Deep Space Scavenging, Hand Over Alien Warships at the Beginning

Chapter 100 The Warning of ”Not Gentle””Yes, Captain!”

On the rough, stubbly face of Weapons Officer Lao Zhang, his jaw muscles tightened abruptly, yet the corners of his mouth uncontrollably curled upwards, revealing a row of smoke-stained, yellow teeth. That grin was ferocious and fanatical, bearing a seventy-percent resemblance to Lin Yuan, who was sitting in the command seat at this moment.

This was authority.

The feeling of holding the scepter of a god.

Lao Zhang’s hands became two blurs over the floating holographic interface, his fingertips tapping the virtual keys at a dizzying rhythm.

”Anti-gravity beam generator, calculation complete.”

”Target locked — CVN-78, the Ford nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.”

”Coordinates calibrated successfully.”

”Gravitational potential field established.”

”Energy output set to: 30%.”

Lao Zhang suddenly raised his head, his eyes fixed on the red dot on the screen representing the one-hundred-thousand-ton steel beast, and his right thumb slammed down on the deep blue virtual button.

”Grab!”

Hum—

An extremely low, vibrating sound echoed inside the massive hull of the luan bird one.

It was not the roar of machinery; it was the groan of the spatial structure under high-energy interference.

Beneath the belly of the ship, the thick composite armor plates slid open silently.

There was no brilliant beam of light.

No blinding electric arcs.

Only the air directly beneath the hull experienced a bizarre refraction at that instant.

It was the illusion of sight being twisted.

It was as if an invisible giant hand had roughly reached into the atmosphere and grabbed the space over that stretch of sea below.

...

On the sea surface, the gale howled.

The deck of the Ford aircraft carrier was in chaos.

Ground crew were attempting to secure an F-35C fighter jet amidst the turbulence. The intense sea wind, carrying salty mist, lashed against everyone’s faces.

A young communications soldier was squatting at the maintenance hatch on the side of the island, attempting to restart the data link antenna that had just inexplicably malfunctioned.

Suddenly.

That nauseating sense of turbulence vanished.

In its place was an eerie steadiness.

Immediately after, a sensation of indescribable churning rose from his stomach.

It was like standing in a runaway high-speed elevator as the carriage shot upwards.

The wrench in the communications soldier’s hand slipped from his grip.

But he did not hear the crisp sound of the wrench hitting the ground.

That heavy alloy wrench was actually floating in mid-air, even slowly drifting upwards.

”What the hell...”

He raised his head blankly, his gaze crossing over the railing and looking into the distance.

The next second.

The blood in his entire body froze.

The sea level was dropping.

No.

It was he who was rising.

This super battleship, 337 meters long with a full load displacement of over one hundred thousand tons, this steel fortress representing the pinnacle of human industrial civilization, was breaking free from the embrace of the sea.

Rumble—

The sound of the massive water flow was deafening.

Tens of thousands of tons of seawater poured down from the wide ship bottom, crashing into the sea surface with a thunderous roar, kicking up a sky full of white mist.

The aircraft carrier’s massive propellers were still spinning in vain, churning up countless falling water droplets, but they could no longer touch that familiar sea.

”Ahhhhhh!!!”

A heart-wrenching scream erupted from the deck.

As the hull rose rapidly, the tow tractors, bomb carts, and even several fighter jets that had not been secured with arresting gear began to slide irrevocably toward the stern.

The communications soldier held onto the railing for dear life, his feet dangling in the air, watching helplessly as an F-35C fighter jet, costing tens of millions of dollars, slid down the tilted deck like a discarded tin toy, tumbling into the increasingly distant abyss below.

This was a miracle.

And it was a nightmare for mortals.

On the surrounding Ticonderoga-class cruisers and Arleigh Burke-class destroyers responsible for escort, thousands of American sailors maintained the same posture.

Heads tilted back.

Mouths agape.

Stupefied.

Their necks were as stiff as rusted gears, and their eyeballs were bloodshot from extreme congestion.

In their field of vision, the flagship that was usually as majestic as a mountain now appeared so small and fragile.

It was in the sky.

Stripped forcibly from the shackles of gravity by some invisible, immense power, it hung beneath the firmament.

One could even clearly see the barnacles and seaweed attached to the bottom of the ship.

This scene completely shattered everyone’s cognitive bottom line.

Physics no longer existed.

Newton was dead.

All that remained was that silver-black demon hovering at an altitude of ten thousand meters, obscuring the sun.

...

The bridge of the Ford.

Piercing alarms resounded throughout the entire Command Center, and red emergency lights flashed frantically, illuminating everyone’s faces to look as ferocious as vengeful ghosts.

