Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

The aviation carrier, referred to as “carrier” and “craft carrier,” was a large surface ship with carrier-based aircraft as its main combat weapon.

The hull usually had a huge flight deck on top and an island located either on the left or right side. The aircraft carrier was usually the core ship of a fleet. Other ships in the fleet provided protection and supply, while the aircraft carrier provided air cover and long-range strike capability.

In the present day, aircraft carriers were an indispensable weapon of the modern navy and one of the most important ships in naval warfare. By relying on aviation carriers, a country could exert military pressure and conduct operations without relying on local airports in places far from its homeland.

Therefore, aviation carriers were an indispensable weapon for the modern navy and also a symbol of a country’s overall power.

Originally, Hong Dali bought two aircraft carriers. If he transformed them well, they could become powerful weapons. At the very least, they could be used to scare the countries thinking of trying something funny. However, Hong Dali actually said that he wanted to transform one of them into a man-made island for recreation!

A man-made island pretending to be a resort on the sea?

That was an aircraft carrier. Three hundred over meters long and a hundred over meters wide. That was more than thirty thousand square meters! If it were made into a man-made island and sailed leisurely all over, countries not in the know might think it was an unexplored piece of land that belonged to them. That could start a world war…

Think about it. Fishermen fishing on the seas, surrounded by peaceful waters. Then suddenly, an island appears from nowhere. If it happened in the night, it could very well scare someone to death!

The Angel of Misfortune was watching with eyes wide and mouth agape from the side. Hong Dali was really as innovative as the stories of him had described.

“Brat, make this into an island and people will accuse you of stealing their land!” The Bureau Chief was so infuriated that he was stomping his feet. “Anyway, this is such a big carrier. How much soil will you need to heap on it?! How much will it cost for the materials and manpower to refurbish it? You still have to plant vegetation on it. And coconut trees!”

He originally thought that Hong Dali might act if he got his hands on the carrier. If he perhaps developed some new technology, they would be rich! Hong Dali was definitely not incapable of coming up with some impossible mysterious new technology!

Instead, all he said was that he wanted a man-made island, the reason being he wanted the sun, the beaches, and the coconut trees…

“It’s just spending a little money, no big deal, no big deal. Hehe.” Hong Dali totally had no idea how much he was squandering by doing this. Instead, he felt very satisfied. “Yes, this Big Fish shall be a man-made island. In the future, we can come here to cool down in the summer!”

Tang Muxin gave a small sigh. This matter should be considered settled now.

Big Fish was settled, what was left was Second Fish. Hong Dali stroked his chin and looked at the mechanical arm Running Dog on Lin Chuyin’s lap. He suddenly smiled and said, “Ah, Second Fish will depend on Running Dog. Running Dog, refurbish Second Fish into a purely Sci-fi themed carrier. Can you do that?”

The mechanical arm Running Dog jumped off Lin Chuyin’s lap and replied, “I need blueprints, Young Master. Running Dog can do anything for you if I have detailed blueprints.”

Yes, this Mechanical arm was reliable. Of course, the unreliable part was that Running Dog could not come up with his own designs. It could only follow Hong Dali’s instructions.

“That will do.” Hong Dali chuckled and nodded. “Chuyin and I will come up with some blueprints together later! Right, by the way, Running Dog, I feel one of you is not enough. Shall we replicate a few more?”

“All right, Sir.” Running Dog immediately agreed. “That’s no problem—however, I will need to install another arm. One arm is not enough. It’s hard to hold things steadily with one.”

“Approved.” Hong Dali snapped his fingers and said decisively, “That’s settled, then. Wahahaha! Good friends, let’s get ready to set off! Anyone has anything they forgot? If there’s nothing, when my Chuyin’s laboratory has arrived, we will set off!”

“All right.” The sci-fi themed carrier made the Bureau Chief feel more at ease. “Little rascal, you can look for me directly if you need any building materials.”

“Oh, that would not be proper…” Hong Dali decisively shook his head. “I want to splurge! I want to squander! It would be meaningless if I were to just take it. I will just pay for it. Well, perhaps give me a hundred tons of steel plate first. I can use that when I refurbish them. I also want welding rods, steel pipe manufacturing equipment, and as many integrated circuit chips as you have. I’ll buy more if it’s not enough!”

One hundred tons of steel plate! Welding rod! Steel pipe manufacturing equipment! Integrated circuit chips!

It seemed like this little rascal was really planning to develop some technology! The Bureau Chief was all smiles. “No problem! Absolutely no problem! I will provide you with as much as I have! If it’s still not enough I’ll send you the whole factory! Just let Huishou know what else you need, all I am responsible for is signing on the documents.”

