Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

Shanghai Tianhai, in Shiroishi Kazuma’s secret apartment.

“Mr. Shiroishi Kazuma, Hong Weiguo has been successfully impeached. The Chamber of Commerce is now launching a full-scale attack on the various departments of his business.” Sun Yuanzhou sat on the sofa and looked at Shiroishi Kazuma, who was drinking tea. He said glumly, “But Hong Weiguo has reorganized Sangle and transferred parts of it to the Mu Family and the Liu Family. We can only attack the 15% under Hong Weiguo’s name which is all garbage…”

“Hong Weiguo is indeed a very clever man. It seems I might have underestimated him.” Shiroishi Kazuma sipped his tea and said, “Hong Weiguo must not be given any chance to make a comeback. I will arrange matters that follow carefully. The Toyoda Conglomerate will not forget to reward you when matters are settled.”

“Since Mr. Shiroishi has spoken, everything is fine.” Sun Yuanzhou got up immediately. “I will wait for Mr. Shiroishi’s good news, then.”

“Okay, please.”

After Sun Yuanzhou left, Shiroishi Kazuma’s eyes glinted before he said sombrely, “It seems that we must step up the process. This time, if Hong Weiguo makes a comeback, all our previous efforts will be completely in vain!”

“That’s right.” Wada Nakamasa, the chief legal adviser of the Toyoda Conglomerate, walked out from the secret door. He nodded and said, “If Hong Weiguo makes a comeback, all our efforts will have been in vain. We have to make a move on Hong Weiguo soon. Once Hong Weiguo dies, chaos is bound to descend upon the Heavenly State. The little prodigal Hong Dali will definitely not leave the matter at that.”

“That’s it.” Shiroishi Kazuma took a shallow breath. “Contact the president, have Hattori Jiro take on this mission personally. Deal with Hong Weiguo!”

Hattori Jiro, the leader of the Iga Ninjas, the special force belonging to the Toyoda Conglomerate! He had the genetic transformation ability of the Zerg Queen Zhang Yi! Shiroishi Kazuma definitely put in a lot of capital to get him to assassinate Hong Weiguo personally!

…

Door to Heaven, top level, large conference room.

“I have informed Shiroishi Kazuma of the news regarding Hong Weiguo. He was secretive and did not mention what he intended to do after this.” Sun Yuanzhou said with a smile, “But, I guess he should be arranging for a killer to assassinate Hong Weiguo.”

“Yes, it’s good if that’s what he is doing.” Wen Jianan nodded and said, “Remember, Hong Weiguo is the center of the whole plan. We can do whatever we like to him and his company, but his safety must never be compromised. Otherwise, the consequences will be dire. There must be no slack in the 24/7 protection. We must ensure the safety of Hong Weiguo, or that will be the end of us all!”

“Understood!” The crowd gave a resounding affirmative. Sun Yuanzhou thought about it and asked, “CEO Wen, do you think our deception will fall through? I don’t feel confident.”

“I don’t know, either. But this is the Bureau Chief’s plan. All we have to do is to follow the plan. If all goes well, it’s now Shiroishi Kazuma’s turn to act.”

…

At the same time, on the East Ocean.

“Ah, bikini-clad beauties, basking in the warm sun, days like this…” On that day, Hong Dali was leisurely cruising around the sea on the great white shark Xiao Bai while randomly admiring his bikini-clad classmates. Suddenly, Tang Muxin, who was next to him, pointed at something in the distance and exclaimed in surprise, “Eh, Dali, look, quickly. There seems to be a freighter headed our way!”

“Eh? Really?” Hong Dali shaded his eyes with his hand and looked. Sure enough, he saw a freighter tens of meters long headed in his direction. He said curiously, “It looks like it’s heading our way. Who could be looking for me?”

The freighter was really fast, and it wasn’t long before it stopped in front of Hong Dali.

On the deck, Gong Zhiwen, the CEO of the New World Jewelry, stood awestruck as he looked at Hong Dali who was seated atop the great white shark. He rubbed his eyes in disbelief. “God, am I mistaken? Young Master Dali is riding a shark?!”

The person next to him, too, was staring with wide-open eyes. He pinched his thigh hard. “CEO Gong, this Young Master Dali has such great abilities?”

“Don’t ask me, I am more surprised than you. This is the first time I’ve heard of people riding sharks…” muttered Gong Zhiwen.

It was no wonder that the two men were so surprised—in fact, anyone would be surprised to see, for the first time, Hong Dali riding a shark…

“Are you looking for me?” Hong Dali shouted in the direction of the freighter. “Is anything the matter?”

“Ah, it’s like this!” He composed himself hurriedly. Even if Hong Dali was riding a dragon, it was not as important as the need to discuss business with him. After all, it was a matter of life and death, and he could not afford to be careless. Gong Zhiwen wiped the cold sweat off his brow and quickly replied loudly, “My name is Gong Zhiwen, the CEO of New World Jewelry. I’m a good friend of CEO Hong. I have come here because I wish to talk to Young Master Dali about working together.”

“Talk about working together? You and me?” Hong Dali looked at the person next to Gong Zhiwen. “Who is he?”

“He is CEO Zhou, a friend of mine who deals in uncut jade.” Gong Zhiwen shouted, “Young Master Dali, can you come up so we can talk about it? I am really sincere. If Young Master Dali doesn’t believe me, I have a document that was signed by CEO Hong.”

“Well…” Hong Dali waved at Gong Zhiwen. “Okay, but I will not go up. How about you come down, Uncle Gong. I will ask Xiao Bai to carry you, then we will be able to talk business!”

