Medic Martial Dragon King

Lu Mingda really felt like crying.

He wanted so much to say that he could cure the patient. But he really had tried his best, yet there was no effect at all.

And now, the great credit he was counting on had become a death warrant.

If the young master of the Cheng Family died, then the Cheng Family would definitely make sure he had no place to be buried.

Lu Mingda was completely panicked, collapsed on the ground, and cried out, ”Mr. Cheng, I’m sorry, at first, it wasn’t us who saved the young master, it was a young man who saved him, I...”

”Slap—Slap—”

Before Lu Mingda could finish, Cheng Zhiqiang grabbed him and fiercely slapped him twice across the face, knocking him back to the ground, his face swelling from the blows.

”You idiot! How dare you deceive me? Go and bring me the Divine Doctor who saved him right now, or you’re as good as dead!” Cheng Zhiqiang pointed at Lu Mingda and yelled fiercely.

Lu Mingda, not minding the pain, now knew if he didn’t find that Divine Doctor, he was truly done for.

”I’ll look, I’ll... where do I find him?” Lu Mingda got up in a panic to look for someone, but just as he got up, he fell back to the ground, crying out in despair. He hadn’t even seen the person’s face, how was he supposed to find him?

Doctor Liu remembered the phone number Jiang Chen had left and hurriedly reminded, ”Director, the phone number, it’s on the medical record I gave you.”

”What phone number? Whose phone number?” Cheng Zhiqiang asked urgently.

”The young man who saved the person left his number,” Doctor Liu replied to Cheng Zhiqiang, then turned to Lu Mingda, ”Director Lu, where’s the medical record I gave you?”

”Bang—”

Cheng Zhiqiang kicked Lu Mingda, flipping him over again: ”Find it right now, or you’re finished!”

”Find, find! The medical record! The medical record!” Lu Mingda stood up hurriedly, muttering in a flustered tone.

Suddenly, Lu Mingda’s eyes lit up: ”The ward, the medical record is in the ward!”

Thump thump thump!

Lu Mingda turned and rushed towards the ward.

”If only I knew earlier, why did I ever, sigh,” Doctor Liu watched Lu Mingda’s retreating figure, shook his head gently, and beckoned to the other doctors to push Cheng Jianbin to the VIP ward.

...

After returning from the hospital, Jiang Chen was still worried and didn’t sleep at all as he lay in bed that night.

He had stabilized the young man’s condition earlier, but the patient needed medication treatment. Moreover, the young man’s injuries were somewhat special; the hospital might not be able to treat him, so Jiang Chen had been waiting for a call.

”Why hasn’t there been any call? Is Kang Long Private Hospital that good?” Jiang Chen glanced at his phone, which had been silent, and muttered in surprise.

But just as Jiang Chen finished muttering, the phone rang. He looked at it and answered, ”Hello?”

”Hello, are you the young man who treated a young man today at Kang Long Private Hospital?” As soon as the call connected, a frantic voice came through.

Jiang Chen softly replied, ”Yes, that’s me, I’m Jiang Chen. How is the patient?”

”Mr. Jiang, Mr. Jiang, please come to the hospital. We can’t treat the patient! The condition is critical now, please come quickly! We’re begging you to come!”

”Okay!”

Jiang Chen nodded, hung up the phone, and headed towards the hospital.

...

Kang Long Private Hospital VIP Ward.

Lu Mingda hung up the phone and cautiously approached Cheng Zhiqiang, ”Mr. Cheng, the young man who’s treating Cheng Junior is named Jiang Chen, and he’s on his way here.”

”Lu Mingda, if my son’s treatment is delayed because of your concealment, you are dead!” Cheng Zhiqiang glared fiercely at Lu Mingda and turned to speak to Butler Wu, ”Wait here for me, I’m going to make a phone call.”

”Okay,” Butler Wu responded.

After a while, Jiang Chen arrived at the VIP ward.

”Why have you only just arrived!” Lu Mingda saw Jiang Chen and urgently said, ”Hurry up and check on Cheng Junior.”

At these words, Butler Wu sized up Jiang Chen, ”You are Jiang Chen? Get to treating our young master quickly. If you do a good job, there will be benefits for you. If not, don’t even think about staying in Jinhai!”

Jiang Chen frowned and, looking up at Butler Wu, remained standing at the door without moving.

”What are you standing there for? Hurry up and treat our young master, did you hear me?”

Butler Wu glared and barked, ”Look at your poor appearance, it’s an honor for you to treat our young master! Let me tell you, wake our young master up immediately, he must not feel even a bit of discomfort, and also, he must not feel pain, he must not be incapacitated when he wakes, he must be able to get out of bed right away, only then will our old master be reassured!”

”Heh, if you’re so capable, treat him yourselves!”

Jiang Chen’s frown deepened, and with a cold snort, he threw down a sentence and turned to leave.

”Mr. Jiang, Mr. Jiang, please wait!”

Just as Jiang Chen turned around, Cheng Zhiqiang, who had finished his phone call, hurriedly stopped Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow and looked at Cheng Zhiqiang, asking doubtfully, ”And you are?”

”My name is Cheng Zhiqiang, the patient’s father,” Cheng Zhiqiang pleaded with Jiang Chen as he looked at him urgently.

Jiang Chen indifferently said, ”Ask for help? Is this how you usually ask? Sorry, someone poor like me isn’t fit to treat the illnesses of rich families like yours. Goodbye.”

No sooner had he spoken than Jiang Chen turned to leave.

Cheng Zhiqiang was stunned for a moment, turning his head to glance at Butler Wu and Lu Mingda inside the ward. Their expressions changed, and Cheng Zhiqiang instantly understood, hurrying to pull at Jiang Chen, ”Mr. Jiang, please don’t be angry, just wait a moment.”

After calming Jiang Chen, Cheng Zhiqiang kicked Butler Wu inside the room, ”I asked you to wait here for Mr. Jiang, is this how you wait? Kneel down and apologise to Mr. Jiang. If Mr. Jiang doesn’t save my son because of you, I’ll have your whole family killed!”

”Thud!”

Butler Wu, terrified, promptly knelt in front of Jiang Chen, and earnestly kowtowed, ”Mr. Jiang, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please save our young master, save our entire family!”

”And you! Taking credit for Mr. Jiang’s work, hurry up and apologize to Mr. Jiang,” Cheng Zhiqiang shouted angrily at Lu Mingda.

”Thud!”

Lu Mingda also knelt and started slapping his own face, frantically apologizing, ”I’m sorry, I was wrong, I should not have taken credit for your work, I deserve to die.”

Jiang Chen paused, and from the words of Lu Mingda and Cheng Zhiqiang, he seemed to understand something.

No wonder they called me so late, I see how it is!

Muttering to himself, Jiang Chen didn’t look at Butler Wu and Lu Mingda on the ground but walked into the ward to Cheng Jianbin’s side.

After taking his pulse, Jiang Chen glanced at Lu Mingda and said indifferently, ”You’ve delayed the best time for treatment. Initially, it would have sufficed with just medication, but now he needs to be jabbed with needles!”

”Mr. Jiang, please do us the honour!” Cheng Zhiqiang stared fiercely at Lu Mingda and then turned to look at Jiang Chen expectantly.

Lu Mingda shuddered all over and shrank his neck, turning into an ostrich by burying his head in his knees, afraid to draw Cheng Zhiqiang’s attention and endure a beating.
