Dawn Experiment

# Day 13 - 8:50

Aida preferred to start the day with the scent of lemongrass and jasmine, not roses, but today was a special case. She floated two handfuls of pink petals in the tub and watched them orbit the submerged jets, then flicked on the heater and let the steam curl up the tiled wall. Every three minutes, she checked the timer. Routine was comfort, and comfort was a weapon.

On the main table, she stacked three towels, edge to edge, all branded with the Oasis crest. Mei-Lin unfolded a soft white robe at the foot, then laid out a tray of glass vials—jojoba, sweet almond, a custom blend with ylang-ylang. She surveyed the arrangement, arms crossed, head cocked.

“Do you think she’ll even notice?” Mei-Lin asked, voice low.

Aida thumbed the cap off the biggest vial and sniffed. “She’ll notice if we fuck up. Otherwise, no.” She scanned the checklist on the wall panel, double-checking Elena’s preferences. The woman liked heat, oils, and as much touch as possible, but always started with a bath. Also: hated small talk, would not tolerate being rushed.

The rest of the prep was muscle memory. They dimmed the lighting, checked the air temp (28C, exactly), and wiped every touch surface with a disposable. Mei-Lin swabbed the intake on the air filter for a second time, then straightened the edges of the tablecloth. At the last minute, Aida swapped the towels—she knew Elena would pick at the uneven hem.

“Why do you do it?” Mei-Lin asked. “The extras, I mean. They wouldn’t know the difference.”

Aida paused, picking her words. “Because when it’s your body on the line, the small things matter. You start with the luxury. It distracts from the loss.”

Mei-Lin nodded, lips pursed. She lingered by the doorway, arms folded, half-hoping for a compliment. Aida knew this but let it pass. Compliments were currency, and she was short on reserves.

The chime sounded: five minutes early. Aida tensed, but before she could check the security camera, the door swung open.

Not Elena.

Vivienne entered like a storm bottled in cashmere. She wore a navy pencil skirt and a high-collared white blouse, hair perfectly twisted into a low knot, not a strand out of place. She carried nothing but a tablet and the weight of her own agenda.

“Sorry,” Vivienne said, as if announcing the start of a conference, “but Elena’s not coming.”

Mei-Lin bristled. “She was on the schedule. She confirmed.”

Vivienne gave a small smile, half contrition, half mischief. “She changed her mind. I… handled her.”

Aida set the oil down. “Handled?”

Vivienne nodded, a hint of color in her cheeks. “She’s stable. Viral load is lower than the safe line now. She can skip a session.” She placed the tablet on the massage table, where it blinked with a chart: two lines, both green.

Mei-Lin stepped forward, ready to contest, but Aida shook her off with a slight tilt of the head. “Why are you here?”

Vivienne shrugged off her blazer, laid it on the empty robe hook. “I need to see the full protocol. With you.” She hesitated, as if waiting for permission to continue. “I’ve only ever done this with men. It’s… efficient, but not elegant. If I’m going to assist the team, I want to learn from the best. You.”

There was no sarcasm, just intent.

Aida’s gaze hardened as she assessed the intrusion. ”The schedule exists for those in medical distress,” she said, voice clipped. ”Not for impromptu training sessions.” She tapped her finger against the tablet’s edge, the soft rhythm betraying her irritation.

Vivienne’s lips twitched. “If you want, we can wait another week. But I thought you preferred a volunteer over a conscript.”

Silence. The steam in the air pulsed, then broke.

Mei-Lin looked to Aida, who nodded once. “Go,” she said. “Prep for the next patient. I’ll handle this one.”

Mei-Lin looked briefly annoyed, then gathered the towels and slipped out, closing the door a little too firmly behind her.

Aida circled the table, folding her arms. “You could have just asked.”

Vivienne’s composure wavered. “I thought you’d say no. Last time, you almost did.”

Aida grunted. “That was before I saw you work. You’re persistent.”

Vivienne exhaled, tension leaking from her posture. “I want to get this right.”

Aida drew the curtains, checked the soundproofing, then returned to the table. “We have forty-five minutes. Are you ready?”

Vivienne unbuttoned her blouse, methodical, never breaking eye contact. “I am.” She folded the blouse, then shimmied out of the skirt, laying each piece with the kind of precision usually reserved for ceremonial uniforms. Her bra and underwear were a matching set—cream, delicate lace, almost scandalously sheer. She set them aside, then took the robe and wrapped herself, cinching the waist with a practiced flick.

