God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 244: Chapter 362: Tense Atmosphere

The first sound on the other end of the phone was a series of somewhat hurried breaths. Although Zhong Aiguo hadn’t spoken yet, Xiao Tian could already feel a sense of tension through the call.

”What happened?” Xiao Tian asked.

”A few days ago, I sent He Hong to lead a team to launch a strong attack on the Japanese Intelligence Department, intending to seize back the data. But just yesterday, Huaxia lost contact with them!”

Xiao Tian’s eyes paused, and then he asked with some surprise, ”He Hong is in Japan? A strong attack?”

After all, He Hong had worked as a bodyguard for the Zhong Family before, so Xiao Tian knew a bit about him.

What Xiao Tian hadn’t expected was that Huaxia had already taken action, and he knew nothing about it!

The voice of Zhong Aiguo on the other end of the phone was extremely heavy. On one hand, he was worried about the country’s critical data; on the other hand, he was worried about his subordinates.

Zhong Aiguo said slowly, ”I organized a sneak attack plan before... but it failed. I didn’t expect this strong attack to fail too... I underestimated these Japanese people!”

After repeated failures, Zhong Aiguo finally realized his underestimation of the enemy.

Since Zhong Aiguo was willing to call him, it indicated that the situation was already extremely serious.

Xiao Tian directly said, ”Leave it to me.”

This time, along with the revenge for his third aunt, it was time to make a thorough end!

Xiao Tian thought to himself.

Even though they had communicated very little over the years, they were still father and son. Blood ties allowed Xiao Tian to always understand what this elder meant.

”You be careful then.”

In fact, this time Zhong Aiguo didn’t directly ask Xiao Tian to intervene because he had a personal motive.

Zhong Aiguo had spent half his life fighting for the country, and just a few days ago Zhong Kexin was injured. This suddenly amplified Zhong Aiguo’s inner unease to the extreme.

His intuition told him he didn’t want Xiao Tian to get involved in this matter.

Although Xiao Tian had been away from home for years, he had already sacrificed enough, whether for home or for the country.

The leaders above knew Xiao Tian’s contributions, which is why they always kept a position in the National Security for him. But from a father’s perspective, Zhong Aiguo still didn’t want Xiao Tian to return.

However, this time due to his negligence, things developed to this point. This concerned the safety of a nation, so personal feelings had to be set aside.

Zhong Aiguo had mobilized every force he could. The only one left was his son Xiao Tian, the ”God of the Army” who had never disappointed him over the years.

-----

After dinner, Xiao Tian and Lin Bingxuan returned to the hotel, while Ozawa Miwa also drove away, agreeing to meet when they were free.

At night, Xiao Tian laid the already sleeping Lin Bingxuan on the bed. Judging by her look, she was obviously extremely tired over the past few days and had fallen asleep on his shoulder.

Just as he was about to dial a contact to inquire about information.

Ping!

There was a light sound on the glass. It was the sound of a pebble hitting it, and Xiao Tian walked to the window in a few steps.

He saw a black-robed person wandering under the dim streetlights on the street below. There was no one else around, and it was obvious that the pebble had been thrown by him.

Xiao Tian gently covered Lin Bingxuan with a blanket and then slowly left the room.

Xiao Tian quickly walked downstairs and saw the black-robed man walking away leisurely. Xiao Tian hurriedly quickened his pace to catch up.

”Please wait a moment!”

The black-robed man paused at his words, didn’t turn his head, and directly tossed a note to Xiao Tian before walking away quickly.

The note only had a few numbers written on it.

”Qitian Street, code.”

**

The night wore on. In a remote area of Tokyo’s city district, a few remaining Huaxia elites were desperately fleeing with the data they had grabbed. Behind them, car noises could faintly be heard; those were the Huaxia agents who had been chasing them relentlessly.

Ever since they escaped from the Intelligence Department, they’ve been facing the Japanese side’s pursuit. A slight mistake meant a deep abyss.

In the morning, they had just encountered a Japanese special forces team. Though they risked their lives protecting the data and broke through the encirclement, a few comrades were still lost in the breakout process.

At present, He Hong, who was seriously injured, was well aware that they were merely struggling to survive.

It was already a miracle that they could hold out until now, what more could they hope for?

He Hong gripped the data in his hand, which was said to contain Huaxia’s major military research findings.

He Hong’s heart burned with anger. Clearly, the data was already in their hands, and success was just a step away!

However, he knew that this step was the difference between heaven and earth.

Now, they were fleeing in complete numbness. After the previous battle and such a long period of fighting, their stamina had already been pushed to its limits.

In reality, they had long lost hope in their hearts. They were even prepared for the worst, to destroy the data.

Better to lose it than let it fall into Japanese hands!

