Dawn Experiment

# Day 10 - 20:30

Zhao descended the lower deck’s main corridor, the thrum of the Blue Oasis engines a permanent migraine at the back of his skull. Every step amplified the air’s funk—charred insulation, disinfectant, and the ocean’s endless rot. He’d spent the last twenty minutes prepping himself, revisiting every disaster scenario his brain could conjure, and still he was not ready.

The cabin door loomed at the end, paint peeled, the frame still warped from the owner’s last rampage. The room had been sanitized, stripped down to bare steel bulkheads and exposed ribs, the ceiling gaping open to reveal the yacht’s skeletal framework of welded beams and tangled cable conduits.Outside, four figures waited: Maggie, all business; Saanvi, arms crossed and chin set; Mei-Lin, pale and nervy, eyes fixed to the floor; and, Aida, her hair pulled into a side ponytail that bounced with calculated nonchalance each time she shifted her weight from one hip to the other.

No one spoke. Zhao nodded at them, steeling himself for whatever scene waited inside. Mei-Lin glanced up, and in her eyes Zhao saw the old fear, the unkillable survivor’s panic. Aida caught his glance and offered a flick of the wrist, half-blessing, half-joke. He reached for the door, hesitated, then pushed it open.

Victoria was chained in the dead center of the room, floodlit by a bare bulb. The stagnant heat hit first—a pocket of trapped summer air, baking in the steel chamber like a convection oven. She stood naked, arms above her head, wrists locked into steel cuffs affixed to a heavy-duty chain bolted to the exposed cross-beam. Her feet were flat, but only just; the chain’s tension forced her to stand straight, back arched, the pale gold of her body unmissable against the ruined gray of the room. Below, a second set of cuffs clamped her ankles, the chain tight enough to keep her from bracing or kicking but not so tight as to draw blood. The restraints looked custom—no handcuff pink fuzz or bondage-store flair. This was for criminals or monsters, not the playful cosplay of the owner’s wet dreams.

Her skin was flawless, save for bruises blossoming across her ribs and the faint, healed pucker of an old knife scar above her navel. The lean muscles of her abdomen formed a subtle grid beneath her skin, tensing with each breath. Her thighs, powerful and defined, supported her weight with the coiled readiness of a sprinter. Her pubic mound was completely bare, save for an intricate tattoo—a phoenix in flight, its wings spread protectively over her most intimate area, the tail feathers curling down toward her clitoris, the colors still vibrant against her skin despite whatever hardships she’d endured, the lips below delicate but slightly parted from the stress of her stance. Her breasts, full and high, jutted from a chest framed by sculpted collarbones and the clean lines of pectoral muscle—unignorable, the nipples dark with cold. Her arms and shoulders, mapped with sinew and strength, flexed with every tiny shift, but the position didn’t seem to faze her. She looked bored, more than anything.

Zhao’s brain locked up at the sight. He’d seen stuff like this online, years ago. In porn, the actresses moaned and writhed and it was all choreographed for his pleasure. Here, it felt wrong, dehumanizing. She was a prisoner, a living warning. Not an object to fuck. The guilt and confusion sucker-punched him.

He turned, half-expecting Maggie to explain herself.

She beat him to it: “Her idea. Swear to god.”

Saanvi added, “She didn’t trust our security measures. Said she could get out of a zip tie in under six seconds. She even showed me how to properly secure the cuffs and anchor the chains.”

Mei-Lin whispered, “She called Maggie’s first attempt a ‘baby shower game gone wrong’.”

Victoria didn’t speak, but her lips twitched upward, a quick flash of teeth. Zhao stared, then forced himself to look at Saanvi. “Vitals?”

Saanvi didn’t blink. “Body temp a bit low. Resting pulse at seventy-two. She’s clean, but for the Dawn Meter.” She showed the tablet: Victoria’s meter, still orange, climbing toward the critical. “You’ll need to start within twenty minutes.”

Aida finally spoke, her tone easy, maybe even lazy. “You need advice?”

Zhao’s mouth was dry. “I don’t even know how to—” he gestured at the restraints, helpless.

Aida shrugged. “It’s mostly psychological. Some women find this hot. Some find it terrifying. You have to set the tone. She’s got the upper hand, even now. You’ll see.” She leaned in, voice pitched for just him: “The only risk is if you try to be gentle. She’ll chew you alive if you’re not in character.”

