Ye Tianming had been feeling really down lately; after being helplessly reprimanded by Grandma Ye, he spent every day at the bar drinking.

That day, he ended up at the bar again.

”Are you Ye Tianming?” Suddenly, a shout came from behind him. Ye Tianming looked up to see a young man seating himself opposite him.

Ye Tianming asked in confusion, ”Who are you?”

”I am Sun Jian, from the Jinhai Sun Family!” the young man spoke softly.

Ye Tianming’s eyes lit up, and he even bent forward a little, ”Sun Family? What do you want with me... Is there something you need?”

”Our young master admires you. He has heard that you’ve been having a rough time in the Ye Family and wants to help you rise to power. Here’s a cooperative investment opportunity. If you want to get on board, you can take it,” Sun Jian placed an investment plan in front of Ye Tianming.

Ye Tianming’s heart skipped a beat as he quickly picked up the investment plan and started reading it.

After finishing, Ye Tianming spoke excitedly, ”May I ask who the young master is?”

”It’s Sun Jiayu, Young Master Yu,” Sun Jian stated bluntly.

”Young Master Yu?!” Ye Tianming was thrilled, like a drowning man who had found a piece of wood. He nodded repeatedly, ”Thank you, please thank Young Master Yu for me. I’m on board, please ask for his help.”

Sun Jian’s mouth curled into a sinister smile as he nodded lightly and left the bar.

Ye Tianming looked at the investment plan again and was overjoyed. He immediately settled his bill and rushed back home.

Once home, he immediately called Ye Jianchang and a few others aside, ”Dad, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma, look at this investment plan from the Sun Family.”

”What? The Sun Family? How did you get in touch with the Sun Family? They’ve been looking down on us because of the Ye Jingyi incident lately,” Ye Jianchang was startled.

”Well... didn’t I make a mistake? So, to make amends, I took the initiative to contact the Sun Family,” Ye Tianming lied.

”Able to recognize and correct your mistakes, good child,” the side of Grandma Ye’s face broke into a smile.

Ye Jianchang nodded too, and taking the investment plan to look at it, he immediately became delighted, ”Good, this cooperation is excellent. Hurry, notify everyone at once to convene a family meeting.”

The Ye Family received the call and rushed to Ye Jianchang’s house overnight.

”Big brother, you’re saying the Sun Family wants to invest with us? Really?” Ye Jianmin sat down and hurriedly confirmed.

Ye Jianchang proudly took out the investment proposal and threw it on the table, ”This is an agreement that our Tianming secured by proactively contacting the Sun Family. The terms are very favorable.”

The Ye Family members each took turns looking at the plan until it finally landed in Ye Jingyi’s hands.

”This is truly a great opportunity for our Ye Family.”

”Yes! Who would have thought Tianming could bring in the Sun Family for a partnership? It’s a sure win.”

”To partner with the Sun Family, this is surely a crucial turning point for the rise of the Ye Family of Jinhai.”

Members of the Ye Family began to speak out one after another in excited agreement.

Ye Jingyi, looking at the investment plan in her hands, slightly furrowed her brow. She had a sinking feeling something was off about the investment and suddenly remembered that it was Sun Jiayu who had caused trouble backstage at the gym. Her heart tightened as she worriedly said, ”Uncle, this investment plan might be a trap. Aren’t these investment terms too good? It’s like they’re just giving away money to our family. How is that possible?”

”Hmph! Is it a problem now that we have favorable terms? Do you want us all to invest in projects with bad terms?”

”Exactly, what are you suggesting, Ye Jingyi?”

”Ye Jingyi, don’t you want to see our Ye Family succeed?”

”I’m telling you, don’t think just because you became the general manager of Sihai Entertainment you can just boss the family around, you’re not qualified!”

The crowd of Ye Family members showed their discontent, speaking up with cold mockery and sarcasm.

Grandma Ye, pointing at Ye Jingyi, scolded sharply, ”Ye Jingyi, are you jealous because Tianming got such a favorable investment plan? Who do you think you are? You think being a lousy general manager of Sihai Entertainment gives you the right to challenge the family in meetings? What’s your worth? Get out, roll back to your Sihai Entertainment and stop being an eyesore.”

