Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

202: Chapter 203 The System Breaks the Impasse, Exposing the Truth!Inside the technical analysis room of Singularity Technology, over thirty screens were lit up simultaneously. Blue streams of code and patent documents scrolled across them. The technical team members stared intently at the screens, their fingers tapping rapidly on keyboards, yet they couldn’t hide the anxiety on their faces. The coffee on the tables had gone stone cold, ashtrays were overflowing with cigarette butts, and the air was thick with a mixture of caffeine and tension—twelve hours had passed since the Western companies initiated the patent lawsuits, and they still hadn’t found the definitive rebuttal evidence needed for a fatal blow.

”Aivda’s Photon Chip patent was filed on March 15, 2028. Our earliest R&D log for Rhine Photonics was recorded in November 2027. Although we were four months earlier, they are claiming a ’priority date’ of 2026, saying it was based on an earlier laboratory scheme...” Engineer Chen, the technical lead, pointed at the patent document on the screen, his tone carrying a sense of helplessness. ”This ’priority date’ is very hard to overturn. They submitted laboratory records from that time; although they look a bit rough, they appear compliant on the surface.”

Wang Jingdong sat to one side, using a magnifying glass to look over printed patent drawings, his brows knitted into a tight knot. ”Ouguang Semiconductor is even more ridiculous. The patent they’re suing us for sensor infringement lacks the key ’signal noise reduction module’ design in its technical scheme, yet they insist our module is a ’derivative improvement.’ This is simply unreasonable! But the problem now is that we have to produce solid evidence that their ’patent is invalid’; just saying it’s ’unreasonable’ is useless.”

Song Zhiwei also hurried over, holding the latest reports from overseas media. ”The situation isn’t good. Western media has already started creating hype, saying ’Singularity Technology rose by plagiarism.’ Even some neutral tech media have begun to question the originality of our patents. If we can’t produce evidence soon, the organizers of next week’s ’Global AI Medical Summit’ might cancel our keynote speech.”

The atmosphere in the conference room became increasingly oppressive. Everyone’s gaze turned toward the door—Zhang Fan had just finished a video conference with Rhine Photonics’ German factory. His face showed a hint of fatigue, yet he remained steady. He walked to the main screen, scanned the patent documents filling it, pressed his fingers lightly against his temples, and thought to himself: ’Activate System [Causality Deduction]. Target: Analyze the loopholes in the three core patents of Aivda, Ouguang Semiconductor, and Nordic Sensing; trace the key time nodes and evidence chain.’

[Causality Deduction activated, consuming 100,000 Intelligence Points...]

[Deducing: Aivda’s ’Photon Chip Architecture Patent’—Verifying the 2026 priority date laboratory records: Document No. A-202603. Experimental data contains ’post-modification traces’ (Carbon-14 ink testing suggests the modification time was January 2028). Correlated evidence: Aivda’s 2026 laboratory equipment procurement records show no ’high-precision spectrometer required for architecture testing,’ making it impossible to complete the described experiment.]

[Deducing: Ouguang Semiconductor’s ’Sensor Patent’—Technical scheme lacks ’signal noise reduction module’: This module is a core functional component of the sensor. Without it, the patented technology cannot be realized. Tracing patent examination records: In the supplementary materials submitted by Ouguang, the noise reduction module design highly overlaps with Singularity’s 2027 public technical white paper (92% similarity), and the submission date was 3 months after the white paper’s release.]

[Deducing: Nordic Sensing’s ’Medical Equipment Patent’—Evidence of preemptive registration: The technology corresponding to this patent is Singularity’s undisclosed prototype technology from the 2028 ’International Medical Equipment Exhibition.’ A representative from Nordic Sensing took photos of the prototype’s internal structure under the guise of ’exchange.’ The patent application date (October 2028) is earlier than Singularity’s application date (December 2028), but Singularity holds the 2027 technical R&D meeting minutes (including complete design drawings) and exhibition surveillance footage.]

[Deduction complete. Core loopholes marked. Correlated evidence chain paths generated.]

Zhang Fan opened his eyes, the fatigue in his gaze swept away and replaced by a sharp light. He pointed at Aivda’s patent document on the main screen and said to Engineer Chen, ”Check Aivda’s 2026 laboratory equipment procurement records, specifically looking for procurement information on ’high-precision spectrometers.’ Also, contact a third-party testing agency to perform Carbon-14 ink testing on their ’2026 laboratory records.’ Their records were modified in 2028; they aren’t the original documents.”

Engineer Chen was stunned for a moment but reacted immediately, typing rapidly on the keyboard. ”I’ll check right away! Our German headquarters has an equipment traceability system that can pull Aivda’s public procurement data!”

