Chapter 783: Offensive and Defensive Aspects of the Undying Principle

As the level of the technique increased, the degree of enhancement from each level-up also grew larger – this was common knowledge.

Lin Moyu regained that feeling of being in full control.

Looking at the last four technique star cores in the technique space, Lin Moyu felt he could clear them all out this time.

His soul power formed a huge palm and swiftly grasped one of the cores, giving it a light tug.

He clearly felt the binding force, but the technique space’s binding force now only acted on the four technique star cores, much greater than before.

But faced with Lin Moyu’s robber-like soul palm, the binding force was still unable to take effect and was directly broken.

Lin Moyu very easily took a technique star core away, not even leaving the technique space a parting glance. If the technique space had intelligence, it would definitely curse Lin Moyu from head to toe.

Seeing the technique star core enter the soul world, the happiest was Antares, already rubbing his palms in anticipation.

Lin Moyu said, “These two years, I’ve gained some insights into the undying principle. Although I can’t freely wield it yet, I can already manifest some of its undying characteristics in my spells.”

“When you take action later, I’ll give it a try.”

Antares readily agreed, “No problem, go ahead and try!”

A vast amount of soul power poured into the technique star core, rapidly lighting it up to radiate brilliant light.

When the soul power was exhausted, flames had already appeared on the technique star core.

It was showing a tendency to evolve into a sun.

“Go ahead!”

Lin Moyu said to Antares, while encasing himself in a skeletal armor.

The skeletal armor released a dazzling white light, not an ordinary white, but an extremely pale one.

Looking at it would make one’s heart skip a beat, and within the paleness was a hint of greyish vapor.

That was the manifestation of the principle.

Antares said, “Your principle gives me a sense of death.”

Lin Moyu said, “The two sides of the undying principle – this is the death aspect.”

The skeletal type represented death, while the summoning type represented life. Only when combined did they form the complete undying principle.

Antares slapped down, “Then let me try it out!”

Antares used true god-level power and even employed soul tracking.

Based on past experience, it would only take two strikes to activate Lin Moyu’s full rebirth talent.

Even if Lin Moyu used the skeletal armor, the result would not change.

After all, the defensive limit of the skeletal armor was determined by one’s soul level.

With Lin Moyu’s level 94 soul, even if the skeletal armor was enhanced by the four-star spell system, its defense would not exceed level 96.

The base was too weak, so even with a multiple increase, it would not become too outrageous.

No matter how high it went, it would still be useless against true god-level attacks.

Just as Antares and Lin Moyu expected, the skeletal armor almost instantly shattered upon contact.

As the skeletal armor collapsed, the four-star spell system simultaneously linked up.

Skeletal Prison’s white bones suddenly appeared on Antares’ body, followed by Skeletal Fangs and Skeletal Spear erupting.

White light exploded, emitting the sound of clashing metal.

The skeletal armor reappeared on Lin Moyu’s body, only to shatter again under Antares’ attack.

Skeletal Prison, Skeletal Fangs, Skeletal Spear appeared on Antares again.

The four-star spell system looped endlessly, never stopping.

In the instant between Antares’ attack touching the skeletal armor and finally landing on Lin Moyu, less than 0.01 seconds, the skeletal armor was triggered three times.

The four-star spell system was triggered three times.

By the time the attack landed on Lin Moyu, the attack power had unexpectedly weakened significantly.

The Undead Legion should have collapsed three times, but this time it only collapsed twice.

“The attack power decreased by one-third…”

“My attack was negated by one-third due to your principle.”

“This is impossible!”

Antares’ face clearly showed the words “I don’t believe it.”

For a true god-level attack to actually be weakened by a full one-third.

Lin Moyu’s grasp of the principle was not complete, and the aura of the principle in his spells was not strong – Antares could clearly sense it.

But even so, it could reduce a true god-level attack by one-third.

Lin Moyu explained, “According to my comprehension of the undying principle, the aspect representing death can cause all things to fall into stillness. These ’all things’ can be physical or abstract.”

“Whether people, objects, your attacks, principles, or anything else, they can all be affected by the principle and fall into stillness.”

Antares let out a strange cry, “All things can fall into stillness due to the principle of death? How can there be such a terrifying principle?”

Lin Moyu said, “Look at the place you were attacked.”

“What’s there to look at? Such a small attack can’t hurt me.” Antares was completely unconcerned.

As if such a small attack could injure it.

“Take a look.”

Under Lin Moyu’s insistence, Antares finally went to check.

Its body was too huge, and the previous attack didn’t even cover one of its dragon scales.

Immediately after, Antares let out a strange cry, and Lin Moyu heard the sound of a dragon scale falling to the ground.

Mist swirled, and a huge dragon scale flew out.

This had fallen off Antares’ body, and the entire dragon scale seemed to be decaying, losing its luster.

The vitality of the dragon scale had been wiped out.

In other words, this dragon scale had died.

It was simply unbelievable that a dragon scale growing on Antares’ body could die.

The death aspect of the undying principle…

It could extinguish the vitality of all things… this was truly somewhat terrifying.

Even Antares was startled, “No wonder I didn’t feel anything – this dragon scale had already died.”

“Brat, your principle combines offense and defense, extremely powerful. You don’t need to use other principles to carry your spells – thoroughly researching the principle within your own spells will be enough for you to use.”

Antares solemnly advised.

Its meaning was for Lin Moyu not to seek breadth over depth, as being a master of one is better than being a jack of all trades.

Lin Moyu said, “I will continue to comprehend the undying principle, as well as the principle of time. When I have time in the future, I will also comprehend it.”

He couldn’t let the principles of the first echelon slip by.

In the soul world, this technique star core burned brilliantly, already transformed into a ball of fire.

The spell sun was about to form.

Antares stared unblinkingly at the fireball once more.

It had four more chances to observe the black dot. In the future, who knows when the next opportunity would come – it might be ages before it could see it again.

Antares was fully focused, not daring to be the slightest bit distracted.

Boom!

Amidst a powerful explosion, the spell sun rose from the flames.

At the same time, a wondrous feeling spread through Lin Moyu’s entire body.

“It’s Status Immunity!”

“The last passive skill.”

Only when a passive skill became a spell sun would Lin Moyu experience this feeling.

Passive skills were always active, perpetually existing and effective.

After being converted into a spell, this was even more so – it would exist within the soul itself.

[Status Immunity (Fusion Degree 100%): The master and their summons are immune to all negative statuses, including spells, formations, domains, curses, and negative principles.]

It didn’t seem to have changed much, but as the spell’s master, Lin Moyu knew the change was huge.

Previously, immunity to negative statuses basically only meant immunity to curse-type skills, not including formations or domains.

Naturally, it also could not include principle-type curses.

But this time was different. After being transformed into a sun-level spell, not only did it grant immunity to negative statuses caused by formations and domains, but it could even grant immunity to principle-type curses.

While feeling joyful, Lin Moyu also knew that spells were not omnipotent.

Like the formation used by the Dragon Emperor, it did not cause any negative statuses, but rather used the formation to compress the air, creating an effect similar to binding.

This could not be immunized against.

Spells were powerful but not omnipotent, so one could not be careless.

Lin Moyu glanced at the brilliantly burning spell sun, then charged back into the technique space.