Zhao made himself nod. He looked at Mei-Lin, saw the apology in her eyes, and said: “I’ll need a chaperone, outside the door. For safety.”

Mei-Lin’s lips parted, as if to say sorry again, but she nodded.

He turned to Maggie. “You trust her not to snap my neck?”

Maggie snorted. “If she wanted to kill you, she’d already be wearing your face as a mask. She’s not suicidal anymore. She wants to live.”

That didn’t make him feel better.

He stepped in, closed the door behind him. The click was final. No window in the room. Just him, her, and the old ship’s hum.

He took a long, slow breath, then spoke in a voice he barely recognized: “You comfortable?”

Victoria laughed, full and genuine. “Darling, I’m in paradise. This is the first time since the outbreak I haven’t had to watch my own back.” She tested the chain, giving it a short, sharp jerk. “You have a very professional team. Even the perverts in my last crew would have appreciated the craftsmanship.”

Zhao wanted to apologize, but the joke caught him off guard. He exhaled, tension gone in a rush. “You’ve been in this position before?”

She grinned. “Several times. It’s a classic. Only, usually there’s an audience and a betting pool.”

He let that hang, then took a cautious step closer. She eyed him with the predatory focus of a panther. “You want to check the hardware? I recommend it. Don’t trust a girl just because she’s in chains.”

He reached for her left cuff, examining the lock. It was commercial grade, drilled through and zip-tied for good measure. No way out unless you had the key, or a hacksaw.

Victoria flexed her fingers, showing off the blue veins. “They were worried I’d try to hurt you. Are you worried?”

He considered, then said, “I’m more worried about doing this wrong.”

“Define ‘wrong’,” she said, lips pursed.

He looked at her, then said: “Without your consent. Or in a way that makes things worse.”

She shrugged, a difficult gesture in her position. “You have my full consent. In fact, I’d be disappointed if you were anything but thorough.” She lifted her chin, as if expecting a blow. “They told you about the protocol?”

Zhao nodded. “I have to get you off. Then keep you there, until the meter drops.”

She smirked, amused. “That’s the idea. But it’s not a race. You’ll need to break me in.”

He stepped closer, took in the details: her scent was oceanic, but clean—decon soap and something mineral. Her skin was hot to the touch, sun-warmed like a stone baking all day in summer heat, but somehow dry despite the sweltering room. He put his hand on her waist, feeling the flex of muscle underneath. She didn’t flinch.

“You said you’ve done this before.”

Her eyes met his, wide and green and unexpectedly gentle. “You have no idea what went on in that other boat. This is just foreplay compared to that.”

She let that settle, then added: “Can I ask you something? About your ship. The Blue Oasis.”

He nodded, hand still resting on her hip.

“What’s it like? Having a harem? Are they nice to you, or is it more like a labor camp?”

He laughed, startled. “If it’s a harem, I’m the eunuch. They run the place. I just do what I’m told, and sometimes they let me eat.”

She smiled. “That’s better than ours. The men on Victoria were worse than the virus. Their ‘harem’ was a contest—who could break you, who could last longer, who could leave a better mark.” Her face was still open, but Zhao felt the sting in the words.

He wanted to say sorry, but she didn’t give him the chance.

“Anyway. Let’s get on with it. You don’t need to be gentle. I like it rough.” She bit her lower lip, and for a moment Zhao saw the nervousness behind the bravado. “Just… make it count, yeah?”

He nodded, then ran his hand up her ribs, careful to avoid the bruises. She sighed, the sound half-mock, half-relief. His pulse quickened, a warmth spreading through him that wasn’t just arousal but something more complicated—the relief of connection after weeks of isolation.

Zhao noticed how she tensed at first contact, then gradually yielded beneath his fingers. He wondered when she’d last been touched with anything resembling tenderness. Not since the Victoria, certainly. Her skin told a story his hands could read—months of isolation written in the way she shivered at even his lightest caress. Something shifted in her expression as he continued, a guarded vulnerability that made him wonder if she was rediscovering what touch could mean when it wasn’t a prelude to violence.

”Most men start with the tits,” she said, almost wistful. ”You can if you want.”

