Chapter 757: I Also Fear It Will Bite Back

Lin Moyu did not stop the Dragon Emperor. When the Dragon Emperor spoke earlier, Antares responded after a few seconds. During those seconds, Antares was consulting with Lin Moyu. This decision was not made by Antares alone.

For the human race, the Dragon Emperor was undoubtedly the greatest enemy. However, as the Dragon Emperor, he rarely had the opportunity to act personally. When the dragons first descended, they posed a significant threat to the human race. Their strength not only far surpassed that of humans but also exceeded that of the Abyssal Demons.

The dragons attacked the human world several times, massacring humans and causing rivers of blood. Millions of humans died under the dragons’ blades. Later, under the leadership of Demon Emperor Lilian, the Abyssal Demons and humans formed a silent cooperation. Humans did their best to stop the dragons in the Yuan Battlefield, while the Abyssal Demons invaded the dragon world.

Although the dragons were powerful, they could not withstand the combined forces of the two races. The dragons were stunned and lost all their time-space channels to the Yuan Battlefield. In the following millennium, the hatred between the dragons and humans was not as deep, with only small-scale skirmishes in the Eternal Battlefield. The Dragon Emperor, during this period, rarely took action.

Although he was not like Lilian, who had never killed a human, he did not kill many either. Lin Moyu understood this, so when Antares consulted him, he respected Antares’ decision. Antares’ voice slowly sounded, “Making use of waste might bring some surprises.”

In deep space, many areas are extremely dangerous. Even a half-step super god like the Dragon Emperor would face a high risk of death. Especially the place where Antares wanted him to go, it was even more so. Antares knew that there was a high chance the Dragon Emperor would not return.

Lin Moyu said, “If he really wants to escape, I can’t kill him either. And I also fear he will bite back, so this result is very good.” Lin Moyu indeed had such concerns. If the Dragon Emperor wanted to escape, with his current ability, he really couldn’t stop him. If the Dragon Emperor hid, things would become troublesome. Without the burden of the dragon race, the Dragon Emperor could easily enter the Yuan Battlefield and kill human professionals. If that happened, the human race’s situation in the Yuan Battlefield would become extremely dangerous.

Currently, no one in the entire human race, except himself, could contend with the Dragon Emperor. Moreover, Antares could not stop the Dragon Emperor’s actions in the Yuan Battlefield. Antares had his own principles and some unknown restrictions. His principle was to protect the human world, and the Yuan Battlefield was not within his protection. At that time, Lin Moyu would also have a headache. So the current result was actually the best result.

Lin Moyu chuckled, “This guy is too stupid, every choice he makes is wrong.” Antares sneered, “A mixed-blood dragon, how smart can he be?”

In the imperial city, the remaining dragons saw their emperor leave and completely abandoned them. The entire Dragon Emperor fell into despair and lost all hope. Who would have thought that after a thousand years of silence and recuperation, this would be the result? All because a human named Lin Moyu appeared. In the eyes of the dragons, Lin Moyu was a devil, a terrifying devil from the depths of hell. A person who slaughtered millions of dragons without blinking an eye, what else could he be but a devil?

“You are a devil! The dragon race will not let you go!” Three high-level dragon kings roared and charged out of the imperial city, heading straight for Lin Moyu. They were making their last stand. Lin Moyu ignored them, lightly pointing his finger, and the God-Slaying Thunder struck. To kill high-level dragon kings, the God-Slaying Thunder was still the best choice.

The three high-level dragon kings, the strongest forces in the dragon race besides the Dragon Emperor, were all elemental law users. After shattering their bone armor, they couldn’t harm Lin Moyu. The three-star spell’s linkage mechanism was triggered again, and bone prisons appeared on the three dragon kings, followed by bone fangs. The three-star spell could be automatically triggered without Lin Moyu’s active use, making it very convenient.

The three high-level dragon kings were momentarily immobilized by the bone prisons, unable to move. Their bodies were covered in white bones, forming restraints and causing paralysis. They struggled, but the bone prisons were not strong, only able to hold them for one or two seconds. Bone fangs exploded on their bodies, breaking their scales and causing blood to flow, making them look very miserable. The bone fangs couldn’t severely injure them, only causing some superficial wounds. The spell’s power was still limited by Lin Moyu’s own level and soul strength.

Amidst the thunderous roar, the God-Slaying Thunder struck again. Three consecutive God-Slaying Thunders exploded in the air, turning into a sea of thunder and engulfing the three high-level dragon kings. There was no suspense; under the powerful attack of the purple God-Slaying Thunder, the three high-level dragon kings were turned into charred corpses and fell from the sky. The dragons in the imperial city fell into complete despair. Some dragons used teleportation tools to escape, while more dragons fled in all directions. Millions of dragons were utterly defeated at this moment.

The number of dragons was too large. With 300,000 undead troops and 1,300 bone dragons, Lin Moyu couldn’t kill them all. The three major auras of the elemental lich played a huge role. Many dragons died under the law auras. After this battle, the dragon race was completely defeated and no longer a threat. The collapse of the dragon race, coupled with Lilian’s cooperation, solidified the human race’s position. The remaining matters could be handled step by step, with no unexpected events likely to occur.

The slaughter continued, and the Eye of the Undead swept across the entire imperial city. The city was filled with mountains of corpses, a sight beyond imagination. Lin Moyu released countless flames, which exploded like fireworks in the air and fell on the corpses. The corpses were reborn in the flames, becoming resurrected beings. Their combat power was even stronger than when they were alive. The resurrected dragon beings followed Lin Moyu’s orders and turned their blades against their own kind. This scene made the remaining dragons even more desperate.

Lin Moyu continuously cast spells, increasing the number of resurrected beings. The more the dragons fought, the fewer they became, while Lin Moyu’s side grew stronger. White light rose from his body again, and Lin Moyu leveled up again, reaching level 85. In just one day, he leveled up twice, his soul power increasing crazily and overflowing. At level 85, the leveling speed suddenly slowed down. The required experience and soul power increased significantly, slowing down the leveling speed by several times.

Every five levels, the leveling speed would decrease significantly. But level 85 seemed unusual, slowing down by at least four times. Lin Moyu felt that his soul suddenly became twice as strong when he reached level 85. A stronger soul naturally required more soul power, slowing down the leveling speed. “They say it’s hard to level up from 85 to 86, requiring a lot of time. Now I understand.” After careful consideration, Lin Moyu finally understood why level 85 was a threshold, causing many people to be stuck at this level for a long time. The increased requirements made it natural for the leveling speed to slow down if the acquisition speed remained the same. However, the gap at this level was quite large, making it hard to accept for a while. It could even make people lose hope and motivation to move forward. It was a test, big or small.
