Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Recruiting a Knight Commander—Champion Knight!

The news that Frederick the knight under Su Li’s command tamed a half griffin quickly spread throughout Bauhinia Castle, causing the entire castle to be in an uproar.

It wasn’t just because taming a half griffin was a widely celebrated feat; the potent symbolic significance it brought was even more crucial! This indicated that joining Young Master Suli’s ranks was bound to present endless opportunities, with many benefits knights could only dream of, likely being attained within mere days of joining Suli’s team!

On the other hand, given Young Master Suli’s potential and rapid growth, upon reaching the Border Prince’s Territory, he would surely advance and establish a territory. This is the greatest opportunity for war-loving knights eager to make a name for themselves.

The entire Bauhinia Castle was already in a frenzy, with knights viewing joining Su Li’s team as the most reliable way to break through their tiers, acquire Vibranium Rune Armor, or obtain stronger mounts.

When Stern came out from Count Suna’s study, bringing his warhorse, armor, and two servants to report to Su Li’s residence, a long line had already formed in the corridor outside the room; at least dozens of people were waiting for the review to join Young Master Suli’s team.

William was proudly sitting behind a desk, reviewing one applicant after another.

Armed attendants wishing to join Young Master Suli’s team? Turn left outside and get in line; currently, only Apprentice Knights and above who have awakened professionally can directly obtain interview qualifications. Only formal knights can join without a test and get the chance to meet Young Master Suli.

Of course, at this moment, Su Li was unaware of all this; he paid no attention to his subordinates’ arrangements. He was wholeheartedly focused on helping Hilude with her training until late at night, when he finally went to sleep in a good mood.

It wasn’t until the sun was high that he woke up comfortably, reaching out to embrace soft warmth.

Then, his hand habitually moved to where a man should place it, browsing through today’s prophet information.

[Your strong inclination to lie flat has gained a timeline enhancement; you can obtain the ability of the ”Prophet of Destiny” while lying flat.]

[Due to you being in a prone position, today’s prophet’s message is updated.]

[1: At Moonlight Lake, 300 miles downstream of Thorny River Valley, moonlight will condense at midnight today, briefly revealing a Water Elf. Defeating the Water Elf will drop a Water Elemental Heart, which greatly increases the probability of awakening the Water Bloodline.]

[2: In three days, the Mist Forest northeast of Bauhinia Town will be affected by the tidal winds of the Fiery Sun Goddess, lowering the mist to its minimum level, greatly reducing exploration risks within the Mist Forest for five days.]

[3: Within Celestial Mountain upstream of Thorny River Valley, an Ogre Tribe will invade and establish a camp in a cave tomorrow.]

[4: A rare explosion of Glowing Mushrooms will occur in the Dark Cave southeast of Bauhinia Town tomorrow night, which is crucial for making Night Vision Potions.]

[5: ...]

[6: ...]

[9: At the source of Thorny River Valley, a minor earthquake will occur this evening. After the earthquake, a Healing Hot Spring will briefly gush forth, with the spring water having significant effects on healing sword and knife wounds.]

[10: Knight Commander Stein, a High Tier Elite Knight of the Red Night Knight Order’s third squadron, is troubled by his strength limit. If you can help him break through, you will gain his immense favor, and it’s not difficult at all. The Knight Commander simply needs a breakthrough opportunity during intense combat after becoming too comfortable.]

”Ah~” Hilude cried out in pain, gently biting her cherry lips, and turned to look at Su Li, gazing at his eyes in confusion: ”Young Master Suli, what’s wrong with you? You suddenly seem very nervous.”

Only then did Su Li realize he might have accidentally hurt Hilude.

He quickly helped Hilude rub it, but his excited emotion was still hard to suppress. He couldn’t help but hold onto Hilude’s fair shoulders with both hands, staring into her eyes, and excitedly asked: ”Hilude, let me confirm again, after a High Tier Elite Knight breaks through, they become... a Champion Knight, right!?”

Hilude didn’t understand and could only patiently respond: ”That’s right, Young Master Suli, that’s a well-known fact within the Empire. But Champion Knights are extremely rare and are regarded highly in any territory or by any noble, often holding the position of Knight Commander or Military Commander. I’ve never seen a Champion Knight in my life.”

Su Li excitedly threw off the covers, leaping up from the bed: ”Then Hilude, you might see one today! Put on your armor immediately, summon everyone, and follow me!”

Upon hearing this, Hilude’s eyes widened. She was actually very smart; otherwise, she wouldn’t have such high training talent nor trust Su Li unconditionally.

She had talked with Reve, and there were no Champion level knights in Bauhinia Castle yet. If she were to see a Champion Knight today, it could only be because someone had broken through.

Combining it with Young Master Suli’s words, she covered her mouth with her hand, hardly daring to believe it. Could it be... that a Champion Knight is about to join Young Master Suli’s team?!

She didn’t dare to delay, immediately got up to help Su Li freshen up, and then Su Li impatiently pushed open the door and headed out.

When William saw Su Li, he proudly said: ”Young Master Suli, from last night until this morning, 12 Apprentice Knights and 3 formal knights have applied to join your team and head to the Border Prince’s Territory. Would you like to evaluate their qualifications and select a group of followers?”

Su Li decisively replied: ”Tell them it’s not that easy to join our team. We need to assess both their strength and sincerity! Today is the day for them to prove their firm determination. Whoever can invite an Elite Knight to fight for me can join our team.”

”Ah?” Sophie, Frederick, Schwartz, and others who were called in all gaped in shock, and Sophie anxiously said, ”Young Master Suli, these people are all awakened professionals, the main force in any army and adventurer group. Should we reject them at the door?”

Su Li calmly said: ”This is the quickest way to filter out a group of elites and weed out those with weak resolve and cunning intentions.”

On the other hand, those able to summon Elite Knights are certainly born of prestigious knight families, receiving more complete and formal education from an early age, increasing their future breakthrough chances and ensuring resources invested in them by Su Li aren’t wasted.

Su Li then flashed a confident smile: ”Soon, Sophie, you’ll realize how precious the spots to join our team are! Joining our team is their greatest opportunity.”
