Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

Sharks’ sense of smell was not ordinary. In just a few minutes, changes appeared on the surface of the sea.

Those sharp-eyed pointed afar and shouted, “See! Sharks fins!” His shout attracted the attention of the people on the boats. They all turned to look. Indeed, in the vast sea, black knife-like objects were approaching them.

They were the back fins of sharks! These things extremely sensitive to the smell of blood had come to Hong Dali’s calling.

Sharks lived in the sea. Some regarded them as the most ferocious fishes.

“Ah, these cute little things…” Hong Dali stared at the sea, smiling. “Precious, come to Big Bro Dali!” If not for the sharks, the Bureau Chief really felt like kicking him into the sea—he could swim well, anyway.

Soon, someone shouted again, “Quick look, more sharks. There are so many of them!”

There was not just one shark, there were thirty to forty fins on the surface of the water!

A huge school of sharks!

The school of sharks caused the girls to scream in unison. The scene was too spectacular—the sharks surrounded the boats Hong Dali and the others were in.

The more timid girls leaned toward the boys. This made the boys feel fortunate—sharks could be quite cute at times, at least they acted like matchmakers…

Of course, these bloodthirsty sharks were exclusive marine pets just to the little prodigal, Hong Dali—this rascal waved at the sharks and said, “Precious babies, come into the bowl!”

The sharks really did queue up and stood up in the water!

They understood Hong Dali!

Could you imagine an entire school of sharks, each almost three meters long, lined up neatly with their jaws wide open, displaying their sharp teeth? When the Bureau Chief saw that, he got goosebumps. Hong Dali had grown to this extent?!

Even the fishes in the sea listened to him?!

Christina and Levis were dumbfounded by the scene. Levis tugged at Christina’s arm secretly and whispered, “It seems we were right not to take action. I had thought of throwing the prodigal into the sea to feed the sharks. As it seems, I would have become the one to feed the sharks…”

Christina nodded and whispered, “Let’s continue to observe him. The headquarters have clearly underestimated this prodigal. With his ability, the reward should be at least one billion US dollars.”

“Aye.” Levis softly said, “Those two who came to kill him, could they have been killed by animals? I always thought their deaths were a mystery.” Seeing the scene before him, he shivered.

The thought of being mauled by thirty to forty sharks… made one shudder at the thought!

Lucifer was scared motionless. He knew Hong Dali was fond of animals and was very close to them. Rearing dogs, tigers, pandas. But he never expected Hong Dali to summon sharks!

Sharks were like motorboats in the sea! Right on top of the food pyramid!

Hong Dali’s presence in the sea was unmatched. Who else could be his match?

“Hmm…” Lucifer touched his chin. “Curses get transferred, can control animals, what other secrets could this guy have. Hehe, interesting. Should I try cursing him in the middle of the sea to see what’s the outcome?”

Curiosity killed the cat. In the middle of the sea, it was hard to predict whose curiosity would kill…

Hence, Lucifer took out his smartphone and posted a Weibo message. “Heard Hong Dali went out to sea? Yes, yes, that’s a good idea. The sky, the sea, hear my summon. Come play in the form of a storm?”

Lucifer laughed after he sent the post. He mumbled to himself, “I suddenly realized, it’s fun guessing who will be at the receiving end of my curse—saying that, who will be the unlucky one? To what extent will it be…”

Of course, it was hard for anyone to understand the thoughts of this amusing idiot, Lucifer…

As Lucifer was happily posting his Weibo, Hong Dali decisively activated the sharing of emotions with animals.

After all, they were going to be riding on sharks. If he didn’t do that, he might be safe, but there was no guarantee the others would be safe as well. If someone fell into the sea and got bitten—that was no joke. Hong Dali might appear unfeeling, but he was not stupid.

Once he activated shared emotions, everyone was stunned.

“Ouch! It’s painful!” The first message that came from the sharks was a cry of pain.

