’s other moves—since they dare to spread rumors about AI medical, they will likely mess with ’brave peace and health’ or the Photon Chip as well. We must take precautions in advance.”

”Yes!” Everyone responded in unison and immediately stood up to take action. The atmosphere in the conference room was no longer heavy, replaced by a tense efficiency—having experienced patent wars and financial wars, they were long accustomed to this kind of ”crisis response.” They knew clearly that every second right now was related to the trust of tens of millions of patients and the company’s future.

Song Zhiwei walked quickly toward the PR department with the success cases sent by Zhou Yurou. She looked at the case of the patient diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer by the AI, who had now recovered and been discharged, holding a banner that said ”Thank you, Singularity AI.” She suddenly felt confident—rumors might incite emotions, but real life stories are the most powerful counterattack.

Zhou Yurou remained at the R&D center, directing her team to retrieve global medication data for ”brave peace and health.” On the screen, recovery feedback from patients in Africa and Southeast Asia refreshed constantly. There were handwritten thank-you letters from the elderly and photos of children smiling after recovery; these were ”evidence” that Tianming Group could not forge.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fan stayed alone in his office and activated the system’s 【Causality Deduction】 once more. On the screen, the propagation path of the rumors gradually became clear—from anonymous overseas accounts to domestic marketing accounts, from short video platforms to medical forums. Every node showed traces of Ogilvy PR’s manipulation, and even the comments from those ”influencer doctors” were pre-written scripts.

”Tianming, you think you can bring us down with rumors?” Zhang Fan whispered to himself, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. ”You forgot that our technology is used to save people; our reputation is validated by the lives of tens of millions of patients. In this war of public opinion, you are destined to lose even more miserably.”

At this time in Geneva, Switzerland, the ”Bishop” of the Tianming Group watched the escalating rumors on the screen, a cold smile curling on his lips. He said to the head of Ogilvy PR on the other end of the phone, ”Increase the intensity. Release the rumors about ’Photon Chip radiation exceeding standards’ as well. I want Zhang Fan to be so overwhelmed that he can’t attend to everything at once!”

An offensive and defensive war of public opinion centered on ”trust” had fully begun. What Singularity Technology had to protect was not just the company’s reputation, but the expectations of tens of millions for ”technology for good.”
