God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 220: Chapter 218: You’ll Know When You See It!

Regarding going to Japan, Xiao Tian had also come to terms with it. Waving his hand, he said, ”No problem, let’s do as Director Bai suggested!”

Upon hearing this, Bai Tao nodded in relief, then pointed to Yu Ningxue beside him, saying, ”This time, Ningxue will accompany you. Usually, she’s your partner. The schedule is tight, so we won’t select anyone else. Plus, you can be impulsive sometimes, so I’ll feel more reassured if Ningxue goes with you.”

Yu Ningxue cautiously looked at Xiao Tian upon hearing this. When she saw Xiao Tian nod, she felt a lot more at ease.

Bai Tao finished speaking and glanced at his watch, he had another meeting to attend. He directly said, ”The schedule is tight; your flight is arranged to leave at three in the afternoon. In the meantime, take them out for a meal, show some hospitality. The bill’s on me!”

Xiao Tian nodded and led Mo Fei and the other two out of the police station.

------

At this moment, in the capital city, at the Zhong Residence.

All of the Zhong Family’s buildings were in the ancient Huaxia style. To others, the Zhong Family was a very mysterious presence. The courtyard wall of the Zhong Family’s compound was a full two meters high, all painted red, with guard posts set up everywhere.

And outside the gate of the Zhong family, there were soldiers with guns at the ready standing guard.

A sign reading ”August 1” hung on the door, seemingly narrating the background of the Zhong Family—a super family!

Inside the study of the Zhong Family, Zhong Aiguo was practicing calligraphy. His strokes seemed to be guided by divine will, with no hesitation, the ink flying.

”Report!” Lin Gang shouted at the door.

”Come in.”

After entering, Lin Gang straightened his posture and said, ”Chief, the people you instructed are ready to go anytime.”

Zhong Aiguo paused his writing, nodded, and said thoughtfully, ”Hmm... Zhanhong has executed many special missions before, rarely failing, and has even operated in Japan previously. I feel reassured sending him... Remember, this document is very important, it must be retrieved before Japan fully analyzes it. It must be foolproof!”

”Understood, Chief, I’ll relay the instructions right away!”

Lin Gang finished speaking and left Zhong Aiguo’s study.

Zhong Aiguo sat on his chair, no longer in the mood for calligraphy. If the results of this military research were mastered by the Japanese, it would have a huge impact on the entire country!

Now he could only hope everything went smoothly.

-----

At three in the afternoon, at Shanghai City’s international airport, Xiao Tian, Yu Ningxue, and three Americans boarded the specialized plane provided for them by the Shanghai Beijing Opera.

Before the plane took off, Xiao Tian called Lin Bingxuan. He informed her of the urgent matter requiring him to go to Japan first and agreed to meet once Lin Bingxuan arrived. Lin Bingxuan gladly agreed.

Two hours later, the plane stopped at Tokyo International Airport.

As it was a police plane, it parked directly in a dedicated area in the north of the airport. Accompanied by a not-so-loud roar, the plane finally came to a slow stop.

Xiao Tian, Yu Ningxue, and Mo Fei got off the plane to find a group of Japanese police officers waiting below. In the distance, there was also a luxury car specifically meant to welcome guests.

”Ah, finally you’re here!” The one welcoming them was a deputy director from the Japan Guard Bureau, named Matsushita Daiku.

It’s said that Japanese people’s English is quite unique, but this particular officer spoke fluent English, probably to increase the Americans’ sense of recognition.

These American detectives were always revered as ”god-like” figures by the Japanese. Relying on them for previous actions, when these Americans came, the bureau’s director personally instructed to entertain them well and to ensure they enjoyed their time in Tokyo!

As for the Huaxia police, the higher-ups suggested they just be entertained casually.

Matsushita Daiku approached Mo Fei, directly introducing, ”First time in Japan, right? The bureau has arranged everything in advance, hot springs, Kobe beef, and...”

Seeing two women onboard the plane, Matsushita Daiku leaned closer to Mo Fei and softly said, ”Also some authentic Japanese women.”

”Hahahaha!!” Mo Fei, with an understanding look, patted Matsushita Daiku on the shoulder and said, ”Yes, I’m sure we’ll have a pleasant collaboration this time.”

”Hahahaha.” Mo Fei, satisfied, laughed and directly got into the luxury car with Lann and Sofia.

”Servile.” Yu Ningxue couldn’t help but mutter a word upon seeing the eager Matsushita Daiku. Xiao Tian gave a helpless smile, directly pulling Yu Ningxue down the gangway.

”You’re the Huaxia police, right?” As Xiao Tian and Yu Ningxue stepped off the gangway and were about to get into the car meant for them, Matsushita Daiku unexpectedly stepped forward to stop them.

In contrast to his earlier conversation with Mo Fei, Matsushita Daiku’s tone was now quite indifferent, a major shift in attitude.

Xiao Tian nodded, replying in perfect English, ”Yes, we’re here for the joint arrest operation. Huaxia Police, Xiao Tian.”

”Yu Ningxue.”

”Oh.”

