Dawn Experiment

# Day 11 - 8:43

He pressed the meter to the Captain’s bared arm, thumbed the reset. The number flashed: 69%, then a ruthless 72%, already climbing. The tanned skin beneath the readout had lost its golden hue, now mottled with an ashen undertone.

The sight of Captain Verne—the woman who’d steered them through typhoons and fought back monsters—lying helpless on the deck made Zhao’s stomach drop. ”Stay with me,” he whispered, his voice breaking into something childlike and terrified. Not her. Anyone but her. The Captain’s eyelids fluttered, pupils rolling upward in that unmistakable pre-seizure drift. Her lips clamped tight, jaw twitching with the effort of fighting whatever was happening inside her body. He dropped to his knees beside the woman who’d sacrificed sleep, meals, and her own safety for weeks to keep them all alive. He gripped her face between his hands and patted her cheek hard. ”Captain. Captain, focus. You’re not done yet. We’re not done yet.”

She made a low, animal noise. Her fingers curled, knuckles blanching.

He went to her pockets—every single one, top and bottom, cargo, hidden—searching for the emergency vials, anything, but he knew she didn’t carry them. The protocol was clear: “Save them for those with hope.” His own hands shook as he checked her thigh holster—just a knife, nothing else.

Vivienne hadn’t moved from the doorway. She was frozen, posture elegant even in crisis: back straight, hands at her sides, chin up, but the rest of her was locked in stasis. She looked not at Verne, not at Zhao, but at some invisible point past the wall, as if she’d left her body to escape the moment.

“Vivienne,” Zhao said, more plea than command. “Vivienne, help me.”

That snapped her back. Her eyes refocused, shifting from blank blue to something wild, afraid, and then—almost instantly—calm, like glass smoothing after a storm. She crossed the room in three fast steps, crouched on the other side of Verne’s body, and looked Zhao dead in the face.

“What do you need?” Her voice was cool, even, but a hairline crack ran through it.

He opened his mouth. No words came.

Vivienne made the call herself. She placed her hand on Zhao’s shoulder—steady, no tremble—and unzipped his jumpsuit to the waist, exposing the sweat-wet t-shirt beneath. She pulled the fabric aside, ran her palm up his sternum, and let it settle over his racing heart. “You have to calm down,” she said. “It won’t work otherwise.”

Zhao nearly laughed—calm was impossible, the world was burning, the captain was dying at their feet, and his brain kept replaying every moment she’d saved them all, night after night, with nothing but willpower and the taste for punishment. But Vivienne’s hand was warm, insistent. He tried to match her breathing, deep and slow. It helped, a little.

Vivienne’s other hand reached into his waistband. She was efficient, clinical, but her face betrayed her—eyes darting up to his, then away. She fished his cock out, held it, and frowned.

“It’s not—” she began.

“I know,” he said. “I just—”

She nodded, then looked at him with new resolve. “It’s okay. I can do this.” She took a deep breath, like she was about to go on stage, then bent down and took him in her mouth.

It was wrong, at first—her teeth scraped, her lips pressed too tight, and the angle was off, the dry heat of her mouth unfamiliar and awkward. Zhao grimaced, not from pain but the desperate awareness of time draining out of them both. He gently guided her head, used his hand to adjust the angle, and she followed—quick learner, already easing off on the pressure, using more tongue. Still, he stayed stubbornly soft, his nerves shorted out by terror and exhaustion.

Vivienne tried again, this time with both hands, one cradling his balls and the other stroking the shaft in rhythm. Her pale blonde hair fell over her face, hiding her eyes, but Zhao could feel the heat of her blush through the strands. She paused, looked up at him, and said, “This will be easier if you’re honest with me. What do you need?”

He almost said, “Sleep.” Instead, he whispered, “Maybe—just, let me see you.”

Vivienne hesitated, then set her jaw and pulled her blouse over her head. Her skin was porcelain-smooth, unblemished, the faint blue lines of veins visible at the inner curve of her biceps and down her breastbone. She wore a silk bra, white with scalloped edges, and she undid it herself, hands barely shaking. Her breasts spilled free—full and round as he’d imagined during countless night watches—the weight of them settling perfectly against her slender frame. The nipples were a delicate pink, slightly puffy around the areolas, the youthful firmness of her flesh contrasting with the mature fullness of their shape.

She covered her chest at first, then realized the absurdity of modesty in this context and dropped her arms to her sides. Her breasts barely moved, but her breathing made them tremble. She knelt beside him, pressing herself against his arm, her exposed skin hot where it touched him. “Will this help?” she asked, voice almost a whisper.

Zhao nodded. He apologized for what came next, and she nodded right back, a single sharp gesture. “Do whatever it takes,” she said.

He ran his hand up her back, fingertips exploring the line of her spine, then reached around to cup her breast. It felt impossibly soft, like a living memory of better days. She closed her eyes, lips parted, face turned to the side. He rolled the nipple between finger and thumb, watching her for any sign of regret or pain—none. He slid his other hand down, found the clasp of her skirt, popped it open, and let the fabric fall. Her underwear was white, a matching set, but as he hooked his fingers into the elastic and pulled it down, she tensed for the briefest moment, then relaxed.

He knelt behind her, the space between them awkward and unsteady, and spread her cheeks with both hands. The skin was flawless here too, alabaster-pale in the harsh overhead light, with a single beauty mark like a dark teardrop near the dimple of her right hip. The delicate line of her ass curved down to the tight, untouched slit below, pink and glistening faintly with the first hint of arousal. He caught the clean scent of her expensive soap—something with lavender and vanilla—mingling with the saltier, more primal musk that rose from her body as his thumb pressed between the lips, feeling for moisture. Nothing, at first, but then a subtle heat, a slow bloom of wetness that carried a heady, intimate fragrance as his fingers worked her open.