“Xiao… Xiao Bai?” Gong Zhiwen looked around but did not see anything that looked like it might be called Xiao Bai.

“Ah, Xiao Bai is the great white shark under my butt. I named him Xiao Bai.” Hong Dali smiled. “Xiao Bai is really obedient, I can guarantee that he does not eat people!”

Damn! You named the great white shark Xiao Bai?! This guy is around twenty meters long? Such a big shark! You’re asking me to jump into the water?!

Gong Zhiwen was so scared his legs were like jelly, but he had no choice. No matter how afraid he was, he had to persevere. The Chamber of Commerce had begun to encircle Hong Weiguo and there was an urgency to things. Since he had already chosen to stand on Hong Weiguo’s side, there was no going back. This time…

“Ah!!!” A heart-rending scream rang out and Gong Zhiwen jumped into the water with a plop…

For his business and the future, he was doing his best!

Five minutes later, Hong Dali smiled as he looked at Gong Zhiwen, who had finally composed himself. He asked, “Uncle Gong, what business do you want to discuss with me? I only know how to squander money, I don’t know how to do business.”

“Ah, that, Young Master Dali, you sure know how to joke.” Gong Zhiwen sweated profusely as he looked at the Great White Shark Xiao Bai’s back. He said carefully, “It’s like this. I heard that Young Master Dali likes stone-gambling, so I have contacted a friend of mine who deals in uncut jade and arranged for a shipment of pretty good quality uncut jade to be shipped over. I would like Young Master Dali to try your luck with them. Of course, I will come out with the capital. If there is any profit, we will split it twenty-eighty after deducting costs. Twenty for me, eighty for you.”

He was a person capable of great things. He managed to show his sincerity with just a few words. Not only that, he managed to give Hong Dali’s ego a little boost. Of course, the most important thing was that Hong Dali had really good luck. If Hong Dali managed to prospect a stone of superb quality, all that had to be done was process the stone a little and he would earn twenty percent of the profit. At that level, even if it were only twenty percent, it would be equivalent to hundreds of millions of income. Most importantly, it was guaranteed that there would be a profit!

If he really managed to get a pipe that was of superior quality like the one Hong Weiguo had, he would become so well known that even billions of yuan would not be a problem!

The more riches a person had, the more he would be afraid of death. If there existed a pipe that could improve a person’s health, people would pay tens of millions, even hundreds of millions for it.

There was another reason he was doing this other than money. If he successfully managed to help Hong Weiguo this time, in the future, what kind of relationship would the two families have? They would be sworn buddies, brothers to the death. As long as Hong Weiguo had it good, he would never go hungry—especially since they had Hong Dali, whose luck defied even the heavens, on their side.

“If that’s the case,” Hong Dali rubbed his chin and thought about it before saying, “Right, please wait for a while, I will ask him. Uncle Gong, I hope you won’t mind.” As he spoke, he took out his smartphone and called Hong Weiguo. The call was soon connected. Hong Dali asked, “Dad, there is an uncle named Gong Zhiwen who claims to be your friend here to discuss business with me. Is he really your friend?”

Hong Dali was thoughtless but not stupid. Although Gong Zhiwen said that he was his father’s friend, he had to confirm the fact for himself.

“Yes, that’s right. He is my ally at the Chamber of Commerce.” Hong Weiguo chuckled and said, “Dali, are you having fun out at sea? Are you happy? What are you doing now?”

“Ah? I’m cruising around on a shark, hehe.” Hong Dali told him the truth.

“What? You can even ride a shark?!” Hong Weiguo was shocked. “Brat, be careful—If there is a suitable opportunity, I will bring my friends there for a look. Can sharks really be ridden?”

“Of course. Uncle Gong is sitting on the Great White Shark Xiao Bai’s back now.” Hong Dali laughed happily.

“Little brat, your games are getting more and more extreme.” Hong Weiguo’s voice was kindly. “Don’t stay up too late. Rest earlier if you feel tired. The winds are strong at sea, remember to close the door properly and get under the covers. Don’t catch a cold.”

It was just a few simple words, but even a fool could hear his love for Hong Dali.

“Yes, okay.” Hong Dali asked, “Oh yes, Dad, how are things over there recently?”

“Over here…” Hong Weiguo hesitated before he chuckled and replied, “Everything is fine. Your mother and I will go out shopping when we are bored. You don’t have to worry about us. Hehe.”

Hong Dali felt a little emotional when he heard that the two of them were well. It was his greatest dream to have a family who would be concerned about him in his previous life. Hong Dali nodded vehemently. “Yes, I know. Dad, you should rest more too. When I get to Tianhai, you and mum can come to visit me on the boat. It’s really pretty now. I had a lot of fun things built. Hehe.”

“Little brat, you are only good at spending money.” Hong Weiguo laughed and said, “Alright, I will get back to whatever I was doing. You go chat with your Uncle Gong.”

“Yes, okay. I know.”

After he hung up, Hong Weiguo took a deep breath. He shook his head and said, laughing, “This little brat is riding sharks now, sigh…”

Beside him, Lan Ruoxi said, shocked, “What? Dear? Our little brat can even ride sharks?”

“The little brat can ride anything.” Hong Weiguo scolded as he laughed. “If the little brat could just quickly ride a woman. Then, I can have a grandchild sooner…”

Lan Rouxi said encouragingly, “Definitely, definitely. In the future, our little prodigal will definitely get the chance to do that!”