He did, cupping the left breast, feeling the weight. The softness against his palm made his breath catch, a stark contrast to the hard edges of survival they’d been navigating. He thumbed the nipple, watching it rise to attention, his own body responding in kind. There was something oddly comforting in this simple biological reaction—two bodies speaking the same language when words had failed them all. He bent down and took it in his mouth, tasting salt and humanity. She made a small, surprised noise, then rolled her shoulder forward, presenting more for him. The gesture of trust loosened something in his chest. He bit gently, then harder, and she moaned, the sound traveling straight through him, making him feel, for the first time in weeks, like he wasn’t just surviving but alive.

She guided him with soft commands, her voice dropping to a teacher’s intimate tone. ”That’s it. Right there. Make me feel it.”

He alternated as instructed, sucking and biting, marking her with lips and teeth. Each approving gasp loosened the knot in his chest. When he moved down her abdomen, she tensed, then relaxed as he licked the scar. ”Ukraine,” she whispered, her casual story-sharing making this feel almost normal. ”Long story.”

He knelt, hand on her thigh. Her legs were trembling, not from fear, but from holding herself upright. The trembling felt like permission itself. He slid his palm along her inner thigh, pausing at the seam between leg and sex. Her lips were flushed, the inner ones already moist. He glanced up, needing one final confirmation.

She nodded, absolving him with three simple words: ”Go on. It’s yours.”

He buried his face, licking up the length of her slit, then back down, slow and exploratory. She tasted like the ocean at high tide—salt and mystery with undertones of sweet musk that bloomed across his tongue, making his mouth water for more. He circled her clit with his tongue, then lapped at it in steady, even strokes. Her hands clenched into fists above her, muscles straining against the chains.

“Fuck,” she said, voice raw. “You’re actually good at that.”

He grinned into her flesh, then upped the pressure. She started to rock, humping the air as much as the chains would allow. The cuffs creaked, metal biting into her wrists, but she didn’t care.

He fingered her, two at first, then three. She took them all, her body greedy and eager.

“More,” she breathed. “Harder.”

He obliged, twisting his fingers inside, pushing upward against her wall. He remembered a trick Aida had shown him: hook and press, not just in and out. He tried it, and Victoria screamed—a sharp, high sound that echoed off the steel.

“Yes,” she said, “just like that.”

He kept at it, relentless, until she came. It was sudden, a wave that broke her body in a full spasm. Her feet left the floor, legs quaking. She came again, then again, her breath ragged, sweat now rolling down the curve of her back.

When he pulled away, his hand and mouth were coated. He stood, wiped his lips, then looked at her.

Her eyes were glassy, unfocused. She smiled, dazed. “God, I needed that.”

He took a step back, not sure what came next.

Victoria answered for him: “You’re supposed to fuck me now.”

He hesitated. “Is that what you want?”

She gave him the old, wicked smile. “If you don’t, they’ll probably send Maggie in to finish the job. You want to be upstaged by a cop?”

He laughed, tension gone. He stripped, his shirt sticking to his sweat-slicked back as he peeled it off in the stifling heat of the cabin. He was half-hard already, but the sight of her—trembling, still hungry—finished the job.

He stepped between her legs, and she looked down at his cock, then up at him. “No offense, but I’ll need some lube. Otherwise, you’ll tear me open.”

He found the tube on the chair by the wall—Saanvi had thought of everything. He slicked himself, then lined up.

Victoria scoffed, a half-smile playing at the corner of her mouth. ”The front? That’s for amateurs,” she said, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. She turned slightly, presenting her back. ”Everyone knows the treatment’s more effective when you take the service entrance.” She turned slightly, presenting the taut curves of her backside—two perfect half-moons, high and firm against her narrow waist. The skin there was unmarked, almost luminescent in the cabin’s dim light, with a subtle dimple above each cheek where muscle met bone.

He blinked, then said, ”Are you sure?”

She grinned, muscles flexing beneath that flawless skin, creating a momentary shadow in the cleft between. ”You think I’m not tough enough? Go on, hero. You can’t hurt me.”

He circled her puckered opening with his slick fingers, feeling the tight ridges and delicate folds beneath his touch. The ring of muscle twitched and contracted against his fingertip, resistant yet responsive. When he pressed one digit inside, her body gripped him with velvet heat, the narrow passage clenching then gradually relaxing as if drawing him deeper. He added a second finger, feeling her stretch and pulse around him, the tight ring now softening, opening with an eager tension that seemed to hunger for more fullness than his fingers could provide.

