Deep Space Scavenging, Hand Over Alien Warships at the Beginning

Chapter 89 ”Genesis” Plan”The ’Genesis’ Project, initiate!”

Chen Weiguo’s voice boomed through the high-power broadcast system, crashing into the claustrophobic space of the underground base.

The sound waves echoed between rock layers hundreds of meters deep, each refraction feeling like a strike against everyone’s heart valves, stirring up a trembling resonance.

At this moment, everyone understood.

That old era belonging to Great Xia—no, belonging to the entire human civilization—had ended.

A brand-new era, wild and savage, measured in light-years, had been rudely unveiled by this command.

In the Northwest Gobi, the desolate wind and sand could not conceal the trembling of the earth.

The roar of countless heavy truck engines converged into a torrent of steel, fully loaded with rare metals secretly procured from all over the world—even through some gray and black channels: titanium, tungsten, iridium, and those strategic materials that had slumbered in the corners of the periodic table for years.

These convoys ran day and night, their headlights forming a belt of light that burned a scorching vein on satellite maps, continuously pumping industrial blood into this heart buried deep underground.

And in the deepest part of that heart.

Inside that underground shipyard, as magnificent as a Gothic cathedral, the air was dry and taut, filled with the scent of ozone mixed with engine oil.

Academician Wang stood on the towering console, overlooking the unassuming silver cube below.

If he had been a dying old man three days ago, now, having injected the alien genetic serum, he felt energy surging within him sufficient to ignite a star.

Although his white hair had not yet turned completely black, his eyes were terrifyingly bright, revealing a sharp spirit ready to pierce the firmament.

Behind him stood a legion of scientists who had also experienced a ”rebirth.”

This group of old men and women, who should have been sunning themselves in a nursing home, were now like a bunch of lunatics injected with stimulants.

Their fingers danced across the holographic keyboards, leaving afterimages; their eyes were fanatical, and what poured from their mouths was data sufficient to make the outside physics community’s hearts stop.

”All power lines, grid connection complete! Voltage peaks stable!”

”Liquid metal feed pumps operating at full power, pressure readings normal!”

”The pangu system self-check complete, the arbitrators-class destroyer blueprint resolution rate 100%, data stream locked!”

”The nano-forging matrix core temperature control normal, ready for operation at any time!”

Each report sounded like a war drum, making one’s blood boil.

Academician Wang took a deep breath, his chest heaving violently.

He turned his head to look at the figure beside him, who stood like a pillar of stability.

Chen Weiguo’s face was cold and hard, his shoulders broad enough to shoulder a collapsing sky.

He had no superfluous words, walking with large strides to the center of the console.

There, only a red button existed.

There was no protective cover, no flashy decorations.

It was exposed nakedly to the air, exuding an alluringly dangerous aura.

Chen Weiguo’s palm hovered above the button, pausing slightly.

His gaze swept across the entire scene like a searchlight.

It swept over the fanatical scientists, over the young soldiers gripping their steel rifles with white knuckles, and over this massive base, which was like a jungle of steel.

Finally, his line of sight lingered for a moment on the young man in the corner who still looked a bit pale.

Then, he slammed his palm down.

”I announce!”

”The ’Genesis’ Project, phase one—’Ship Construction’!”

”Now, begin!”

Click.

The crisp sound of mechanical engagement was instantly swallowed by the low-frequency roar that followed.

”Hum—!”

This was not an explosion, but a deeper, more ancient tremor.

It was like the moment of the Big Bang; all things trembled at this frequency.

In the center of the underground shipyard, that originally stationary silver cube—the ”nano-forging matrix”—suddenly came ”alive.”

It did not deform, nor did it have complex mechanical operations.

It simply lit up.

The light that erupted in that instant was ten thousand times more blinding than the noon sun!

Everyone subconsciously squinted, their goggles automatically adjusting to the maximum shading mode.

Immediately after.

”Hiss—!”

A shrill sound like a high-pressure water jet cutting through a steel plate rang out.

A silver torrent gushed out from the bottom of the matrix.

That was not water, not mercury; it was a swarm of billions of microscopic mechanical insects, impossible to distinguish with the naked eye!

They converged together, forming this ”tide” that possessed self-awareness and madness.

The conveyor belt began to turn, and the first batch of raw materials to serve as ”feed” was sent up.

That was a high-purity titanium alloy ingot weighing fifty tons.

Under Earth’s current industrial system, processing it would require dozens of hours of cutting and grinding by CNC machine tools.

But now.

The silver tide just gently washed over it.

There was no sound of sparks flying from cutting, no smoke from high-temperature melting.

That incredibly hard metal ingot, like an ice cube thrown into boiling water, collapsed and melted at a speed visible to the naked eye.

It was instantly ”eaten” clean by those countless greedy nano-insects, reduced to the most basic atomic particles.

Devouring was just the beginning.

After devouring massive amounts of metal atoms, the volume of this silver tide expanded rapidly.

They no longer flowed aimlessly, but seemed to hear some kind of command from the void.

Inside the pangu system, that warship blueprint, complex enough to make one’s scalp tingle, became the only bible for their actions.

The silver tide began to climb upward.

They intertwined, solidified, and hardened in the void.

Countless atoms were rearranged, and countless molecular bonds were forcibly locked.

This was the true authority of a creator!

Under the gaze of thousands of eyes, a huge, black spine, shimmering with a cold metallic luster, was ”growing” out of thin air!

One meter.

Ten meters.

Fifty meters.

One hundred meters!

It was like an ancient beast awakening from the abyss, reshaping its own skeleton with steel and atoms.

That perfect streamlined arc, that structural support filled with the aesthetics of violence—every detail exceeded the limits of human aerodynamics.

The scene was deathly silent.

Only that subtle, dense rustling sound echoed—the sound of billions of nano-insects constructing matter.

Everyone seemed to have been hit by a freezing spell, staring blankly up at that behemoth.

This was no longer shipbuilding.

This was a miracle.

This was using human hands to steal the authority of God, forcibly fabricating a steel lifeform in this atheistic world!

”My god...”

The young operator’s tablet slipped to the ground, the screen shattering, but he was completely unaware, his lips trembling: ”Is this... is this the industry of a higher civilization?”

”We... we are making history...” an old expert said, eyes brimming with hot tears, gripping the railing tightly until his knuckles turned white.

Chen Weiguo stood at the very front, his body straight as a ramrod.

He watched that keel, which was still extending and growing, the cold metallic luster reflected in his eyes.

His hands were trembling, not out of fear, but because of a throbbing from the depths of his soul.

Only he knew how long Great Xia had endured humiliation for this day.

From the gunboat diplomacy of a century ago, to the later nuclear blackmail, to the current technological blockade.

This nation had always been chasing, always gritting its teeth and fighting with blood and sweat.

And today.

The birth of this keel meant that the balance of power had completely shifted!

Whatever the First Island Chain, whatever aircraft carrier battle groups—before this interstellar warship about to be born, they would all be reduced to laughable toys.

Great Xia’s gaze would no longer be limited to that azure surface.

We would possess true ”star rights”!
