”Tian Ming is back? Is the contract signed?” Ye Jianchang and Grandma Ye, among others, had been waiting in the living room, and as soon as Ye Tianming returned, they all looked towards him.

With a funereal expression, Ye Tianming said, ”No, they didn’t sign the contract.”

The others were all taken aback. The letter of intent had already been signed; how could they not end up signing the contract?

Grandma Ye, now somewhat displeased, asked, ”Tian Ming, you didn’t offend the people at The Four Seas, did you?”

Ye Tianming was stunned for a moment before he suddenly remembered the threatening words Jiang Chen had left behind and hastily spoke through gritted teeth, ”I didn’t, it was all Jiang Chen’s doing! It’s him! I ran into him at The Four Seas, and he said he’d make sure the contract wouldn’t be signed. Then he caused trouble for me at The Four Seas, and as a result, I offended their people, and the contract wasn’t signed.”

”That damned Jiang Chen, this despicable freeloading man, even dared to make trouble.” Ye Jianchang cursed furiously.

With a cold voice, Grandma Ye said, ”A mere son-in-law doesn’t have that much guts; it must have been Ye Jingyi and her people instigating him. Call Ye Jianxiong and ask him where that little bitch Ye Jingyi is!”

Ye Jianchang made the call and thereafter spoke in a grave voice, ”Ye Jingyi is at Jinhai First Hospital.”

Grandma Ye took the phone and dialed Ye Jianmin, ”Jian Min, that little... Go and teach her a lesson, and tell Jiang Chen to come home and apologize!”

Jinhai First Hospital.

Ye Jianxiong and the others were all in Ye Jingyi’s hospital room.

The Ye Family was relying on Ye Jingyi; although they were only holding shares to work, whatever needed to be handled was done by Ye Jingyi. Now that she was hospitalized, they all felt something was amiss and rushed over to see when she could be discharged.

With a ”bang,” the door of the hospital room was pushed open forcefully, the Ye family members were stunned for a moment, then turned their heads to see Ye Jianmin walking in.

”Cousin...”

Ye Jianxiong stepped forward, thinking the visitor had come to see his daughter, but he was immediately pushed aside by Ye Jianmin.

”Ye Jingyi, what the hell are you trying to do?” Ye Jianmin not having a single concerned word, directly roared at Ye Jingyi on the hospital bed.

Confused, Ye Jianxiong said, ”Cousin? What’s going on?”

”What’s going on? Ask Ye Jingyi what’s going on!” Ye Jianmin shouted angrily, ”Did you think that by sending Jiang Chen to cause trouble at The Four Seas, we would change our minds and use you to sign the contract? Dream on! If this contract doesn’t get signed, you can forget about your shares!”

After dropping a few more harsh words, Ye Jianmin turned and walked out of the hospital room.

Ye Jingyi’s family was stunned for quite a while, and then Zhou Ru suddenly turned to look at Ye Jingyi, ”What are you trying to do? Why did you let Jiang Chen cause trouble? Do you want our whole family to end up destitute?”

”I didn’t,” Ye Jingyi was also taken aback.

”Call Jiang Chen immediately, and have him go to the family and apologize,” Ye Jianxiong said coldly.

Ye Jingyi panicked too and hastily dialed Jiang Chen’s number, but Zhou Ru snatched the phone from her and switched on the speaker.

”Hello, Jing Yi!”

Jiang Chen’s voice came through the phone.

”Jiang Chen, you bastard, what are you trying to do? Do you have a death wish going to The Four Seas to cause trouble? Go to the family and apologize right now, even if you have to kneel and kowtow to ask for the family’s forgiveness!” Zhou Ru cursed at the phone furiously.

Ye Jianxiong spoke in a cold voice, ”Jiang Chen, you good-for-nothing, all you do is screw things up. Go to the family and apologize right now. If you don’t apologize, don’t ever set foot in our house again!”

”Jiang Chen, how could you do this? The family would never let me sign the contract. Quickly get The Four Seas to sign with the family, stop causing more trouble!” Ye Jingyi tried to persuade Jiang Chen.

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a moment, and then Jiang Chen’s low voice came through, ”I will make the Ye Family come back begging Jing Yi to sign the contract.”

Beep... beep...

Jiang Chen hung up the phone after finishing what he had to say.

Zhou Ru and the others were stupefied for a moment, then Ye Yanni spoke with scorn, ”Jing Yi, can’t you see? Your useless husband doesn’t care about our family’s wellbeing at all, saying he will have the family come begging you, what does he think he is!”