When she nodded her readiness, he positioned himself and pressed forward. The tight ring of muscle resisted momentarily before accepting him with a velvet grip that pulled a gasp from his throat. The heat enveloped him completely, her body clenching and releasing as she adjusted to his size.

He established a rhythm—tentative at first, then with growing confidence as her encouragement spurred him on. The chains clinked softly with each movement, a metallic counterpoint to their ragged breathing. ”Deeper,” she commanded, voice strained. ”Yes, like that—don’t you dare stop—”

He felt the orgasm build in his spine, up through his chest, a current of electricity gathering force. He tried to hold back, but Victoria sensed it, squeezing down hard, her muscles tensing and relaxing around him in a rhythm that felt like secret communication—a code only they understood in this moment. Each contraction seemed deliberate, purposeful, drawing him deeper into her body and consciousness.

He came with a shout that surprised him, the sensation so sharp he almost blacked out, his vision narrowing to a pinpoint of white light. Inside her, he felt completely known.

When he finished, he didn’t pull away. Instead, he slumped against her back, his arms wrapping around her waist, their bodies still joined. They stayed like that, both panting, her chains now the only thing keeping them both upright. The absurdity wasn’t lost on him—a top-grade killer and a college student, locked together in the aftermath of pleasure while the world burned outside. Yet something had shifted between them, something elemental.

After a minute, she laughed, the sound unexpectedly gentle. He felt the vibration of it pass from her body into his, stirring something primal he hadn’t expected. ”You’re a natural,” she whispered, and he heard something new in her voice—not just approval, but recognition.

He reluctantly stepped back, cleaned himself up as best he could, his fingers lingering on the wet cloth. The porn he’d watched back in his dorm room hadn’t prepared him for this—the raw intimacy, the way her eyes had locked with his. He wanted to unlock her, to continue whatever wordless conversation their bodies had started, but protocol said wait for Maggie. He glanced at Victoria again, certain this wouldn’t be their last time alone together.

He dressed, his fingers fumbling with buttons, then knocked on the door.

Maggie entered, took in the scene, then nodded approval. ”You alive?”

Victoria grinned. ”Better than alive.”

Maggie checked the restraints, then started to unlock her. ”Captain Verne wants to see you both. Now.”

Victoria rolled her eyes. ”Always the bureaucrat.”

Maggie freed the wrists first, then the ankles. Victoria staggered, then caught herself, stretching her arms overhead with a feline grace that belied her exhaustion.

Captain Verne was waiting in the corridor, flanked by Aida and Saanvi. Her weathered face revealed nothing as she assessed Victoria with cold precision.

”Well?” Verne asked, directing the question at no one in particular.

Saanvi consulted her tablet. ”Hormone levels stabilizing. Dawn meter down sixty percent.”

”And the psychological component?” Verne pressed.

Victoria met the captain’s gaze. ”I want to live. I’ll earn my keep.”

”That’s what they all say,” Verne replied, unmoved. ”Maggie?”

”She didn’t try to break the restraints. Not once.”

Verne circled Victoria slowly. ”If I release you, what’s to stop you from slitting our throats while we sleep?”

”Logic,” Victoria answered, running a hand through her damp hair. ”I need you. All of you.” Her eyes flicked to Zhao. ”Some more than others.”

Verne circled her again, calculating. ”And if Maggie decides you’re a threat? Or if Aida refuses to work with you?”

Victoria’s gaze swept over the assembled women. ”Then I adapt. That’s what survivors do.” She tilted her head. ”Interesting setup you have here. Democratic? Or just the illusion of choice?”

”We vote on matters of survival,” Verne said flatly. ”Everything else is my call.”

Victoria nodded, something like respect crossing her features. ”First boat I’ve been on that doesn’t feel like a floating coffin. Almost feels like...” she paused, searching for the word, ”...hope.”

Verne’s mouth twitched—almost a smile. ”Welcome to Blue Oasis security. Provisional status.” She turned to Zhao. ”Good work.”

He nodded, mind still calculating the risks of Victoria with a month of freedom, a week of trust, and now a captain’s approval.

As they walked away, Victoria’s golden hair swinging with each confident stride, Zhao felt something unfamiliar bloom in his chest: hope.
