Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

203: Chapter 204 The Moment of Counterattack: The Western Giants PanickedAt 3 AM in Jiangcheng, Singularity Technology’s Legal Department remained brightly lit. Wang Jingdong led his team through the entire night, organizing patent loophole evidence against Aivda, Ouguang Semiconductor, and Nordic Sensing into three sets of complete countersuit materials.

Each document was hundreds of pages thick, with every link in the logical chain—from the R&D timeline and third-party test reports to the legal basis for the invalidity of the opposing party’s patents—tightly interconnected. Even the punctuation had been double-checked three times.

”The focus of Aivda’s countersuit material is ’falsifying the patent priority date.’ We’ve submitted their 2026 procurement records showing they had no high-precision spectrometers, along with carbon-14 test reports proving their lab records were forged later; Ouguang’s material centers on ’technical plagiarism,’ as our white paper was released three months before their supplementary materials, which is ironclad proof; Nordic Sensing’s is even simpler: surveillance footage plus R&D meeting minutes directly prove they pre-emptively registered undisclosed technology.” Wang Jingdong rubbed his bloodshot eyes and handed the materials to Zhang Fan, his tone full of certainty. ”These three sets of materials are enough to invalidate their patent applications, even in European and American courts.”

Zhang Fan took the materials and flipped through them quickly, his fingertip pausing on the page for ”Aivda Equipment Procurement Records.” ”Translate this procurement record into English and attach the official certification from Germany’s equipment traceability system to submit as core evidence. Also, contact the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to simultaneously initiate patent invalidation requests. We’re going to launch this counter-offensive globally at the same time.”

”Understood!” Wang Jingdong immediately arranged for an assistant to coordinate with the World Intellectual Property Organization, while the legal team split into three groups to submit countersuit materials to courts in ten European and American countries, simultaneously uploading electronic evidence to the courts’ designated platforms.

At 9 AM, as Aivda CEO Mark Anderson sat in his Silicon Valley office, preparing to read news of Singularity Technology being ”overwhelmed,” his assistant suddenly burst in frantically, holding an email from the Munich Court in Germany: ”Boss! This is bad! Singularity Technology has countersued us for patent invalidity and submitted evidence that we didn’t purchase high-precision spectrometers in 2026. The court has already accepted the case!”

Mark’s coffee cup hit the desk with a ”clatter,” scalding coffee splashing all over his documents. He snatched the tablet, and when he saw the evidence in the email, his face instantly turned pale.

He remembered clearly that Aivda’s ”2026 lab records” were forged in 2028 to pre-emptively register patents. At the time, he thought no one would check after so long, but he never expected Singularity to dig up even the equipment procurement records!

”Contact the legal team immediately! Have them find a way to refute this!” Mark roared at his assistant, his fingers trembling with rage. ”And call the CEOs of Ouguang and Nordic Sensing to see how they’re doing!”

But when the calls went through, the news was even worse—Ouguang Semiconductor had received a countersuit notice from the Rotterdam Court in the Netherlands. The ”Technical White Paper” evidence submitted by Singularity directly proved that their sensor patent supplementary materials were plagiarized.

Nordic Sensing was even worse off. The Geneva Court in Switzerland had not only accepted the countersuit but also required them to explain within 48 hours ”why they filmed the internal structure of Singularity’s prototype during the exhibition,” otherwise the patent would be ruled invalid immediately.

At the same time, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) issued an announcement on its official website, formally accepting Singularity Technology’s patent invalidation requests against the three companies and disclosing some core evidence (such as Aivda’s equipment procurement records and Ouguang’s white paper timeline).

As soon as the announcement came out, the global tech circle exploded—MIT Technology Review immediately published an article: ”Patent War Reversal? Singularity Technology Submits Hard Evidence, Western Giants Suspected of Patent Fraud.” The article detailed the chain of evidence and questioned whether companies like Aivda were ”pre-emptively registering patents by forging records.”

Song Zhiwei seized the opportunity. Using her family’s media resources, she edited the surveillance footage of the Nordic Sensing representative secretly filming the prototype into a short video and released it on overseas social media platforms.

In the video, the other party sneakily took apart Singularity’s prototype casing and filmed frantically with a phone. Paired with the text ”Is this the ’original spirit’ of Western companies?”, the video surpassed 5 million views in just two hours. The comment section was filled with terms like ”patent trolls” and ”support Singularity in defending its rights.”