”Jing Yi, call Jiang Chen again, you must make him go to the family and apologize, otherwise our shares are gone!” Zhou Ru said with a stern face.

”No need to call,” Lin Wan suddenly walked in from the doorway, glanced over Zhou Ru and the others, and then turned to look at Ye Jingyi, ”Don’t call Jiang Chen anymore, we’ll talk about it later.”

Ye Jingyi gave it some thought and nodded slightly, although she also didn’t believe that Jiang Chen could make her family beg her. Nevertheless, she didn’t want Jiang Chen to apologize to the family. After all, it was her family who stole her credit, and Jiang Chen did it for her.

Sihai Investment Company, CEO’s Office.

Jiang Chen hung up the phone, his face darkening as he muttered softly, ”The Ye Family must be pressuring Jingyi again! Those bastards, Jingyi is hospitalized, and they are still bullying her!”

With a swift movement of his eyes, Jiang Chen dialed a number, ”Zhang Long, check the recent situation of the Ye Family for me.”

”Of course, Mr. Jiang,” came Zhang Long’s response from the other end of the line.

After a while, a document was sent to Jiang Chen’s phone.

Opening it, Jiang Chen let out a cold laugh and said, ”They still act tough under these circumstances; I really want to see if they will beg Jingyi.”

A little later, the intercom phone rang. Jiang Chen glanced at the caller ID and picked up the phone, ”Hello, Manager Wang.”

”Mr. Jiang, the Ye Family has sent people again.”

”Tell them to get lost,” Jiang Chen said with a frosty expression. ”No matter who it is, except for my wife, tell them to get lost.”

”Yes!”

After hanging up, a hint of a cold smile appeared on Jiang Chen’s face.

The doors of Sihai were almost worn out by the people from the Ye Family today!

After sending Ye Jianmin to teach Ye Jingyi a lesson, Grandma Ye sent several groups of people to Sihai to sign a contract, but they all received the same response: ”Get lost!”

Having no other option, Ye Jianchang personally made his way to Sihai.

Once inside Sihai, Ye Jianchang was directed to the reception room to wait. Soon, Wang Hui arrived.

”Mr. Ye, you came in person?” Wang Hui smiled meaningfully as he looked at Ye Jianchang.

Ye Jianchang looked up at Wang Hui and frowned, ”You are...?”

”I’m Wang Hui, the Vice President of Sihai,” said Wang Hui, introducing himself with a light chuckle. ”Since you’ve come personally, we must surely provide a warm welcome.”

Hearing this, Ye Jianchang felt hopeful and straightened up, his voice becoming stern, ”Vice President Wang, what’s with the contract? Why did we sign a letter of intent but not the formal contract?”

”Our investment department’s Manager Wang has already made that very clear. I am here to convey a message from our president,” Wang Hui continued with a light smile.

Ye Jianchang was taken aback and asked in surprise, ”Your president? What would your president have to say to me?”

”Our president said, since you’ve come personally, we can’t be so straightforward and blunt. So, he’s sent you three words,” Wang Hui’s face maintained its pleasant smile.

”Which three words?”

”Please... get lost!”

”You...”

Ye Jianchang felt like spitting out a mouthful of blood, staring fixedly at Wang Hui, at a loss for words.

”I’ve delivered the president’s message, so I’ll be leaving now. The door is right over there. Mr. Ye, I won’t see you out,” Wang Hui said cheerfully, pointing to the door before turning and leaving the reception room.

Ye Jianchang’s complexion changed several times before he finally left Sihai in dejection.

Upon returning home and learning that even Ye Jianchang had been driven out, Grandma Ye was furious, cursing, ”That Jiang Chen is really a bastard! He can’t do anything right, but he’s good at screwing things up!”

”Grandma, what should we do? Let’s just not deal with Sihai at all!” Tian Ming said indignantly.

Hearing this, Ye Jianchang glared at Tian Ming, ”Without Sihai, who else? After we got the letter of intent, we’ve already signed purchase contracts with a few major companies. If we breach the contract now, do you know how much we’d have to pay in penalties? Do you have any idea how much that amounts to?”

”This... what do we do then?” Tian Ming was dumbstruck, looking at Ye Jianchang helplessly.

Ye Jianchang frowned and sighed deeply, ”What to do? Look for Ye Jingyi. Since Sihai said they would only sign with Ye Jingyi, then we have no choice but to seek her out.”