Ye Jingyi was stunned by the scolding, staring blankly at Grandma Ye.

”What are you standing around for? What, you want a piece of the action too? If it weren’t for you, would we have offended the Sun Family? Now, when you see my grandson finding an opportunity to reconcile with the Sun Family, you get jealous. Get lost at once,” Grandma Ye yelled again.

Feeling utterly aggrieved and angry, Ye Jingyi stood up and left the Ye household.

”Alright, with the irrelevant person gone, let’s move on. Now, let’s vote by show of hands, those in favor of cooperating with the Sun Family, raise your hand!” Ye Jianchang spoke indifferently, raising his hand first.

”Agreed!”

”I agree too!”

”You must agree!”

The entire Ye Family unanimously approved the investment plan.

Ye Jianchang nodded, then turned to Ye Tianming, ”Tian Ming, tomorrow transfer all the family funds, and go discuss the cooperation with the Sun Family.”

”Okay!” Ye Tianming nodded excitedly.

...

At this moment, on Jinhai snack street, Li Jiangming was strolling with a scantily clad woman in his arms.

”Darling, what do you want to eat? Buy whatever you like, brother will pay for it!” Li Tianming said generously as he flirted with the woman’s arm.

The woman spoke in a coquettish voice, ”You mean it?”

Whoo-whoo! Screech—

Suddenly a roaring sound erupted, and several cars stopped beside Li Jiangming and the woman.

The car doors opened, and a dozen fierce-looking men surrounded Li Jiangming.

Li Jiangming was terrified, ”What, what are you doing?”

A man with a full beard glared at Li Jiangming and spoke coldly, ”Li Jiangming, you sure can run!”

Li Jiangming’s legs went weak with fear, ”Big brothers, who are you? I don’t know you.”

”You don’t know us? Who the hell else could you recognize?”

The bearded man roared angrily and waved his hand, ”Get him, beat him up first then talk!”

Bang!

Bang bang bang!

A group of men began to punch and kick Li Jiangming.

The woman was terrified, and seeing that no one was paying attention to her, scrambled away in panic.

”Stop!”

After a while, the bearded man shouted and the group stopped and stepped back.

The bearded man stepped forward, sneering, ”Li Jiangming, now do you recognize me?”

With a bruised face, Li Jiangming crawled up and knelt before the bearded man, kowtowing, ”Brother Meng, I was wrong, please spare me this once, please spare me, I... I’m scared.”

Bang!

”Now you know fear?”

The bearded man sneered as he kicked Li Jiangming’s head, toppling him to the ground, ”When you were abroad, you weren’t afraid to splurge our money every day, were you? Not afraid then? Oh, ran back to the country after owing debts, thought I couldn’t find you here? Let me tell you, if you don’t pay back the money, I’ll cripple you!”

Bang!

After kicking Li Jiangming one more time, the bearded man waved his hand and led his men into the cars and left.

Li Jiangming climbed up from the ground with a miserable face, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and glanced fearfully in the direction the bearded man and his gang had left.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached, and Li Jiangming, startled, quickly turned to look.

A wealthy young master arrived in front of Li Jiangming, accompanied by several bodyguards.

After looking Li Jiangming up and down, the other party spoke indifferently, ”You’re Ye Jingyi’s first love?”

”I, I am, you...” Li Jiangming started, his expression uneasy.

”My name is Sun Jiayu.” Sun Jiayu smiled slightly, ”How would you like to not pay back the money to those just now, and instead make a big fortune?”

Li Jiangming’s eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly, ”Of course, I want that.”

”Want it, then listen to me,” Sun Jiayu took out a business card and handed it to Li Jiangming, ”This is my card, send your mobile number to my phone, and I will call you!”

After finishing speaking, Sun Jiayu turned and left with his men.

Li Jiangming looked at the business card and a surge of happiness filled him, ”The Sun Family! He’s from the Sun Family!”