The reversal in public opinion was directly reflected in the capital markets. Singularity Technology’s stock price, which had fallen due to the patent lawsuits, rebounded immediately at the opening after the countersuit materials were submitted. By noon, it had risen by 8.5%, with its market value recovering by nearly 90 billion.

Meanwhile, the stock prices of Aivda and Ouguang Semiconductor plummeted. Aivda, in particular, saw its stock price crash by 12% due to ”patent fraud” suspicions, with over $20 billion in market value evaporating. Wall Street analysts downgraded their ratings one after another.

”Boss, good news!” At 2 PM, Song Zhiwei rushed into Zhang Fan’s office with a tablet, her face full of smiles. ”Among the three companies, Nordic Sensing was the first to buckle. Their CEO just issued a public statement saying ’there was a misunderstanding regarding the patent dispute with Singularity Technology, and they’ve decided to withdraw the lawsuit and are willing to cooperate on technical exchanges.’ Also, Ouguang Semiconductor’s legal team contacted us; they want a private settlement and are willing to pay a $50 million ’technology usage fee,’ provided we withdraw our countersuit.”

Zhang Fan looked at Nordic Sensing’s statement on the tablet, a cold sneer forming at the corner of his mouth. ”A settlement is fine, but the conditions must change—Ouguang must admit to ’technical borrowing,’ issue a public apology, and the ’technology usage fee’ they pay must be entirely donated to the Global Cancer Patient Support Fund, named after Li Yong.

As for Nordic Sensing, withdrawing the lawsuit isn’t enough. Have them unconditionally transfer the pre-emptively registered patents to us; otherwise, we will continue to hold them liable for infringement.”

”Understood! I’ll have the legal team talk to them right away!” Song Zhiwei immediately turned and left with light steps.

Wang Jingdong followed in shortly after, bringing even more critical news: ”Gu Jingshen found something. Before their patent applications, Aivda, Ouguang, and Nordic Sensing all received ’R&D funding’ from Polaris Investment, totaling $230 million. The final destination of this money points to a shell company of Tianming Group in Panama. In other words, this patent war was indeed pushed by Tianming behind the scenes.”

Zhang Fan’s eyes instantly turned cold—Tianming Group was hiding behind the scenes, using money to bribe companies and attempting to drag down Singularity with a patent war. They really had it all figured out. ”Keep the evidence of this fund flow safe; don’t make it public for now.”

He pondered for a moment before making a decision. ”Aivda hasn’t given in yet. We need to push a bit harder—have the technical team release the latest test data for the Photon Chip. Its performance is 30% stronger than Aivda’s latest model. We’ll use our strength to prove our original technology and completely crush their confidence.”

That evening, Singularity Technology’s official website released the test report for the third-generation Photon Chip. In three core indicators—computing power, energy consumption, and stability—it completely surpassed Aivda’s flagship product. Energy consumption, in particular, was 40% lower, perfectly meeting the needs of next-generation AI and aerospace equipment.

After the report was released, several global tech companies (including Samsung and TSMC) sent cooperation inquiries, hoping to purchase Singularity’s Photon Chips.

The pressure shifted entirely to Aivda. Mark Anderson looked at the test report, then at the continuously falling stock price and the questioning emails from shareholders. He finally realized they were no match for Singularity Technology at all. Early the next morning, Aivda issued an official statement announcing it was ”withdrawing the patent lawsuit against Singularity Technology, acknowledging that there are differences in the technical routes of both parties and that no infringement exists.”

Thus, the patent war initiated by twelve Western companies ended in just three days with 3 withdrawals, 2 seeking settlements, and the remaining 7 suspending their lawsuits. Singularity Technology not only secured its overseas markets but also established its reputation as a ”benchmark for original technology” through this counter-offensive, with global business orders surging by 30%.

In the Legal Department office, Wang Jingdong and his team members cheered, celebrating this beautiful victory. Zhang Fan stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the city lights outside, but he didn’t feel much joy—he knew this was only the first round of attacks from Tianming Group. The real hard battle was still ahead.

He picked up his phone and dialed Liu Ruyan’s number, his tone serious: ”Notify the global branches to strengthen risk control for finance and the supply chain. Tianming won’t give up so easily; they might use even harsher methods next.

Additionally, have the technical team speed up the construction of an independent supply chain. We must achieve 100% self-controllability for core components to completely break free from others’ control.”

As the night deepened, the lights at Singularity Technology’s headquarters remained bright. The victory in the patent war didn’t make them let down their guard; instead, it made everyone realize—a larger storm was quietly brewing.