Vivienne gasped, the sound sharp, but she didn’t move away. She arched her back slightly, making it easier for him. He slipped a finger in—tight, unbelievably tight, and he felt her body clamp down, then shudder in acceptance. He worked in a second finger, slow and careful, then a third. She shook with the effort but kept her arms braced, knuckles white where they gripped the table edge.

He stopped, uncertain. “Is this—your first time?”

Vivienne looked over her shoulder, eyes bright with tears she refused to let fall. “Make it count,” she said. “Please.”

The words hit him like a blow. He remembered his first time—awkward, fumbling, sacred, ruined by fear of doing it wrong—and now here he was, about to do this to someone who’d given him nothing but kindness. He steeled himself, lined up, and pushed in.

The head met resistance, a muscle-tight ring that would not yield. He pressed harder, guiding himself with one hand and her hip with the other. Vivienne whimpered, but didn’t protest. He kept going, slow, steady, until he felt himself break through, the warmth enveloping him. He withdrew a little, then slid in again, deeper this time.

Vivienne bit her arm to keep from screaming.

There was blood. He saw it, but ignored it—no time for gentleness or guilt, not now. He pumped, the friction building as he found his rhythm, the panic in his chest transforming to raw, desperate energy. Vivienne’s body gave up its resistance, and soon he was moving in and out, her breath a series of short, controlled bursts.

He looked down at Captain Verne, lying there between them, eyes flickering, face waxy and gray. The number on the meter: 81%.

He signaled Vivienne, and she nodded, understanding the unspoken plan. She crawled over Verne’s legs, straddling the Captain’s hips, and used both hands to rip open the fly of Verne’s cargo pants. She yanked them down, exposing the tanned, muscular thighs. The skin here was several shades darker than the protected strip where her underwear had been, the tan line sharp as a knife’s edge. Fine silver-blonde hair caught the light against bronze skin, framing her vulva—the contrast striking between her sun-darkened outer flesh and the more delicate pink hidden within, her prominent clitoris gleaming like a pearl against copper.

Vivienne held the Captain’s hips, spread her legs wide, and then reached down to guide Zhao’s cock, now slicked with her own blood and arousal, into Verne’s pussy.

He entered her. She was hot, dry, and impossibly tight, but the lubrication helped. Still, it was not enough—Verne’s body clamped down, every muscle at war with itself, the viral shudder already overtaking her. Vivienne saw the struggle, then did something that would haunt Zhao for years: she slipped her own bloody hand down, gathered a fresh dollop of slickness, and pressed it to the Captain’s vagina, massaging it in, then pushed two fingers inside to work in the makeshift lube.

Verne spasmed, a full-body arch that would have snapped her spine if not for the table. Her eyes rolled back, then slammed shut.

Zhao fucked her, hard, pumping with everything he had left. Vivienne worked frantically at the Captain’s uniform, yanking open brass buttons that scattered across the floor like golden rain. She tugged the crisp white fabric down, exposing Verne’s full breasts—their undersides startlingly pale against the sun-bronzed skin above, the sharp demarcation revealing where her uniform had protected her from the Mediterranean sun. Each breast was crowned with an areola the size of a silver dollar, dark as plums against the contrasting skin. Vivienne cupped them, her slender fingers disappearing into the soft flesh as she traced the boundary between tan and alabaster. She bent low, pressing her lips to Verne’s ear, whispering a stream of French and English and nonsense while her thumbs circled those prominent peaks.

He was close, so close, but the friction, the violence, the guilt—he needed more. Vivienne saw his hesitation and reached down, took his balls in her hand, squeezed—not enough to hurt, just enough to shock. “Do it,” she said, “don’t stop, please, please—”

The sight of their bodies, the salt-tang smell of sweat and fear, the touch of skin against skin, the taste of desperation—it all crashed through him as he mustered every last ounce of strength and climaxed. His confidence surged with his release, a primal certainty that this act meant survival. He collapsed onto Verne, barely catching himself on trembling elbows. Zhao collapsed onto the Captain, still buried inside her. Vivienne remained at the Captain’s back, one hand curved protectively around Verne’s breast, the other gripping Zhao’s shoulder. Her face glistened with tears as she looked down at their joined bodies, a silent witness to their desperate victory.

For a moment, they formed a tableau of exhaustion—a human sandwich of tangled limbs and ragged breath.

Then Zhao saw it: Verne’s chest rising, steady now, her fingers uncurling, color warming her cheeks. The meter read 34%, stable.

He let his gaze drift to Vivienne, searching her face for what came next.

Vivienne turned her head to him. Her eyes were clear now, no trace of the earlier tears, just a bright, wild focus. They locked eyes, communicating in silence: Did we do it? Are we okay? Was this worth it? Zhao managed a weak smile, and she returned it, softer but real.

Then she leaned in, pressed her forehead to his, and kissed him—slow, lingering. In the midst of their connection, Zhao’s mind flashed to the storm-tossed bridge, rain lashing their faces as the infected ship gained on them. Her fingers had interlaced with his then, squeezing with a strength that belied her slender frame. ”You liked me all along, didn’t you?” he whispered against her lips now. Her answer came as a smile that curved against his mouth before she deepened their kiss.

Zhao remained inside Verne, his body curved protectively over hers, their connection unbroken. The Captain’s eyes fluttered open, finding his gaze through the haze. A weak smile crossed her lips. Between them, the warmth of their joined bodies created a pocket of impossible safety. Behind Verne, Vivienne’s arms still encircled them both, her breath steady against the Captain’s neck.

The world beyond their tangled limbs continued to burn. But here, on this hard floor, in this knot of flesh and survival, they had carved out victory from desperation.