Aida respected the efficiency. “You can use the shower, if you want.”

Vivienne shook her head. “I’m clean. Let’s just do it.”

Aida gestured to the tub, her voice cool and detached. “In.”

Vivienne dropped the robe, exposing herself to the heat, then stepped over the lip of the tub. She slid into the water, flinched, then relaxed as the heat enveloped her. The petals clung to her skin, framing the lines of her body in pink spirals. Aida knelt by the side, her expression unreadable, and checked the temperature with a hand, then pressed two fingers to Vivienne’s wrist. “Pulse is up,” she noted, her tone almost accusatory.

Vivienne tried for a smile, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “Nerves.”

Aida nodded sharply. “It’s normal. Take a deep breath.”

Vivienne obeyed, inhaling, but her shoulders remained tense.

Aida scooped a handful of water, poured it over Vivienne’s scalp, and began to massage it in, her touch firm but impersonal. “Start with the scalp,” she explained, her voice clinical. “It triggers the right nerves. Some women go years without anyone touching their heads.”

Vivienne closed her eyes, surrendering, but her voice held a hint of defiance. “It feels good,” she admitted, her voice smaller than usual.

Aida worked her hands over Vivienne’s scalp, slow and even, then ran her nails lightly down the nape. Vivienne shivered, then leaned into the touch, her body language at odds with the tension in her voice.

Aida let the silence grow, then abruptly asked, “Why do you really want this? You’re not at risk.”

Vivienne’s eyes stayed closed, her voice tight. “I want to be useful. To the team. To Zhao. If we’re going to survive, we can’t just rely on him. It’s not sustainable. We have to be better.”

Aida poured another stream of water, her expression skeptical. “You think you can be better than him?”

Vivienne laughed, almost bitter. “No. But I can be better than I was. If I’m going to lead, I need to know what it’s like for everyone else.”

Aida set down the pitcher, her voice challenging. “That’s not how most people see you.”

Vivienne looked up, eyes sharp, guarded. “How do you see me?”

Aida considered, then said bluntly, “You’re a survivor. But you’re not honest with yourself.”

Vivienne’s lips quirked, a hint of irritation in her voice. “That’s why I came here.”

Aida dipped a sponge in the water, then squeezed it over Vivienne’s shoulders, letting it cascade down her arms. “You want to know what women want?” she asked, her voice flat, almost confrontational. “Most don’t even know themselves. You have to teach them how to feel it.”

Vivienne studied the tile, thinking, her jaw set. “That’s not in the training modules.”

Aida smirked, her voice edged with sarcasm. “That’s because the training modules were written by men.”

Vivienne’s laughter was genuine, softer, but her eyes remained guarded. “You’re not like them.”

Aida reached for the bottle of oil, poured a bead into her palm, then rubbed her hands together. “Next, you need to start with the hands,” she said, almost narrating, her touch professional but distant. She reached into the tub, took Vivienne’s right hand, and began to knead the palm, working the oil into each line, every joint.

Vivienne’s breath slowed, her fingers twitching with each pass, but her body remained tense.

Aida worked both hands, then switched to the forearms, then the shoulders. She traced each muscle, learning the texture of Vivienne’s skin, her touch clinical.

“It’s like a map,” Vivienne murmured, her voice tense.

Aida nodded, her voice cool. “Every woman is different. What works for one won’t work for another. The trick is to explore.”

Vivienne studied her own hands, almost surprised by the sensitivity, her expression guarded. “I never thought of it that way.”

Aida shrugged, her voice dismissive. “Most people don’t.” She set the oil down. “Stand up.”

Vivienne rose, water sluicing off her body, her movements stiff. Aida wrapped her in a towel, then dried her off with brisk, businesslike efficiency. She guided Vivienne to the table, had her lie face down, then began the real work.

She started at the base of the neck, using her thumbs to loosen every knot of tension, her touch firm but impersonal. “Do you feel that?” she asked, her voice challenging.

Vivienne’s voice was muffled by the towel, but clear, guarded. “Yes.”

Aida dug deeper, working the traps, the shoulders, then down the spine. She alternated between soft and hard pressure, always watching for reaction, her expression unreadable. At the lower back, Vivienne tensed, then sighed as the muscles released, her body language at odds with the tension in her voice.