Upon hearing Xiao Tian and Yu Ningxue’s self-introductions, Matsushita Daiku only nodded indifferently, clearly not giving them much regard.

Matsushita Daiku then smirked and said,

”This VIP car is specifically prepared for these three officers. You two should sit in the car behind!”

Following Matsushita Daiku’s gesture, Xiao Tian looked over to see that behind the luxury car meant for the Americans was a dilapidated black van!

The van was completely black and extremely shabby, like a car that had been abandoned for many years and was simply repaired before being put on the road.

If this car were in Shanghai, it wouldn’t even be able to get a license plate!

Seeing Xiao Tian and the others dumbfounded, several surrounding Japanese police officers immediately started to snicker.

A Japanese officer beside them laughed, ”Please, both of you, don’t delay the meeting schedule.”

After the officer finished speaking, he gave a mischievous smile, ”But I’m sorry, the van driver just had an issue and left. I’m afraid you’ll have to drive this vehicle back to the bureau with us.”

”You!” Yu Ningxue looked at the shabby van, who knows what kind of mess it might be inside?

Upon learning that she was going abroad with Xiao Tian this time, she had specifically changed into this dress worth over 30,000.

”This infuriates me, these Japanese treat Americans like their fathers and don’t see us as humans!” Yu Ningxue’s face flushed with anger and she said furiously.

Rather than riding in that shabby van, Yu Ningxue would rather pay for a taxi herself.

”Forget it, after all, we’re not here for a vacation, just bear with it.” Xiao Tian patted Yu Ningxue’s shoulder and said.

”But...”

Yu Ningxue, who originally had an explosive temper, was already disgruntled from dealing with those three Americans in Huaxia, and she didn’t expect to endure more trouble in Japan!

Xiao Tian gave a mysterious smile, ”Don’t worry.”

Then, Xiao Tian and Yu Ningxue boarded the shabby van that was there to ”welcome” them, and true to their expectations, the seats inside were covered with dust. Yu Ningxue took out some tissues she carried and wiped for a long time before sitting down resentfully.

This time, there were three vehicles for picking up the guests. One was a luxury car designated for the Americans, equipped with a minibar, KTV, and a variety of luxurious amenities.

The second was a military jeep used by the police from the Guard Bureau, and the last one was the one Matsushita Daiku had specifically found from a scrapyard, intended to mock the Huaxia police.

The three vehicles slowly left the airport, with the luxury car leading. The military jeep followed behind, and at the back was the black van carrying Xiao Tian and Yu Ningxue.

”Hasn’t this car been abandoned for years?”

Yu Ningxue sat in the car, covering her nose, but even so, a foul smell was unavoidable. It was enough to drive her crazy.

Xiao Tian remained silent as he looked at the car.

Though the Guard Bureau was also in Tokyo, there was still about an hour’s journey from the airport. Soon, the three cars drove onto a mountain road.

Looking at the military jeep slowly moving ahead, a smile suddenly appeared on Xiao Tian’s face.

”Do you have a knife?” Xiao Tian asked while driving.

Yu Ningxue nodded, taking out a silver curved knife from her pocket, a weapon she usually carried for self-defense.

”What do you plan to do?” Yu Ningxue handed the knife to Xiao Tian and asked.

Xiao Tian chuckled, ”Just wait and see!”

Saying that, Xiao Tian stepped on the accelerator. Since the jeep ahead was following the luxury lead car, the speed wasn’t fast. Xiao Tian quickly closed in to within five or six meters behind the jeep.

Xiao Tian opened the window and squinted, aiming at the vehicle in front.

”Shoo!”

With a swift flick of his sleeve, the curved knife shot out like a bullet.

Thud.

A cracking sound followed. The curved knife directly pierced the fuel tank of the military jeep carrying Matsushita Daiku and his entourage.

Xiao Tian’s throw carried hidden power. As soon as the knife struck the fuel tank, a greater force exploded forth, bursting the tank open like a bullet, leaving a large hole.

The curved knife in Xiao Tian’s hand punctured the jeep’s fuel tank, causing gasoline to gush out like a fountain. The jeep resembled a wounded tiger, leaving a trail of fuel behind it.

Seeing this, Xiao Tian chuckled a few times mischievously. Then he increased the car’s speed, creating more distance from the military jeep ahead.

At this moment, the convoy had already driven onto a mountain road. Matsushita Daiku in the jeep was apparently unaware that the fuel tank had been punctured. He was in the car mocking Xiao Tian and Yu Ningxue, the two Huaxia police officers.

”What’s that smell?”

As they conversed, a Japanese police officer suddenly sniffed the air and asked.

”Hmm...there has been a smell for a while now.”

Matsushita Daiku had noticed a strange smell a few minutes ago but hadn’t paid it much attention. He didn’t expect it to grow stronger, resembling gasoline...mixed with a smoky odor.

”What’s going on?” Matsushita Daiku frowned, feeling a bit uneasy.

Just then, a Japanese officer in the back seat suddenly shouted out loudly, ”Deputy Director...our car is on fire!!”
