God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 239: Chapter 357: Let’s Begin!

Before the operation, He Hong and his team had already figured out the internal structure of the entire Intelligence Science Building and the vault where the documents were stored.

So after entering the building, the teams split up to carry out their missions. Their target was the vault inside the building.

It was nighttime, and a sliver of moonlight seeped in, creating a reflection on the floor.

Each team held portable communication devices, enabling them to quickly regroup in case of special circumstances.

He Hong and his men cautiously made their way to the second floor of the intelligence department, not daring to make a sound.

Even though they came with the resolve that they might not come back alive, stealing the documents directly would undoubtedly be the best result, avoiding unnecessary casualties.

They slowly approached the vault in the corner of the second floor. There were no windows in the entire vault, sealed off by a black iron door.

”Let’s begin!” He Hong whispered to the lock-picking expert beside him.

At this moment, the air was eerily quiet. The lock-picking expert nodded, took out his toolkit, and approached the iron door. Just as he was about to act, a sudden ”buzz” of an electronic alarm sound echoed around them.

The group instantly shuddered, alertly scanning their surroundings.

The alarm went off, followed by crisscrossing infrared beams. The beams formed a cutting pattern, densely covering the area like a spider web. The entire hall immediately glowed red.

With such a meticulously laid-out infrared scan, despite their exceptional skills, the group was eventually caught by one of the beams.

In an instant, the lights in the entire hall turned on. The empty hall echoed with sirens blaring.

”East corner of the second floor, gather, attack!!”

The Japanese were evidently prepared. It seemed impossible to sneak through now. He Hong pulled out a walkie-talkie and directly commanded.

In less than two minutes, the other two elite teams joined He Hong. The group held guns, cautiously watching their surroundings.

”Hahaha, foolish Huaxia People. Haven’t you learned from the last lesson?”

At that moment, a burst of arrogant laughter echoed through the hall. The Huaxia elite frowned deeply upon hearing it.

Soon after, the elevator doors on the sides of the hall slowly opened. A group of black-clad Japanese agents poured into the hall, each holding a firearm. They were numerous, quickly surrounding the Huaxia elite completely.

The leader of the Japanese team was a section chief of the intelligence department, named Feng Yuanlong. It was Feng Yuanlong who had severely injured Zhanhong and killed several Huaxia operatives during the last attack on the intelligence department.

Seeing these Huaxia people still unwilling to give up trying to retrieve the documents, the smile on Feng Yuanlong’s face grew even more pronounced.

Because, in his eyes, the people before him were already as good as dead.

Seeing the situation unfolding, He Hong knew a bloody battle was imminent. He turned to the lock-picking expert and whispered, ”We’ll cover you with all our might; you must find the documents!”

The lock-picking expert nodded solemnly upon hearing this.

Feng Yuanlong waved his hand coldly, giving an order.

”Fire, kill them all!”

”Bang bang bang bang bang bang.”

At that moment, Feng Yuanlong suddenly noticed the lock-picking expert using a specialized, precise instrument to unlock the door. His eyes lit up as he directly pointed at the lock-picking expert.

”Kill him, don’t let him unlock it!!”

”Team leader, the two brothers responsible for communications have been killed. We’re now in a situation where we’ve lost contact with the outside!”

At this time, another similarly injured elite member spoke in a heavy tone. Losing contact with the outside meant losing reinforcements and rescue!

He Hong gritted his teeth and asked, ”How’s the expert doing with the lock?”

”It’s done! He’s looking for the documents inside!!” A member behind him exclaimed in surprise. He Hong was overjoyed; as long as they could get the documents, contacting Huaxia would not be a problem!

Seeing the Huaxia elite had opened the vault door, Feng Yuanlong was utterly shocked. The vault door was anti-theft equipment developed by countless advanced technology experts in Japan over a year!

”Alright! We’ve got it!!!”

A minute later, the lock-picking expert, beaming with happiness, came out holding a briefcase. His face was filled with joy, ”That’s right! Just as the commander told me, and there’s also Japanese military data!”

”Good!”

He Hong was also filled with excitement. After all this struggle, they finally had the documents back in their hands! He had fulfilled the mission entrusted to him by his homeland!

But since this was Japanese territory after all, they couldn’t stay long. He immediately said, ”Take the wounded brothers, and follow me!”

Subsequently, the Huaxia elite dragged their injured bodies and jumped out of the nearby window, leaving the building of the intelligence department under the cover of darkness.

After the Huaxia elite left, Feng Yuanlong shakily took out his phone and dialed his superior’s number.

”Section chief... I’m sorry, the documents have been taken!”

Feng Yuanlong’s voice was faltering, not even daring to breathe heavily.

”What???” The section chief on the other end of the line was furious, smashing their cup onto the ground, ”Did I not tell you to transfer the documents earlier??”

”I...” Feng Yuanlong’s face was full of bitterness, feeling as if he wanted to die, ”I didn’t expect these Huaxia people to be able to open the vault...”

”You’re courting death!!!”

The documents involved high-level Japanese officials. The Japanese high-level had repeatedly urged for prompt submission, and now the documents had returned to the hands of the Huaxia People. If higher-ups found out, could his position still be secure?

The section chief’s tone was extremely icy, saying coldly, ”You will pay the price for your arrogance. If the documents are not retrieved and the blame falls on us, I’ll throw you into the sea to feed the fish!”

The anger in that tone made Feng Yuanlong feel cold to his bones.

**

At ten o’clock at night, the streets of Tokyo, Japan, were quiet and dark. Even though it was midsummer, a chill wind still swept through the streets at this time.

On this street, He Hong and a group of Huaxia elite quickly fled the intelligence department building, supporting each other. Some were carrying injured companions. Everyone present was wounded to varying degrees, covered in scars.

In the night, their silhouettes appeared extremely lonely and helpless.

At this point, they had completely lost contact with the top. Without a meeting from the top, escaping Japan was nothing but a pipe dream.

They had exchanged their lives to retrieve the documents and had no combat capability left. If discovered by the Japanese, a dead end awaited them.

Just when everyone was in despair. He Hong suddenly thought of a name.

Xiao Tian!