“Yes… I think that’s all…” Hong Dali stroked his chin and thought about it. “That should be enough for now.”

“That’s settled. I will call them now.” The Bureau Chief was smiling like a chrysanthemum in bloom. “What else do you need more of? Get more of them now. That will save you some trouble and me the extra trips.”

Once he was done talking, he went off to make a phone call. When he returned he was flabbergasted at what he saw.

Hong Dali was waving at his classmates. “Brothers! The Bureau Chief has agreed to give us sports equipment! It should take no more than two days before we can play football on the carrier!”

Hong Dali’s classmates cheered. “Brother Dali is the best! I have always wanted to play football on a carrier!

“My god…” The Bureau Chief had an urge to strangle Hong Dali. It was lucky he did not really do it in the end. “Forget it. Let the rascal do whatever he wants…”

…

In the night. On the aircraft carrier, Big Fish.

Red Heart Q Christina and Diamond K Levis sat at a corner of the aircraft carrier deck. They were quietly discussing the events of the day.

“You see, the prodigal Hong Dali is ridiculous.” Christina felt like laughing when she spoke about what Hong Dali said in the day. “He wants to transform the aircraft carrier into a man-made island for summer holidays, and also play football on the carrier…”

“It’s a real eye-opener.” Levis looked back at the workers who were welding safety railings around the deck and shrugged his shoulders helplessly. “To be honest, I really can’t bear to do it now. You know I’ve always been a football fan. To be able to play football on an aircraft carrier is really incredible. I’m really looking forward to it. I see them painting the football field—the size is exactly 105 meters long and 68 meters wide, which is the standard set by the International Football Association. It’s hard to find one so accurately drawn.”

“Oh…” Christina sighed softly. “It seems that it will be quite a while before we can go back to headquarters this time.” After saying that, she laughed again. “However, I’m actually quite looking forward to it. I feel that if we just try to kill him now, we might not succeed. If we succeed, we might never witness such an imaginative prodigal again. It’s actually really quite regrettable. Why don’t we… wait?”

“I have no opinion.” Diamond K said chuckling. “It’s Jaban which is anxious, we are not in a hurry.”

“I think so, too.”

The two were talking when suddenly, there was a voice behind them, greeting. “Hey, beautiful, handsome, what are you talking about? As a good friend who came on board together, do you mind if I join you?”

Christina and Levis turned their heads. The man had golden hair and a strange birthmark on one cheek. It was Ferguson, who had come on board with them. He was the Angel of Misfortune, Vincent Iverson.

“Of course.” Christina smiled and patted the deck next to her. “Are you afraid of heights? It’s quite high up here.”

“Just a little.” The Angel of Misfortune smiled as he sat down next to Christina. He, however, did not dangle his legs over the side like the two of them did. “I have witnessed Young Master Dali’s squandering strategy today. To be honest, I thought I was pretty well off. It’s obvious, however, that when compared with the Young Master, I’m but a beggar.”

Finding him funny, Christina grinned and said, “It’s okay. After all, there’s only one prodigal like that in the whole world. I also came here after hearing about him. I did not think that I would be so lucky to become his friend so soon after arriving.”

“Yeah, me too.” Lucifer decided to just lie on the deck. The deck of the aircraft carrier was warm after being under the sun during the day and, combined with the cooling wind, its temperature was just right. It was comfortable lying on it. Lucifer took a deep breath contentedly and smiled. “I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen next. The Young Master’s imagination is simply too amazing. Hey, do you think the Young Master will really make the carrier into a man-made island? Just the thought of a man-made island of more than 30,000 square meters sailing on the sea is very spectacular.”

“I think so.” Christina agreed with that point. “The other carrier, the sci-fi themed one. What will it look like? Spaceship? Starship?”

“More or less.” Lucifer nodded and said, “The Young Master’s extravagance has never left much to be desired. There should be no problem this time, either.”

At that point, he said, intentionally or otherwise, “When we get to the open sea, I wonder where the Young Master intends to go. If we go out of the Heavenly State’s waters, will we encounter pirates? Oh, right, Mr. Levis, I heard that you were a sailor? Have you ever encountered a pirate? Is it dangerous?? They probably would not have the courage to come rob an aircraft carrier?”

“A group of murderous rubbish,” said Levis disdainfully. “If we really run into them, the best thing to do is to twist their heads off.” After saying this, he looked at Lucifer and added, “There is no need to feel any psychological burden. Even the kindest of the pirates have taken at least dozens of lives with their own hands. Killing them is considered doing good for mankind.”
