Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Fierce Sun Lion · Oerstein

Even though Su Li’s subordinates were already very convinced by Young Master Su Li’s decisions, they were still extremely shaken by his decision to keep official knights out of the gate today.

These were official knights, who, even in the Elector’s territory, were qualified soldiers. A single sturdy ogre or beastman great horned beast could fight three or four armed and armored human soldiers, but one official knight could slay it.

Such outstanding soldiers, yet Young Master Su Li still wants to select and assess them?

What kind of army does Young Master Su Li want to build? Could it be like those prestigious knight orders, or the elite units like the Royal Guard Knight Order?

This deeply struck William and Sophie, who always thought their joining was Young Master Su Li’s luck, helping to strengthen his power.

But perhaps the truth is, joining Young Master Su Li’s team was their honor, purely for elite knights joining and providing family bonuses.

Su Li ignored the shock of the young people and asked Schwartz and Frederick, ”Do you two have connections with Knight Orstein?”

Frederick immediately asked: ”Fiery Sun Lion·Knight Orstein, the Knight Commander of the third squadron of the Red Night Knight Order?”

Su Li nodded and asked: ”I wish to invite him to join our pioneering team. How likely do you think it is?”

A champion-level knight, Su Li was determined to obtain him at any cost!

If he could be persuaded directly, that would be best, but if not, Su Li would trade even with vibranium to acquire him. With 150 kilograms of vibranium, it’s enough to make five sets of vibranium armor.

A set of fine knight plate armor generally weighs between 60 and 100 kilograms, but vibranium rune armor is not entirely made of vibranium; materials such as star iron, hard gold sand, earth dragon hide, cold iron leaf, and fine gold thread are added, especially star iron and cold iron leaf, which are the key raw materials to ensure the armor’s sturdiness. The advantage of vibranium lies in its extreme endurance, allowing it to inscribe more enchantments.

Using 150 kilograms of vibranium to exchange for an elite knight is definitely an offer that cannot be refused.

Upon hearing Su Li’s proposal, Frederick frowned slightly, saying: ”Young Master Su Li, to have Knight Commander Orstein join us is not an easy task.”

”Knight Commander Orstein is a devout Fiery Sun Goddess believer, known for his fearless and shining golden combat skills, as well as his pride and dignity, earning him the title of Fiery Sun Lion. He always appears with his loyal battle pet lion mastiff beast and powerful warhammer. He values honor, despising those in the knight order who hide their long hair and beards in helmets.”

”As a veteran of many battles, he has a firm belief and is immune to the psychological effects of war. When he fights alongside other knights, they are inspired by him to fight fearlessly as he does.”

”His most famous battle was during the Battle at Giant Cliff in Blood River Valley, when the fearsome giant leader · Headhunter · Zul led an army of thousands of giants, beastmen, and goblins rampaging in Blood River Valley. Knight Orstein went on an expedition with the Red Night Knight Order. In the presence of hundreds of elite knights, Knight Orstein engaged in a duel with Zul on the cliff, fighting from dawn till dusk, ultimately smashing Zul’s head with his warhammer, securing the ultimate victory for the knight order.”

”During that period, he was the most honored knight of the warband, and it seemed every month there were stories of his feats, while his strength rapidly advanced, quickly advancing from elite knight to high-tier elite knight. Everyone admired him and believed he would certainly break through to Champion Knight, becoming a strong candidate for the Grand Leader of the Red Night Knight Order.”

Listening to Knight Orstein’s grand past, Hilude felt her heart surging, as if a path to the Champion Knight was brilliantly unfolding before her.

But at this point, everything seemed to come to an abrupt halt. Obviously, something changed later, so she excitedly asked, ”And then? What caused Knight Orstein not to continue breaking through, missing out on becoming the Red Night Knight Order’s Grand Leader? Did something significant happen?”

Frederick’s brow furrowed tightly, clearly displeased with Hilude’s inquiry. The knight class places great importance on order, hierarchy, and etiquette. The gap between an apprentice knight and an elite knight is like an insurmountable chasm. The identities of a ranger knight and a kingdom knight cannot be equated. In most cases, an apprentice knight speaking abruptly to an elite knight without prior indication is seen as offensive. Some proud elite knights might even consider it an insult to their honor, erupt in anger, and give a harsh lesson, possibly even killing the other party.

However, considering Hilude was personally selected by Young Master Su Li and has been making breakthroughs recently, Frederick did not explode in anger and explained to Su Li: ”There was no significant incident, just a straightforward reason, Knight Orstein’s skills were no match for others. After that glorious battle, it was as if his strength hit a bottleneck, unable to advance any further. Therefore, in the critical battle of the Grand Leader selection for the Red Night Knight Order, he was shamefully defeated.”

”As a result, he once swore to wash away the shame and defeat Leader Ouldred. He is a very tenacious and ambitious person. If he left the kind of strong place like the Red Night Knight Order and joined a weak pioneering territory, it would be considered as abandoning his vow, afraid of facing challenges, and fleeing in shame. Therefore, he will not leave easily.”

Upon hearing this, Su Li’s confidence soared, laughing and saying, ”Weak? No, no, if he Orstein joins our team as an elite knight, perhaps some might think he’s shrinking away and giving up, but what if he successfully breaks through?”

Facing the shocked gazes of everyone, Su Li calmly said: ”Then everyone will think that he joined us to find an opportunity to become stronger. One day, this Fiery Sun Lion will return with greater power, wearing shiny armor, wielding a sparkling sword, radiantly challenging Leader Ouldred!”

Frederick and Schwartz were already gaping in shock: ”Young Master Su Li, you can help Knight Commander Orstein achieve a breakthrough?”

Both of them were elite knights, very well aware of how great a temptation this was for an elite knight!

It’s safe to say any knight in their lifetime is seeking opportunities to break through. Many knights even abandon their fiefs, embarking on a quest for advancement with sincerity and purity of heart. For this reason, they travel and fight everywhere, slaying beastmen, dragons, and countless other monsters, dueling powerful monsters and lords, resisting various worldly temptations, just to gain an opportunity to break through.

Therefore, many Champion Knights appear to be like immortal, divine Holy Knights, living legends emitting a power-filled, disciplined, and faithful aura, as scorching as the fires of hell.

If Young Master Su Li could help an elite knight complete a breakthrough, Frederick and Schwartz were certain that any knight hearing this news would go completely insane!

No wonder Young Master Su Li said, you will soon realize how valuable the opportunity to join our team is! Being able to join our team is their greatest opportunity.

This is an absolutely maddening fact!