Aida moved to the legs, starting with the calves, then up to the thighs. Her thumbs found the hollow behind each knee, circling with practiced precision before tracing upward to where leg met torso. When she applied pressure to that sensitive junction, Vivienne’s breath caught—a sound barely audible yet unmistakable in the quiet room. Aida’s expression remained detached, though her hands worked with deliberate authority.

She paused, let Vivienne feel the pause, her voice cool. “Turn over.”

Vivienne complied, her face flushed a deep red, hair disheveled against the terry cloth. She gazed up at Aida, pupils dilated, waiting with bated breath, her expression guarded.

Aida drizzled a fresh line of oil onto Vivienne’s sternum, then spread it with gentle, circular motions, her touch professional. She worked her way down the gentle slope of Vivienne’s breastbone, across the trembling plane of her abdomen, and finally to the sensitive hollow where thigh met hip, maintaining a deliberate pace that caught every involuntary response while revealing nothing of her own thoughts.

Vivienne closed her eyes, surrendering completely, her breath becoming more ragged, her body tense.

Aida’s voice was soft yet firm, her words almost confrontational. “Most women need a story. Something to make the body want to follow the mind.”

Vivienne’s lips parted slightly, her voice tense. “What’s yours?”

Aida considered, then bent low, whispering, her voice edged with challenge. “Survival. Every touch is proof we’re still here.”

She ran her hands down Vivienne’s sides, tracing the ribs, the hollow of the waist, her touch clinical but firm. She cupped the breasts, feeling their weight settle into her palms like ripe fruit, warm and yielding. Her oil-slicked thumbs traced deliberate circles around the areolas, watching as the skin pebbled and the nipples stiffened to hard peaks against the cool air. Her expression remained a mask of professional detachment, though her eyes tracked every minute reaction with clinical precision.

Vivienne gasped, but didn’t move, her body tense with anticipation, her breath coming in short gasps.

Aida watched her face, noting the tension in the jaw, the rapid flutter of the pulse in the neck, her expression cool.

“More?” Aida asked, her voice barely above a whisper, with an edge that demanded response.

Vivienne nodded, unable to speak, her breath coming in short gasps, her body tense.

With practiced precision, Aida’s hands traveled downward, gently easing Vivienne’s legs apart before her fingers worked methodically along the sensitive skin of her inner thighs. She worked closer, but didn’t touch the center. Not yet. “Anticipation is half the battle,” she said, almost clinically, her voice cool. “You have to make them want it.”

Vivienne squirmed, her breath shaky, her body tense. “I want it.”

Aida smiled, then brushed a single finger along the outer lips, tracing the length before circling the clit, her touch clinical but firm. She didn’t press; just circled, then retreated, then circled again, her expression unreadable.

Vivienne’s hips lifted, chasing the touch, her body arching with need, her breath coming in short gasps.

Aida applied the faintest pressure with her fingertip, her eyes meeting Vivienne’s with quiet authority. “Never too hard. Let them ask for it.”

Vivienne arched higher, her hips begging for more, her body tense.

Aida’s fingers found their rhythm—precise, methodical pressure followed by deliberate absence, then return—maintaining the detached efficiency of a surgeon despite the intimate terrain. Vivienne moaned, the sound quiet but intense, her body tense.

Aida leaned in, lips to Vivienne’s ear, her voice a low murmur, almost confrontational. “You think you’re the only one who needs him?”

Vivienne shook her head, eyes squeezed shut, her body trembling, her breath coming in short gasps.

Aida pressed two fingers inside, slow and careful. Vivienne’s whole body shuddered, and suddenly, she climaxed, her body convulsing as she squirted, the liquid gushing out, her breath coming in short gasps.

Aida leaned down, her tongue tracing a deliberate path through the clear, viscous fluid, her voice a low murmur, almost confrontational. ”It’s the real thing, not pee, slightly sweet, almost like coconut water.” Aida then lowered her mouth between Vivienne’s thighs, her tongue making deliberate contact, her voice a low murmur, almost challenging. ”The salt comes first, then something sweeter underneath.” She drew back slightly, her breath warm on Vivienne’s skin, her voice cool. ”Every woman tastes different—yours is like sea air and vanilla.” She returned to her demonstration, each practiced movement drawing small, involuntary shivers from Vivienne’s frame as her fingers tangled in the sheets, knuckles white with tension, her breath coming in short gasps.