Pain? Why would these sharks be hurting? The crowd was curious. While everyone was trying to figure out what happened, a sharp-eyed person said, “Quick, look, there are hooks on some of the sharks’ mouths!”

“Aye? It’s true!” Hong Dali looked in that direction. When he saw, he nodded and said, “It’s true! Precious babies, queue in a line. Your Big Bro Dali will help you!”

The sharks could be seen diving into the water for about two minutes. When they came back to the surface, about twenty sharks standing in the front were hurt!

Fishermen net hooks were hanging from the mouths of these sharks. Some had their fin entangled in fishing lines. The sharks were all hurt at different places.

“Everyone, get some steel pliers!” Tang Muxin anxiously instructed. “Let’s get rid of these hooks and fishing lines first.”

Speaking of which, sharks were rather cute when they didn’t eat people. Especially the two big rows of teeth when they opened their mouths… Well, it was best not to put one’s head in there…

The Bureau Chief and the others hesitated. But Hong Dali and his buddies were all brave. Some grabbed knives and some grabbed pliers. They gathered in an instant. Of course, it was easy to get the tools, but it was no easy feat to help the sharks—the key thing was, it was easy with them on top and the sharks in the water, but it was a different matter if they were in the water with all the sharks…

“Let me go down first.” For Hong Dali’s safety, the Bureau Chief decided to test the waters first. “Wait for me up here. Once I’m sure it’s safe, you all can come down.”

Such bravery. Everyone was touched. Li Yang cried, “Bureau Chief, you are such an important person, how can you be the one to test the waters. Let me go!”

“Rubbish. Everyone’s lives matter. My life is not more important than anyone else’s. Bring me the diving suit.” The Bureau Chief looked intently at Hong Dali and took a deep breath. “Rascal, my life is in your hands…”

Before he finished speaking, Hong Dali laughed and jumped down with the pliers. “Putong”. He then emerged from the water. “See how scared you are. Hahaha. These babies are very well-behaved. Wait for me!”

“Dali!” Everyone was shocked. Tang Muxin shouted, “You’re serious!”

“Of course I’m serious, why would I fake it?” Hong Dali laughed and hugged a shark. “Come, let’s take a photo together!” It was amazing that the shark understood Hong Dali. It even leaned closer to Hong Dali and opened its mouth, revealing a row of scary sharp teeth.

The crowd took out their smartphones to take photos. And so, in the history of mankind, the most precious photo of a man and beast emerged—Hong Dali smiled like a blooming chrysanthemum, and the shark also revealed a bit of a friendly smile…

Everyone was certain, the only person who could become buddies with sharks was Hong Dali…

“Let’s take this as a happy holiday.” Levis said softly, “At least for this rascal, I have no confidence of succeeding at all.”

“Me too.” Christina nodded. “He’s too magical. I’m very curious, what other unexpected stuff will he come up with?”

“This must be a female shark.” Seeing how Hong Dali was safe, Tang Muxin was finally relieved. She even joked as she took photos. “Dali, this shark must have fallen in love with you, hehe.”

“I’m handsome, suave, and dashing. It’s normal to fall in love with me.” Hong Dali took the pliers and cut off the fishing lines coiled around the shark’s fin. He patted on the shark’s head. “Okay, next!”

Just as he did that, the System suddenly sounded—

[Side Mission 1: The Caring Little Prodigal. Mission Requirement: Bravery. Current Progress: 1/100. Reward: “Animals’ Best Friend” title upgrade. Title Effect: Host can easily control any animals. Title Level: Level Three (Max). Additional explanation: This mission does not have to be completed. Once the System finishes upgrading, it will be erased.]

The System which had been quiet for a while appeared again! The Caring Little Prodigal mission for the Big Prodigal System was this! This meant, by ignoring the danger involved when helping animals, he would become the real Animals’ Best Friend?

Thinking about it, to have the courage to jump into the sea full of sharks was not something anyone could do…

“Wohahahahaha!” Hong Dali was elated. If he completed this mission, the title level would be maxed! Animals all over the world would be his best friends. Wahahahahaha!
