Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 788: The Soul World, With Something Extra

The experiment continued, summoning spells were Lin Moyu’s specialty, so he wanted to know the full strength of each undead troop type in detail.

Testing the skeletal warriors, skeletal mages, and soul archers was quickly completed.

Each had their own characteristics.

Along with the death knights, they formed a well-structured army.

Next was the lich commander’s turn.

The lich commander was once the supreme commander of the undead army. Most of the time, whatever command Lin Moyu gave would first be passed to the lich commander, who would then coordinate and direct the entire army.

At the same time, the lich commander could also provide various enhancements and healing.

After countless battles, without the lich commander, the undead army would have been annihilated countless times.

The lich commander’s existence greatly improved the undead army’s survivability, as well as Lin Moyu’s own survivability.

One could say, as long as the undead army wasn’t destroyed in one strike, it would be extremely difficult to truly destroy them. As long as the undead army didn’t collapse, Lin Moyu would be fine.

Antares’ evaluation was: Unless a true god took action personally, trying to kill this guy would be even harder than comprehending the laws of time. There may have been some exaggeration, but it did illustrate how powerful Lin Moyu’s survival ability was.

The lich commander used to have no combat power at all. Aside from extremely high defense and vitality, it had no other strengths.

But after transforming into a spell, the lich commander changed, gaining combat power on top of its original foundation.

[Lich Commander]

[Level: 97]

[Spells: Extreme Enhancement, Extreme Healing, Lich Whispers]

[Extreme Enhancement: Wield the force of laws to indiscriminately enhance all undead army members, increasing attack power by %.]

[Extreme Healing: Wield the force of laws to heal all undead army members, instantly restoring immense vitality.]

[Lich Whispers: Wield the force of laws to deal double damage to the target’s body and soul.]

[Principle: Undying Principle (Death), Undying Principle (Life)]

Similarly, there were no attributes, but the lich commander gained more spells.

Extreme Enhancement and Extreme Healing were the same as the previous Army Enhancement and Army Healing skills.

Now transformed into spells infused with the force of laws, they became even more powerful.

These two support skills used the life aspect of the undying principle.

At the same time, the lich commander also gained the Lich Whispers spell, using the death aspect of the undying principle to attack the target’s body and soul simultaneously.

After testing, the lich commander’s physical damage was slightly weaker than the skeletal warriors and skeletal mages, and much weaker than the death knights.

Its soul attacks were also inferior to the soul archers.

But the combined physical and soul damage exceeded any single undead troop.

The lich commander also had the most crucial trait – commanding the undead army.

Lin Moyu’s orders could be passed through them, without needing to relay to each individual undead.

Each lich commander could control 100,000 undead troops.

So even with a million undead troops, Lin Moyu’s orders only needed to be relayed to ten lich commanders.

The difficulty of controlling the undead army was greatly reduced.

Finally, it was time to test the skeletal dragons.

[Skeletal Dragon]

[Level: 97]

[Spell: Lethal Dragon Breath]

[Lethal Dragon Breath: Wield the force of laws to breathe dragon’s breath, dealing devastating continuous damage to targets in the area.]

[Principle: Undying Principle (Death)]

The skeletal dragons soared and weaved through the gray mist, their bodies burning with silver-white flames. The flames carried a hint of gray, exuding the aura of the undying principle.

During this testing period, the spell linkage continued, to the point where even Lin Moyu didn’t know how many undead he had summoned.

In any case, the land and sky were filled with them, stretching as far as the eye could see.

Antares had already given up caring, letting Lin Moyu do as he pleased.

The skeletal dragon’s testing was quickly completed.

In terms of damage output, the skeletal dragon was the strongest of all Lin Moyu’s summons.

It had already reached the peak level 98 realm.

Just a bit more and it could enter the half-step supreme level 99 realm.

Currently, the skeletal dragon alone was not an opponent for half-step supreme experts in single combat.

But when had Lin Moyu ever fought alone?

Looking at the dense swarm of skeletal dragons in the sky, Antares silently mourned for three seconds for Lin Moyu’s future enemies.

“Alright, let’s test the undead army’s full strength.”

Previous tests were only based on talent enhancements, not the undead army’s true peak state.

Lin Moyu didn’t bother calculating the total number of undead for now, only commanding the lich commanders to enhance the nearby undead.

All elemental liches also appeared.

Although there were only three spell-level liches, no matter what, they were summoned first.

From this moment on, the undead army reached its full power.

Antares became the target again. After a round of testing, Antares was certain the undead army now possessed the ability to directly confront supreme-level experts.

Antares looked at Lin Moyu like a monster. “Your true combat power can already match supreme-level experts, yet you’re only level 88. You really are a monster.”

Lin Moyu shook his head. “It’s not done yet.”

“Not done yet?” Antares was startled.

“Watch.” Lin Moyu began his outrageous operations.

When a death knight and skeletal dragon fused, three types of skeletons merged together.

Two brand new undead troop types appeared before Antares’ eyes.

Antares recalled Lin Moyu had used this skill before, but the effect was average so he abandoned it.

Now that everything had transformed into spells, he could truly try it out.

[Death Dragon Knight]

[Level: 98]

[Spells: Lethal Dragon Breath, Death Charge]

[Lethal Dragon Breath: Wield the force of laws to breathe dragon’s breath, dealing devastating continuous damage to targets in the area.]

[Death Charge: Charge at 50,000 meters per second, using the force of laws as a spearhead to deal immense damage to the target.]

[Principle: Undying Principle (Death)]

After testing, the death dragon knight formed from fusing a death knight and skeletal dragon, with full enhancements, had nearly reached the half-step supreme pinnacle.

Against existences like the Dragon Emperor or Demon Emperor, without using supreme-level weapons, at most they could only fight evenly against a dozen or so death dragon knights.

But how many death dragon knights were there?

Lin Moyu still hadn’t counted.

Finally, Lin Moyu’s gaze fell upon the skeletal overlord.

Back during the skill demonstration, that final skeletal overlord that appeared left a deep impression on Lin Moyu.

Three types of skeletons, 100 of each type, combined to form a giant skeleton over ten meters tall.

In physical form it was inferior to the Skeletal King, but in terms of aura, the Skeletal King couldn’t even compare.

[Skeletal Overlord]

[Level: 99]

[Spell: Annihilation]

[Annihilation: Wield the force of laws to deal an annihilating strike to the target.]

[Principle: Undying Principle (Death)]

Whether in level or destructive power, the skeletal overlord surpassed the death dragon knight, truly reaching the half-step supreme pinnacle.

It was fully capable of fighting the Dragon Emperor or Demon Emperor one-on-one, currently Lin Moyu’s strongest summon.

Lin Moyu thought of the Skeletal King. If the [Summon Skeletal King] could also form a spell sun and join to create a nine-star spell system, perhaps the Skeletal King would be enhanced again.

Lin Moyu glanced at the spell planet representing [Summon Skeletal King], and suddenly let out an exclamation.

The soul world had gained something extra.