”Lawyer Wang,” Zhang Fan turned to the legal director, ”Regarding Ouguang’s sensor patent, go check the ’International Semiconductor Technology White Paper’ from March 2028. We released the technical details of the sensor noise reduction module then. Ouguang’s supplementary materials were submitted in June; the timeline doesn’t match. This is solid proof of their plagiarism.”

Wang Jingdong’s eyes lit up, and he immediately pulled out his phone. ”I remember that white paper! I even participated in the intellectual property filing back then; I can pull it up now! And as for Nordic Sensing, we definitely have their exhibition records. Once we pull the surveillance footage, we can prove they stole our technology and then preemptively registered it!”

”President Song,” Zhang Fan finally looked at Song Zhiwei, ”Contact authoritative overseas tech media. Don’t rebut them directly; first, leak clues like ’Aivda lacked key experimental equipment in 2026’ and ’Ouguang’s supplementary materials postdate our white paper.’ Let the media dig into it. We only need to release the evidence at the right time. The effect will be better than a direct shout-out.”

Song Zhiwei nodded. ”Understood! I’ll have the overseas PR team contact the ’MIT Technology Review.’ They’ve always focused on technical originality and will definitely be willing to investigate this!”

Over the next four hours, the atmosphere in the technical analysis room completely reversed. Engineer Chen pulled evidence from the German equipment traceability system—Aivda had not purchased a high-precision spectrometer in 2026 at all; they only made a supplementary purchase in January 2028. It was impossible for them to have completed the patent’s described experiment in 2026. The third-party testing agency also sent back preliminary results: the ink on Aivda’s ’2026 laboratory records’ was indeed formed in 2028.

Wang Jingdong found the March 2028 technical white paper. The title page clearly bore Singularity Technology’s logo and the release date. The noise reduction module design drawings inside were almost identical to the supplementary materials Ouguang submitted in June. Meanwhile, the administrative team pulled the surveillance footage from the 2028 International Medical Equipment Exhibition. The images clearly showed the representative from Nordic Sensing using a phone to take close-up photos of Singularity’s prototype internal structure, even secretly prying open the casing.

When all this evidence was compiled on the main screen, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Wang Jingdong looked at the screen full of solid evidence and couldn’t help but remark, ”These patent trolls thought they could get away with it by changing dates and copying designs. They didn’t expect us to be able to find even their equipment procurement records!”

Zhang Fan leaned back in his chair and picked up a cup of hot coffee. Looking at the evidence chain on the screen, he didn’t relax—this was only the first step in the patent war. Tianming Group wouldn’t give up so easily.

He gripped his phone and stood up, walking to the window before pressing the call button. His voice was low but clear: ”Old Gu, I need a favor. Have Qin Xue follow official procedures to investigate three companies—Aivda, Ouguang, and Nordic Sensing—for any recent financial transactions with Polaris Investment. Especially check the records around the time of their patent filings. I feel like this patent layout is off, as if Tianming is behind it, providing the funds and pulling the strings.”

There was silence on the other end for two seconds before Gu Jingshen’s somewhat teasing voice came through: ”You, every time you call me, it’s never something small. Official channels aren’t something I can just move on a whim. I’ll have Qin Xue organize the materials and report them up. Once there’s news, I’ll get back to you immediately.” He paused, then remembered something, his tone softening. ”My son’s birthday party is next weekend; you have to come. Last year you said you were busy, and the little guy talked about it for days.”

Gu Jingshen and Qin Xue had been married for eight years. Their son had just turned six. One handled coordination while the other handled execution; privately, they had long since become the divine duo everyone in their circle envied.

As the night deepened, the screens in the technical analysis room remained lit. The team members were still perfecting the evidence chain and preparing the counter-suit materials. Zhang Fan walked to the window and looked at the night view of Jiang City. The lights were brilliant, just like the night ten years ago when he first defended Li Yong.

He knew this patent war was just the beginning and that Tianming Group would have more tricks up its sleeve. But this time, they had the system’s Causality Deduction, solid technology and evidence, and a united team.

”Trying to suppress us using patent troll tactics?” Zhang Fan whispered to himself, a cold smile playing on his lips. ”Then I’ll show you what true technical confidence is, and what irrefutable originality looks like.”

At this moment in Geneva, Switzerland, the ’Bishop’ of Tianming Group looked at the report sent by his subordinates, his face grim. Singularity Technology had actually found the patent loopholes in just one day and started collecting evidence, which exceeded his expectations. He clenched his fist and gave an order to the person on the other end of the phone: ”Have Aivda and the others pick up the pace. Before Singularity submits their counter-suit, initiate lawsuits in more countries first to muddy the waters even more! Also, activate the second plan: contact the rating agencies to downgrade Singularity’s credit rating!”

The offensive and defensive battle surrounding the patents had only just entered its white-hot stage.