As they frantically fled, the sound of cars behind them grew nearer, quickly approaching them. When the car stopped, numerous Japanese agents quickly jumped out, raising their guns and firing at them.

Sparks flew, smoke filled the air.

”Baka! Today, you will all die here!!” The leading agent wearing a black hat shouted angrily.

The spy leader has been given a death order this time. If he can’t bring back the data or kill the Huaxia people who broke into the intelligence department, he will be shot directly!

The leader did not hesitate, and was the first to fire at the remaining Huaxia elite.

The spy leader shouted, ”Kill them for me, and slowly search the data from their bodies!”

No sooner had the spy leader spoken, countless agents rushed over holding guns, firing a barrage.

Bursting gunfire lit up the originally pitch-black road.

Bang bang bang bang.

The Huaxia elite present had undergone years of training, each one an expert. Yet now they were all injured, their speed far less than before. In their haste to dodge, a few still got hit.

”Pfft!”

One team member was shot in the leg and instantly fell to his knees, carrying an injured companion on his back.

The spy leader, seeing that a sweep of gunfire hadn’t killed a single person, was furious, jumped into a car, and yelled, ”Chase them for me!”

-----

Meanwhile, the Huaxia elite were desperately fleeing. But they had no idea where to escape to, feeling very confused inside.

It’s not that they were scared for their lives, rather they knew the importance of the data in their hands, and they would risk their lives to get it back to the homeland!

”Not good! A dead end!” As they were running, they suddenly found the road ahead getting narrower. After a few steps, they were blocked by a huge stone wall.

This stone wall was the side of a building, giving the few no chance to climb over.

They had come to a dead end!

At this moment, He Hong’s face was growing increasingly somber. His heart was full of despair.

All behind was Japanese agents, while in front lay a dead end. The remaining Huaxia elite had clearly reached a desperate situation with pursuers on all sides.

He Hong, dazedly looking up, watched the stars filling the sky. He murmured, ”Is this destiny?”

Just then, the car lights behind grew brighter. They turned around and saw several black cars had already chased up, blocking the road.

The car doors opened, and a group of black-clad Japanese agents stepped out, coldly watching them.

He Hong tightly gripped the data, closed his eyes, prepared for the worst.

Better a shattered jade than an intact tile!

The spy leader stepped down from the car, under the protection of a group of agents, walked forward a few steps, coldly eyed the Huaxia elite present, and couldn’t help but speak smugly.

”Hahaha, foolish Huaxia people, let’s see where you run now??”

-----

Xiao Tian had reached Qitian Street half an hour earlier. But after searching for quite a while, he still hadn’t seen anyone. It was already deep night, the street was deserted.

Just as Xiao Tian was about to give up, a distant sewer entrance caught his attention.

He hurried over in a few steps, squatted down, and saw a red little star drawn on a piece of artificial marble. This star looked like child’s graffiti, very inconspicuous.

But now, Xiao Tian’s eyes widened with shock.

Because this five-pointed star was precisely the Huaxia military’s secret signal!!

The stars were continually extending forward, seemingly showing the escape direction to those who came later.

After confirming the route, Xiao Tian no longer hesitated, exploding with speed like a gust of wind, stepping on surrounding buildings, and quickly heading to Qitian Street.

***

Elsewhere, all the Japanese agents raised their guns, cold muzzles pointed directly at the Huaxia elite ahead.

He Hong, face full of scars, looked ferociously at the group of Japanese in front.

”Hahaha, foolish Huaxia people. There’s only one outcome for daring to offend us, great Japan!”

He Hong sneered, reaching into his pocket. Inside was a metal lighter.

Just as He Hong was about to destroy the data, he heard a series of screams coming from among the Japanese agents ahead.

”What’s going on?”

Feeling the disturbance in the crowd, the previously arrogant spy leader turned his head in an instant.

He saw that, within the crowd, a Black Shadow had suddenly appeared.

The Black Shadow moved like the most agile snake, swiftly weaving through the crowd. Wherever it passed, a silver flash followed, and bloodstains seemed to appear out of nowhere on the ground.

”Damn it!!”

Seeing the Black Shadow instantly take out a dozen of his men, the spy leader angrily raised his gun and started shooting.

The Black Shadow leaped directly, stepping on the building ahead, dodging. Bullets chased closely behind but couldn’t hit the Black Shadow. Firelight exploded in its wake.

This Black Shadow was indeed the urgently arriving Xiao Tian!

Xiao Tian unleashed his speed to the extreme, the dagger in his hand like a reaping machine, flashes of blade shadows cutting through with extraordinary force into the crowd before him.

”Ugh!!”

Screams echoed. By the time everyone reacted, Xiao Tian had carved out a death corridor among the Japanese agents, bodies lying everywhere.