”Altitude is at 300 meters... 500 meters... 800 meters!”

”Hull structural stress overload! The keel is making strange noises!”

”Damn it! Our propulsion system has completely failed! This isn’t a mechanical failure, we’ve been captured!”

The Five-Star General slumped on the floor beside the command chair.

He was not injured, but his legs could no longer support his body’s weight.

That crisp military uniform, which represented glory and power, was now wrinkled and clinging to his body, and cold sweat had long since soaked his back.

He gripped the metal legs of the chair tightly, completely unaware that his fingernails had broken.

Through the bulletproof porthole in front, what he saw was no longer the azure sea, but blinding clouds.

The clouds were beneath his feet.

”Devil...”

The General’s lips trembled, and two streams of murky liquid slid down the corners of his eyes; these were physiological tears squeezed out by fear.

”This is not a power that humans can possess...”

”What on earth... have we provoked?”

Just ten minutes ago, he was still high-spirited, fantasizing about receiving a medal from the President at the White House, fantasizing about the scene of Daxia kneeling and begging for mercy.

But now.

He was like an ant held in the hand of a mischievous child.

That suffocating sense of insignificance was more despairing than death itself.

...

At an altitude of ten thousand meters, the bridge of the luan bird one.

It was so quiet here that one could only hear the faint hum of equipment running.

Lin Yuan leaned back in the large captain’s chair, his left hand supporting his chin, his right hand tapping lightly on the armrest.

On the main holographic screen, the current wretched state of the Ford was being broadcast in real-time.

In the thermal imaging view, those red heat sources—that is, the American soldiers on the aircraft carrier—were scurrying about like headless flies.

”Tsk tsk.”

Lin Yuan smacked his lips, his eyes devoid of any pity, filled only with the mockery of a mischievous child watching a show.

”The way this thing flies is quite unique.”

”It’s a pity, if it were any higher, those people wouldn’t need us to take action; they would run out of oxygen on their own.”

His relaxed tone caused the originally tense air inside the bridge to instantly loosen.

Li Na stood behind to the side, her gaze sweeping over Lin Yuan’s profile, a flash of brilliance appearing in her eyes.

This man.

Usually, he was lackadaisical, haggling for ages even when collecting scrap.

But when it truly came to such a moment that decided the fate of humanity, he was more like a monarch than anyone else.

This was Daxia’s confidence.

”Captain.”

Li Na stepped forward, her voice cold and calm.

”The target has been lifted to the predetermined altitude of 1200 meters. According to the scan, the opposing ship’s hull structure has reached a critical point, and the keel has undergone slight deformation.”

”Shall we execute the next command?”

She paused, her tone carrying a hint of inquiry.

”Should we throw it back into the sea?”

Throw it back?

Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow, the smile at the corners of his mouth deepening, a chill permeating that smile that made one’s spine run cold.

Just throwing it down would at most make a splash and sink a few ships.

This gang of Anglo-Saxon bandits forgets the pain once their hunger is satisfied.

Forgetting the pain once the scar has healed is their traditional skill.

Since we need to establish authority, we must slap them so hard it reaches their bones, making them feel phantom pain with every breath they take.

”No.”

Lin Yuan shook his head and sat up straight.

The mockery in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by an absolute coldness.

”Throwing it into the sea is just fishing with explosives; it’s too wasteful.”

”Since they like showing off their military might so much, and like conducting global deterrence so much, we’ll give them a hand.”

Lin Yuan turned his head, his gaze locking onto the face of Weapons Officer Lao Zhang, which was flushed with excitement.

”Lao Zhang.”

”Here!” Lao Zhang roared until his voice cracked.

”When the satellite scanned just now, didn’t we find a quite interesting place nearby?”

Lin Yuan’s fingers swept across the void, calling up a nautical chart.

More than three hundred kilometers away from here, there was a deserted island.

That was the largest abandoned target range of the Eagle-Sauce in the Western Pacific, and also the place they usually used to show off their military might and test new types of bombs.

”Input the coordinates.”

Lin Yuan’s voice was very soft, yet it felt like a heavy hammer striking everyone’s heart.

”Max out the power of the ’Gravity Hand’ instantly.”

”We are not fishing with explosives.”

”We are going to play a game.”

Lin Yuan held up a finger, and toward the one-hundred-thousand-ton giant ship still struggling helplessly in the air on the holographic screen, he made a throwing motion.

”A game called ’Throwing the Discus’.”

”I think this island is quite sturdy; it’s just right for catching this piece of scrap metal.”

”Let the whole world take a good look.”

”This is their invincible fleet they are so proud of; let’s see what it’s worth in front of Daxia.”
