Beast Taming: I'm Really Not a Cultivation Master

Chapter 507: Chapter 468: A Deal with Luo Siqi

After Wu You left, Li Qian returned to Xianya Garden and started to review his studies.

He paid no mind to Lu Tianjiao’s pestering.

Final exams were about to start, so Li Qian had to hurry up and study.

Although he had already pretty much mastered the material from his first and second years, he had been delayed recently due to his off-campus training.

So now, he couldn’t be one hundred percent certain he would pass the exams smoothly.

After all, he wasn’t taking a normal exam, but an advancement exam to skip a grade.

As long as he passed, he could move directly to third-year courses next semester.

Of course, he had actually already studied a large portion of the third-year curriculum as well.

Most importantly, by the end of next semester, he could defend his graduation thesis according to his plan.

That’s right, Li Qian had made up his mind.

’One year to complete four years of undergraduate studies, and then, straight to graduate school.’

”If you ask me, what’s there to even think about? You’ve got to accept!” At some point, Lu Tianjiao had appeared on the balcony.

Just a little while ago, during dinner, Li Qian had briefly told him about Wu You.

’I’d already put it out of my mind, but I can’t believe this guy is still so hung up on it.’

Li Qian had thought the guy might offer some profound insight, but he never expected his words would be so outrageous. ”That girl is totally stacked, has a killer body, and her looks are top-notch.”

He gave a thumbs-up and continued, ”Think about it. After you form a contract, isn’t that like having a portable bombshell?”

”The best part is, you can pull her into your Beast Taming Space anytime, anywhere, and then let her out anytime, anywhere.”

”She can’t even defy your will. You can play with her however you... COUGH COUGH... well, you know...”

As he spoke, Lu Tianjiao was practically drooling, wishing he could be the one in Li Qian’s place.

’But his dirty thoughts... just thinking about them... was actually a little exciting...’

’Er...’

’How could I have such a thought?’

’I must have been corrupted by that guy Lu Tianjiao.’

Finally, Lu Tianjiao wiggled his eyebrows and summed it up, ”Tell me, isn’t that way more fun than those robotic maids?”

”COUGH COUGH...” Li Qian coughed lightly, then tossed an apple at Lu Tianjiao to drive the guy away.

After Lu Tianjiao left, Li Qian began to think about it seriously.

’This... actually seems like a pretty good option.’

Thinking of this, he didn’t hesitate and immediately gave Dean Fei a call.

Dean Fei offered his advice. Like Lu Tianjiao, he also hoped Li Qian would form a contract with Wu You.

Of course, their ultimate motives were completely different.

Dean Fei analyzed the pros and cons for him.

Doubling his number of Contract Positions was just one reason.

Another point was that the Wing Race themselves possessed high Potential.

After evolving to a deep level, their own combat power would also be quite astonishing.

After this consultation, Li Qian actually already had an answer in his heart.

However, he didn’t contact Wu You right away.

He had plenty of time; there was no need to rush his reply.

「Just like that, time flew by, and the next day arrived.」

That day, two more people came to the university looking for him.

These two were different from Wu You, however.

Their arrival was within Li Qian’s expectations.

Pei Yuanyuan and her mentor.

Her mentor’s name was Luo Siqi, a gentle and refined man who looked to be in his early forties.

The three of them met and exchanged simple pleasantries before Luo Siqi took the initiative to get down to business.

”Student Li Qian, I have no objection to your proposal to trade all the collected data in my base for the Emperor Beast evolution method you possess.”

Hearing this, the corner of Li Qian’s mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.

’What do you mean, *my* proposal?’

’You probably don’t even know that it was your precious student’s idea in the first place.’

’It had absolutely nothing to do with me.’

’I wonder if Luo Siqi would give Pei Yuanyuan a beating if he knew the full story.’

Of course, whether she got a beating or not, Li Qian no longer cared.

Since things had come to this, and Luo Siqi had brought it up himself, Li Qian naturally wouldn’t refuse. He simply went with the flow and nodded.

Seeing Li Qian nod, a smile bloomed on Luo Siqi’s face. ”Excellent. Then it’s settled.”

Since both parties were happy to see this happen, everything that followed was simple.

Using VR glasses and a smart wristband, all the data from Luo Siqi’s Cultivation Base was recorded into Li Qian’s personal virtual cloud drive in less than half an hour.

Li Qian, naturally, also exchanged the Emperor Beast’s evolution method without holding anything back.

Luo Siqi received the evolution method and immediately began to review it. A moment later, he couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement, ”So that’s how it is, so that’s how it is... No wonder, no wonder...”

”Emotional Evolution... it’s truly miraculous. But this also blocks the evolutionary path for most Tun Tun.”

Luo Siqi said with some emotion, ”This method is destined to allow only a small fraction of Tun Tun to complete the evolution, to make the leap to a higher tier of existence!”

He quickly realized the problem.

However, the impact wasn’t actually that significant.

This was mainly because the base population of Tun Tun was enormous.

Even with an evolution probability of just one percent, its practical value was still immeasurable.

After completing the transaction and chatting for a few more minutes, Pei Yuanyuan and Luo Siqi left.

Just as they were leaving, Pei Yuanyuan suddenly spoke up, inviting him to come to Jiangnan Beast Taming University next semester for an academic exchange.

Li Qian gave a perfunctory reply, ”If I have the chance, I’ll go,” and brushed it off.

As for whether he would actually go, he’d decide when the time came.

After leaving Shazhou Beast Taming University, halfway to their destination, Pei Yuanyuan said as if seeking praise, ”Professor, I didn’t lie to you, did I? This deal was a huge bargain for us, wasn’t it?”

”The most important thing is the Emperor Beast’s future Potential and research direction.”

The young woman spoke with great confidence, ”Next, we just need to keep researching the Emperor Beast in the direction of the Melt Element. If we can figure out a Second-stage Evolution, forget Legendary Level, reaching Saint Spirit Level is a 100% certainty...”

Hearing this, Luo Siqi glanced at his student.

He knew exactly what this girl was thinking.

Of course, the young woman was right about one thing.

Although the price they paid was steep, he hadn’t gotten a bad deal. The value of the Emperor Beast’s evolution method was indeed very high.

Its future Potential was also plain to see.

As for whether they could actually research anything further, well, that was another matter entirely.

There was another point he hadn’t mentioned: both Dean Long Jue of the Cultivation College and Director Duan Kong of the Combat Academy had brought up Li Qian.

They hoped he would do his best to win him over.
