Medic Martial Dragon King

Chapter 676: Chapter 676 Are You So Weak?_1

”I have no idea, just got back from a mission and got sent here. They said it wasn’t appropriate to send an old man to protect a young person, but damn it, we are the eight young top experts of the organization, and they send us for this job. Who the hell is this guy?”

Lin Feng muttered with dissatisfaction.

Xia Yu laughed lightly, ”Don’t flatter yourself. What eight young top experts? The true young top experts are the five ’Semi-Innate’ masters representing metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.”

”They’re five freaks, Ma De, not even thirty and already Semi Innate Grand Masters. We humans can’t compare with them!” Lin Feng’s face was casual, but his eyes revealed a hint of envy.

”Right, you haven’t told me who we are supposed to protect. I heard that all eight of us were sent, plus a Semi-Innate to protect five women?” Lin Feng spoke up again.

Xia Yu whispered, ”We are to protect the women related to the chief instructor of the Dragon Tooth Special Combat Team. Among the five, three are his women, one is his sister, and Sister Zhu is protecting his mother. Mr. Jiang, the chief instructor, has developed a training method that’s very important for the troops. After submitting the method, he asked for the protection of these five women.”

”Wait a minute! The chief instructor of Dragon Tooth? Three women? This, this is a matter of principle!” Lin Feng exclaimed in astonishment.

Xia Yu gave Lin Feng a white look, ”What’s this about principles? Mr. Jiang, the chief instructor, isn’t really a soldier by principle, he’s a businessman. But because of his exceptional abilities, he was specially appointed as the chief instructor of Dragon Tooth.”

”Oh? Is that so? In that case, this Mr. Jiang, the chief instructor, must be pretty skilled. I’ll have to spar with him when the opportunity arises and see what level he’s at!” Lin Feng’s eyes still betrayed a hint of reluctance.

Xia Yu glanced at Lin Feng and shook her head gently. She was also somewhat reluctant. They were the elite of their organization, yet they were assigned to such a task. She also wanted to know what abilities Mr. Jiang had and what cultivation technique he had researched that made the higher-ups value it so much.

”Hurry up, Ma De! I want to see who the hell has the guts to attack Mr. Jiang’s home in Jinhai. They must really be tired of living!” An urgent voice rang out, as a convoy of over a dozen Mercedes-Benz cars sped towards the front.

”Ha, who is this person, acting so arrogant?” Lin Feng laughed dumbly.

Xia Yu chuckled lightly, shook her head, then her expression suddenly changed, and she exclaimed, ”Isn’t that the Hua Yuan Villa Community up ahead? Mr. Jiang... isn’t he the only Jiang in that community?”

On their way there, Xia Yu had already received the files on Ye Jingyi and Jiang Chen. Of course, Jiang Chen’s abilities were highly classified, and even though they were from a special department, they weren’t cleared for that level of information. Lin Feng hadn’t seen the files because he was called over on short notice.

”You mean...” Lin Feng’s complexion changed at her words.

”Hurry!” Xia Yu urged with a serious expression.

Lin Feng quickly sped up the car. Damn it, if they arrived only to find that the people they were supposed to protect were injured, that would be a huge embarrassment. They couldn’t afford to lose that face!

Woo woo...squeak!

The Audi A6 stopped at the entrance of the No.1 garden villa in the Hua Yuan Villa Community. The scene inside the villa shocked both Lin Feng and his companion.

Inside the villa, three men were fighting in mid-air, a signature trait of Innate Grandmasters.

In another area, a Semi-Innate woman was bleeding from the mouth, desperately dragging two Semi-Innate experts, while a Profound Martial Artist was leading a group of Yellow-Level and even some non-martial artists in a frantic watch. At the villa entrance, a Heavenly Peak Martial Artist looked seriously at the two battlefields in the yard, clearly not able to intervene.

”This... is this the home of the people we’re supposed to protect?!” Lin Feng couldn’t believe what he was saying.

Xia Yu swallowed hard and said in a daze, ”It should be...only...”

They looked at each other and both revealed a bitter smile.

Originally they thought sending them for protection was overkill, and the task was rather boring, too. However, upon arrival, they discovered not only an ongoing fierce battle that would keep them from being bored but also the sad realization that they had no right to even involve themselves in the fight!

”Who are you?!”

Zhang Long, having received a gift from Jiang Chen, had become a Profound Martial Artist. Originally, after getting a report from his subordinate and learning that Jiang Chen’s home was under attack, he eagerly wanted to come help Jiang Chen out of the trouble. But when he arrived at the scene, he realized he was simply out of his league. Just as he was growing anxious, he spotted two individuals at the gate who seemed more manageable and immediately shouted at them.

”We are here to help Mr. Jiang, it’s just...” Xia Yu replied with a wry smile, glancing at the two battling groups, and found himself at a loss for words.

”Help Mr. Jiang?” Zhang Long did not relax his vigilance because of Xia Yu’s words, his eyes appraisingly fixed on Xia Yu and his companion.

”What is the surname of the old man who sent you?” An Hu called out from the villa’s gate.

Jiang Chen had told both him and Yan Hu that there would be people coming to protect Ye Jingyi and to verify identities to prevent any mishaps should they spot someone trailing them.

”It’s Mr. Xu!” Seeing a friendly face, Xia Yu quickly responded.

”Great! What’s your strength?” An Hu asked eagerly and with great anticipation.

Xia Yu and his companion exchanged glances, somewhat embarrassed as they said, ”Both of us are at the Heavenly Peak level.”

They knew why An Hu was happy. He must’ve assumed that the people Mr. Xu sent would be experts capable of offering help, but in the current situation, they seemed rather inadequate!

”What?! That weak?” An Hu couldn’t help but exclaim aloud.

Xia Yu and his companion could only offer another wry smile. Under any other circumstances, if someone dared to call them weak, they’d be forced to fight, but right now, they indeed seemed rather weak.

Bang!

Thud!

A muffled sound followed by a figure brutally kicked at the villa’s entrance.

Spurt!

Leng Ye spewed a mouthful of fresh blood as she struggled to rise from the ground.

”Miss Leng!” An Hu was shocked to see her, and noticing the two Semi Innate Grandmasters moving to attack Leng Ye again, he quickly stepped in front of her and yelled, ”Our Young Master is the chief instructor of the Dragon Tooth Special Combat Team. Are you looking to become enemies with the military of the Flame Dragon Kingdom?”

”Correct! We are from the military of the Flame Dragon Kingdom. Do you dare attack a high-ranking military family member here and make enemies with the entire Flame Dragon Kingdom?”

Xia Yu and his companion suddenly snapped to their senses, drawing out their ID badges swiftly and rushing to An Hu’s side, protecting Leng Ye, who was grievously injured and staggering to her feet, behind them.

The two Semi Innate Grandmasters’ faces turned pale. They had not anticipated that Jiang Chen would have such an identity. Glancing carefully at the ID badge Xia Yu was holding, they only saw a cover, but it indeed had ’Flame Dragon Kingdom Military Department’ emblazoned on it, which made them hesitate.

”What are you hesitating for? Now that it’s come to this, can you still back out? Kill them all—no one will know it was us who did it!” shouted an Innate Grandmaster who was still engaged in combat.

A cold killing intent flashed in the eyes of the two Semi Innates as they charged toward An Hu and the other two.
