Medic Martial Dragon King

Chapter 584: Chapter 584 Do Not Be a Cowardly Soldier Without Fighting_1

”Alright, the others have already assembled at the training ground. You all must head to the training ground immediately, and remember, when you arrive at the training ground, I need you to be in full armament. Remember, everything from shoulder-launched rocket launchers to heavy machine guns, to the Fire God Cannon, must be prepared for me. Up next, a tough battle awaits us!”

At this moment, Jiang Chen’s face became stern as he spoke.

Their eyes lit up, and Shen Xiangtian said with surprise, ”Head instructor, does this mean we’re going to have live combat training?”

”Not live combat training, but actual combat! There’s a group of people that you need to eliminate!” Jiang Chen said flatly.

”Fantastic!” Bao Xiong roared, ”Finally, we can fight! Head instructor, what do you mean by the others have already assembled? Does that mean all of our hundred-odd people are there?”

”Not a hundred, but all the original four hundred are there, just waiting for you!” Jiang Chen shook his head slightly.

The crowd was stunned for a moment before Shen Xiangtian said solemnly, ”Four hundred assembled? Head instructor, what is the scale of our target? Several thousand people?”

They were all elites of the special forces team. With four hundred people in combat, facing criminal armed fighters, several thousand would be the baseline!

”Several thousand? Are you joking? Your opponents this time are seventeen people,” Jiang Chen rolled his eyes—as if there were thousands with the strength like those in the valley, he would have fled as far as possible!

”Seventeen people?!” The crowd exclaimed in disbelief, looking at Jiang Chen incredulously.

Jiang Chen glanced over the crowd and sneered, ”What’s wrong? You think seventeen people aren’t worth your effort? Let me make it clear to you, if you can eradicate these seventeen people without me and another elder having to step in, then you can rightfully claim to be the world’s number one special forces team!”

The crowd was stunned again. They did not believe Jiang Chen was exaggerating, but they truly had some trouble understanding.

”Head instructor, are our opponents Martial Artists this time?” Shen Xiangtian asked with a grave expression.

”Martial Artists?!”

”We’re going to fight against Martial Artists?!”

The crowd looked at Jiang Chen in surprise.

Jiang Chen frowned: ”What’s wrong with Martial Artists? Don’t many of you also count as Martial Artists? Old Shen, you’re a Martial Artist at the Earth Grade Peak, and Feng Lang and the others are Profound Martial Artists. Spirit You and the other two are also Profound Peak Martial Artists. Are Martial Artists that remarkable?”

The crowd looked at Spirit You and the others in astonishment. It was common knowledge that Shen Xiangtian and Feng Lang were Martial Artists, but that Spirit You, Kuang Long, and Du Feng were Martial Artists was a surprise to them.

”Listen well, the reason why Flying Eagle is strong is that they are also Martial Artists. In the next training, I will make you all become Martial Artists, but there’s a prerequisite—you need to be willing to endure hardship.”

Jiang Chen paused for a moment, his eyes sweeping over the crowd with an indifferent expression: ”I know none of you are afraid of hardship, but listen well, to catch up with Flying Eagle’s men in a short period of time, I’ll have to employ some extreme methods.

In order to prevent any permanent damage, this process will be very painful, even cruel, compared to the previous training it’s child’s play.

Moreover, this training will involve all four hundred of you because I can’t guarantee how many of you will still be alive after it’s over!”

Everyone was momentarily stunned, then showed expressions of determination.

”Good, this is the reckless bravado I was looking for. Now, immediately return to the training base, get yourselves equipped. I will show you what a true Martial Artist is, and you will understand, once you become Martial Artists, not to think too highly of yourselves, for there are plenty out there who are far superior!”

Jiang Chen barked an order, waving his hand: ”Twenty minutes, assemble at the training ground!”

”Yes!” Everyone responded loudly and rushed towards their quarters!

Twenty minutes later, Jiang Chen stood on the training ground, looking at the four hundred people in front of him, and repeated what he had just said.

Most of the four hundred or so people looked at Jiang Chen with resolute expressions, but some revealed a hint of fear in their eyes. Everyone had seen the shooting training Jiang Chen had put Shen Xiangtian and the others through, and now, to say that such training was child’s play made some of them apprehensive.

”Anyone who wants to drop out can leave now. I won’t force you. After all, this training does carry the risk of death. And let me make it clear to you, among your opponents in what’s coming, there are those whose strength is not inferior to mine, and even I may die in the mission ahead!” Jiang Chen spoke gravely.

The faces of the crowd instantly changed, all looking at Jiang Chen in shock.

”Now, you have one minute to think. After a minute, we’ll march to the battlefield together!” Jiang Chen bellowed.

Different expressions appeared in everyone’s eyes.

Shen Xiangtian and the other ninety-one who stuck it out till the end all had eyes filled with fighting spirit. Those who were eliminated in the second round showed a moment of hesitation, but most of them eventually had firm expressions. However, the majority from the first round of eliminations began to look uncertain.

Not everyone is fearless in the face of life and death, especially after witnessing what could almost be called Jiang Chen’s suicidal training methods. Although no one had died so far, during that one week of training, Shen Xiangtian and the other trainees were all injured. Chen Jiantao was even shot through the lung, and it was only through Jiang Chen’s exceptional medical skills that he was healed.

Jiang Chen did not fully protect them during the training. If he prevented any injury, it wouldn’t have been effective training. He aimed not only to enhance their physical reflexes and improve fitness but also to forge in them a heart as resolute as steel!

A firm mindset is the most important thing for a Martial Artist—it determines how far a Martial Artist can go in the future!

The minute passed quickly, and one by one, people began to step out.

Jiang Chen took a look at those who stepped out of the ranks and breathed a sigh of relief.

Only about forty people left the formation at this time. None of the last ninety-one left; the majority of those who stepped out had been eliminated in the first round, with only one from the second round, and that was Chen Jianlin, who had some enmity with Jiang Chen. All of these forty or so people, without exception, were those who had retired and then been selected to return.

Feeling Jiang Chen’s gaze sweeping over them, all forty-plus people hung their heads; they were genuinely frightened. Since they had already chosen to retire, it showed a lack of resolve. Therefore, having witnessed Jiang Chen’s lethal training, it was not surprising that they were filled with fear and trepidation!

”You may retire again. You are not fit to stay with Long Ya, and frankly, you are not even cut out to be soldiers!” Jiang Chen spoke coldly.

Chen Jianlin and the others turned pale, opened their mouths, but couldn’t utter a word of retort; amidst the disgusted gazes of Shen Xiangtian and others, the forty plus people left the training ground, filled with shame. They knew this decision had brought their military careers to an absolute end.

The military does not need soldiers who are cowards without fighting!
