Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Su Li’s Triple Win

Take away the stolen goods?

Su Li smiled and said, ”No, we won’t take them away, on the contrary, we want to return them to their owner. Knight Frederick, are you interested in going to the tavern with me?”

Not taking away so much Vibranium?

If it was a few minutes ago, Frederick would have been furious and wondered if Su Li’s head had been kicked by a donkey.

But after the current intense shock, he no longer doubts any of Su Li’s decisions.

At this moment, Frederick had a strong feeling that his wisdom compared to Su Li’s insight and foresight was simply as ignorant as a foolish farmer.

Young Master Suli can always see through everything, with great foresight, and following all of Young Master Suli’s decisions is the wisest choice.

Frederick immediately bowed and said, ”Your will, Young Master Suli. I will escort you to the tavern in Kumu Village.”

Kumu Village is a small village under Bauhinia Town, with about a hundred households, roughly 500 people, and it is the fief of Kingdom Knight Richard Earl.

The so-called small tavern here is just a room filled with wine barrels covered with hay.

It is currently daytime, and the village’s serfs and farmers are being driven by the Knight Lord with a whip to work in the manor and fields, and the tavern has a sign saying it’s closed.

Two steeds galloped rapidly to the front of the tavern, causing a silhouette inside to nervously watch from the window for a while.

Then someone, holding a dagger in reverse, hid behind the door and asked, ”Who are you? What is your purpose here?”

Frederick, not wanting to waste words with him, jumped off the horse and placed his hands on the rough half-door of the tavern, pushing it hard, sending the person behind the door flying.

This caused the people inside to become tense, and immediately four or five brawny men wielding warhammers, axes, and short crossbows surged in from all directions.

Frederick looked at everyone with contempt, the powerful aura of an Elite Knight intimidating them into not daring to act rashly: ”We are here to find Knight Felix!”

After saying this, he pushed open the door and turned around to Su Li respectfully, saying, ”Young Master Suli, please come in. Their behavior is quite unusual, we may need to be a bit careful.”

Su Li ignored the sharp weapons of the wrongdoers and calmly sat down at a table. Across from him was a young man with a sinister face, and Su Li said to him indifferently, ”Knight Frederick, no need to worry. I believe no one would dare to lay a hand on someone from the Bauhinia Clan within the realm of Bauhinia Castle and get away with it. Don’t you agree, Knight Felix?”

The young man opposite slowly raised his head, staring at Su Li with blood-red eyes, and asked, ”Young Master Suli, what brings you here?”

He looked quite handsome, but his poor mental state made him pale and withered, making him look more like the legendary vampire than the tomb raiders.

Su Li calmly said, ”I came to claim the 30 Gold Coins bounty offered by the Belarde Commerce Association. I found the pottery stolen by the Thieves’ Guild.”

Knight Felix immediately perked up, a flush rapidly spreading across his pale face, making him look even more sickly: ”Where is it? Take me to retrieve it, and I will immediately fulfill our bounty.”

”No rush.” Su Li sat motionless in the chair, drumming his fingers on the table with his index and middle fingers as if playing a joyous symphony: ”But there are some strange things inside. Would Knight Felix happen to know what they are?”

Felix immediately clenched his hands tightly, and at this moment, he was like a desperate fugitive, body tense, glaring fiercely at Su Li: ”What are you saying? Our goods are clean, there can’t be anything strange.”

”Oh? Then, in that case, if the items are different, it means that this batch of stolen goods is not yours. I will hand them over to the City Defense Team, and I believe they will be very interested in all of this. I suppose the Belarde Commerce Association offered a 30 Gold Coin bounty not for smuggling illegal items, such as Vibranium.”

Hearing the word Vibranium, Knight Felix’s momentum finally dissipated, and it was clear that Su Li indeed had control of this batch of goods.

The other men in the room also gripped their weapons tightly, sweat pouring from their foreheads and backs. If this news got out, their Belarde Commerce Association would be hunted by the entire Bauhinia Earl Terrritory. That’s why they set the location for this reward transaction in such a secluded village tavern. Secrecy is paramount!

Knight Felix’s complexion was changing unpredictably, sometimes biting his lips tightly, gripping the sword hilt secretly, and other times turning pale with a look of despair.

The opponent had an Elite Knight as a guard. As a formal knight, with a few common strong men, he couldn’t possibly threaten Su Li.

He pondered for a long time before being forced to lower his head, ”Young Master Suli, you are right. Thanks to your reminder, I recalled that our pottery did indeed contain some goods. Perhaps we can find a solution that satisfies both parties.”

Su Li then slightly raised the corners of his mouth, leaned back, raised an eyebrow, and calmly looked at the other party.

When you discover a problem with the other party but haven’t figured out how to extort them, these steps are a perfect solution.

1. Cross your arms over your chest.

2. Lean back strategically, put on a poker face.

3. Ask: How do you plan to handle this?

4. Slightly frown while listening to the other party’s response.

Felix, indeed suppressed by Su Li’s aura, spoke a bit nervously, ”If you can return our pottery clean and without anything strange, helping us avoid trouble with the City Guard Army, besides the 30 Gold Coins bounty, we will also sponsor your expansion in the Border Prince’s Territory on behalf of the Commerce Association. You are about to build an army and set out, and I imagine funding and military supplies are urgently needed.”

”We will sponsor you with 200 Gold Coins, 5 sets of fine steel full-body heavy armor, 10 sets of half-body chain armor, and 30 sets of leather armor.”

”Deal!” Su Li smiled, stood up, and extended his right hand to Felix: ”This is a win-win-win situation, isn’t it?”

What is a win-win-win?

It certainly means Su Li won three times!

He took away the Vibranium, gold coins, and other spoils from the ancient tomb, won the bounty from Knight Felix, and finally gained 200 Gold Coins and 5 sets of fine steel full-body heavy armor from the Belarde Commerce Association!

Such heavy fine steel armor is usually owned by only one Kingdom Knight family, passed on to the eldest son after the old Kingdom Knight passes away. The other sons might go on an adventure with a set of chain armor if they are lucky, or just leather armor with a few pieces of iron inlaid, hardly different from a thief. Of course, this type of Kingdom Knight refers to families with only one village or even half a village as their fief.

And Knight Frederick witnessed all of this, in awe as Young Master Suli achieved a win-win-win just by sitting on a chair!

Fortunately, he did not impulsively question Young Master Suli this time; otherwise, he would have missed out on 230 Gold Coins and a significant amount of armor!