Aida guided Vivienne onto her hands and knees, positioning her so the light caught the curves of her body, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”Turn over, I need to see all of you.” Vivienne complied, her skin flushed with anticipation, her breath coming in short gasps, her body tense. Aida’s oil-slicked fingers traced the delicate valley of her spine, continuing downward until they reached the tight rosebud between her cheeks, precise yet intimate. She circled it with deliberate pressure, each rotation drawing tighter gasps from Vivienne, her breath coming in short gasps, before slowly pressing inward to find that hidden, electric place that made Vivienne’s back arch like a drawn bow, her body tense.

Vivienne’s climax erupted when Aida’s fingers found their rhythm—two curling expertly inside while two others pressed deeper behind, her movements precise yet purposeful. Her body seized around both intrusions, back arching impossibly high off the table as waves of pleasure crashed through her, her breath coming in short gasps. A strangled cry tore from her throat, followed by a glistening release that caught the light as it spilled across the sheets, her body tense.

Aida eased off, then held Vivienne until the shaking stopped. As she cradled the younger woman’s trembling form, Aida’s fingers traced the perfect curve where Vivienne’s waist flared into hip—that golden ratio men seemed programmed to pursue. She inhaled subtly, catching the intoxicating scent that still clung to Vivienne’s flushed skin despite their exertions. Blonde hair spilled across the sheets like liquid gold, framing features so symmetrical they seemed almost artificial in their perfection. She understood now, viscerally, why Zhao’s eyes had followed this woman across rooms, why his breath had quickened in her presence. Youth had its own gravity.

They stayed that way, neither speaking, their breaths syncing in the quiet room, the tension between them palpable.

After a minute, Vivienne opened her eyes, glassy and bright, her voice tense. “That was…”

The corner of Aida’s mouth lifted, her eyes glinting with something between approval and dare. “You’ll do fine.”

Vivienne blinked, her lips curving into a smile that cracked through her usual armor—a fleeting glimpse of vulnerability before the walls came back up. “Thank you.”

Aida sat on the edge of the table, oil on her hands, hair wild, her voice cool. “Do you want to try on me?”

Vivienne hesitated, then gave a single, cautious nod, her eyes never leaving Aida’s face.

They traded places. Vivienne was hesitant, uncertain, but eager to follow every instruction, her movements stiff.

”Don’t overthink it,” Aida said, guiding Vivienne’s hands. ”Feel the body beneath your fingers. Listen to what it tells you. But remember—use all your senses. Smell the skin, taste the salt. Your brain will register things your conscious mind misses.”

Vivienne nodded, her brow furrowed in concentration, her movements stiff as she mimicked Aida’s earlier motions. She worked the muscles with growing confidence, tracing the spine, finding places where skin yielded to nerves, her touch clinical but firm. She leaned closer, inhaling the scent of Aida’s skin—jasmine oil mingled with something deeper, muskier.

”There,” Aida whispered when Vivienne found a sensitive spot, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”Notice how the skin flushes? How the scent changes? That’s your map.”

When Vivienne moved to the front, Aida took her hand, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”My breasts are sensitive now—they’ve started lactating. Smell them first—notice the difference?”

Vivienne leaned in, nostrils flaring slightly, her voice tense. ”Sweeter,” she murmured, surprised, her expression guarded.

”Can I...?” Vivienne asked, curiosity overcoming shyness, her voice tense.

Aida nodded, her tone a glacier hiding fire beneath. ”Gently at first. Circle before you touch the nipple directly. Watch for goosebumps—they tell you everything.”

Vivienne cupped the fullness, marveling at its weight before following instructions, her touch clinical but firm. A pearlescent drop appeared at the tip, her expression guarded.

”You can taste,” Aida offered, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”It’s part of knowing another’s body completely. The flavor tells you about health, about readiness.”

Vivienne hesitated, then lowered her mouth, her eyes widened at the sweetness, the slight mineral undertone, her face a mask of careful neutrality.

”Now,” Aida continued, spreading her legs, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”Remember what I showed you about building anticipation? Smell first—it’s the oldest sense, the most honest.”

Vivienne’s touch was tentative at first, searching, her expression guarded. She leaned down, inhaling deeply, her voice tense. ”It’s different here,” she whispered. ”Earthier.”

”That means I’m ready. Like checking a patient’s vitals. Tell me when you find it.”

”You’ll know,” Aida promised, her words carrying an edge of ice beneath their surface. Then gasped when Vivienne’s fingers found the right spot, her breath coming in short gasps. ”There—circle, don’t press too hard. Feel how the texture changes? How the skin heats?”

Vivienne smiled, repeating the motion with growing confidence, noting how Aida’s scent intensified with each touch, her eyes revealing nothing.

”If you want to truly understand pleasure,” Aida said between quickening breaths, her voice cool, almost challenging. ”You need to explore every possibility.” She guided Vivienne’s other hand lower, her voice tense. ”Oil your finger first, then press gently here. Notice how the body responds—the flush spreading down the chest means you’re doing it right.”

Vivienne followed instructions, carefully breaching the tight ring as Aida had shown her earlier, watching intently as Aida’s skin bloomed pink across her chest, her expression guarded.

”Both at once,” Aida instructed, her voice tightening, her breath coming in short gasps. ”That’s how—” Her words dissolved into a moan as Vivienne found the rhythm, her body tense.

Aida’s climax built slowly, a deep wave that finally broke when Vivienne curled her fingers inside while maintaining pressure from behind, her touch clinical but firm. Aida’s breath caught, then exploded in a guttural cry that seemed to come from somewhere primal within her, her body tense. The scent in the room changed—sharper, wilder, her breath coming in short gasps.

When it was over, they lay side by side, sweat and oil and scattered flower petals mingling on their skin, the air heavy with the perfume of their exertion.

Vivienne broke the silence. ”How do we do this?” she asked, voice catching. ”With Zhao. With each other. I’ve spent my whole life competing, not sharing.”

Aida stared at the ceiling, chest still rising and falling with her slowing breath, then turned to face Vivienne. Her eyes were dark pools, ancient with understanding. ”We share. We adapt. We become something new together.”

Vivienne laughed, the sound bright but brittle around the edges. ”That’s the new world? Passing a man between us like a life raft?”

Aida’s finger traced the hollow of Vivienne’s collarbone. ”No,” she whispered. ”The old world was all about what’s mine versus what’s yours. Those borders are ash now.” She pressed her palm flat against Vivienne’s sternum. ”This heart beating—that’s what matters. Everything else is negotiable.”

Vivienne sat up, still naked, skin flushed and gleaming. ”I’ve spent my life seeing other women as competition,” she confessed, voice cracking slightly. ”Like there wasn’t enough to go around. Even now, I catch myself thinking of him as something to possess.”

”We can’t afford those luxuries anymore,” Aida said, fingers brushing against Vivienne’s but not quite interlacing. ”Survival means we share everything—food, safety, pleasure. Even him.”

”And each other?” Vivienne asked, something vulnerable crossing her face.

Aida nodded. ”That’s the hardest part.” She squeezed Vivienne’s hand once before letting go. ”I won’t pretend I’ve figured it all out either.”

Vivienne looked down at her hands. ”Thank you. For this. For not judging.” She swallowed hard. ”For showing me what’s possible, even if I’m not there yet.”

They dressed in silence, movements careful, deliberate. When they were done, Aida unlocked the door and called for Mei-Lin.

The girl entered, eyebrows high, taking in the scene.

Aida addressed her. ”She’s been shown the basics,” she said, nodding at Vivienne.

Mei-Lin grinned. ”Quite the education today.”

Vivienne’s jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. ”I’ll need to practice more,” she said, fingers flexing at her sides. Her eyes flickered between them with new calculation. ”Next time, I want to show Zhao what I’ve learned. Directly.”

Aida watched them both, her expression thoughtful. ”We need to talk with Zhao,” she said, voice low but certain. ”All of us together. Clear the air.”

”I’d like that,” Vivienne said, then added, ”but I’m not ready today.”

Mei-Lin’s smile softened to something more genuine. ”Nobody’s asking for today.”

They sealed the room, reset the air, and stepped out into the corridor, three women walking slightly apart, each carrying her own unresolved feelings, but moving—however tentatively—in the same direction.

Down the hall, the clock chimed the new hour.

There would be more days like this.

There would be time.
