Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2924 - 2925: Mammon VS Mammon

-----

Mammon stared at the figure, realization dawning. It was himself.

”YOU! Just what do you think youʼre doing, attacking the main body?!”

His opponent smirked. His aura surged violently as his clothes transformed into an awe-inspiring cosmic demonic armor.

At the same time, hundreds of weapons materialized from the same metallic essence that composed this other Mammon. Liquid metal streamed toward Erika, Harumi, Frank, and the rest of the Werewolves and Vampires battling Abyssʼs forces, enveloping them in powerful armor.

”Youʼre just an idiot who lost his path. I will knock some sense into you, and if I have to, Iʼll take you down and devour you back!”

Mammon clashed against his other self—the true Mammon, brainwashed by the Sun God, and the Mammon born from a fragment of his soul that had become a Cosmic Maxima Ego Spirit, now reincarnated in this world as Harumiʼs brother.

Thanks to Mammonʼs intervention and aid, the Vampires and Werewolves broke through their fight against Abyssʼs minions. They tore the enemies to shreds and rushed to support the younger fighters.

Erika and Harumi held their ground against Leviathanʼs frenzied assaults. They reformed their fused Aura, and with Mammonʼs incredible armor, they now resisted demon-type damage exceptionally well. They began striking back fiercely.

”How about some assists, kids?!” Thyra leaped forward, transforming into a golden werewolf and slashing across Leviathanʼs face.

”Let us give you some help!” Celene howled. In her werewolf form, she unleashed moonlight magic, bombarding Leviathan with countless beams of radiant light.

”Weʼre here as well! FRANKEN SMASH!” Frankenstein roared. Using his super-muscular body, he punched Leviathanʼs heads, shattering teeth and jaws.

”Fufu, donʼt overexert yourselves, everyone!” Dan spread his arms. Black and red fog rolled outward, weakening Leviathan further while empowering all the vampires around him.

”Itʼs time we do something!” Lady Shadow seized control of Leviathanʼs own shadows, turning them against him. The darkness began to devour and tear his body apart.

”GAAAAAHHHH!”

Leviathan could no longer fight back. His entire form was rapidly ground down. His demonic and angelic powers proved useless against so many foes at once.

The other Archdemons didnʼt even try to help him. They were too occupied dealing with Frank, Wasp, and Victor, who pressed their assault with unrelenting intensity. Mammonʼs distraction created the perfect opening to overwhelm the Archdemon of Envy.

”GRRRRR! I AM…! T-THE ARCHDEMON OF ENVYYYYY! STOP…! UNDERESTIMATING ME—GAAAAAAHHH?!”

Leviathan overflowed with demonic power, but Erika and Harumi charged straight through him. They pierced his demonic heart and ripped it apart.

BOOOMMM!!!

Unable to resist, Leviathan died pathetically. At least his soul remained intact, allowing him to depart peacefully to the afterlife.

CRASH!

”What makes you think youʼre better than me when youʼre merely a copy?!” Mammon roared. Enveloped in heavy golden armor, he swung massive axes, hammers, swords, and lances at his parallel self.

”I never said I was better than you,” Harumiʼs brother replied calmly. ”But living in this world has truly separated me from you. However, I am not willing to let you go like the other Archdemon bastards!” His dark blue cosmic demonic metal reshaped into similar weapons. Both Mammons collided with ferocious intensity.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

CRAAASH!

Their clash forced them apart as cracks spiderwebbed across their armor. They gritted their teeth and charged again, clashing without pause. Explosions of demonic energy and infernal flames lit the skies.

”I have all the wealth you donʼt!”

Mammon smiled viciously. He began absorbing his vast riches to grow even stronger. His skin darkened to gold; his body grew taller and bulkier, overflowing with demonic might.

At the same time, drawing on half of Satanʼs powers amplified his attack strength to terrifying levels.

”PERISH, FAKER!”

Mammon roared. Sunlight divinity from the Sun God surged within him. Giant golden hands descended to crush his other self, only for Harumiʼs brother to evade swiftly.

BAAAM!

RUMBLE!

The ground trembled. Mammon scanned around, realizing his counterpart had vanished.

”Heʼs gone? What?!”

”Gone? Not really—just preparing!”

”…!”

Mammon turned to his back. His other self reappeared, overflowing with power. He transformed into a gigantic blazing axe and descended, cleaving apart Mammonʼs right arm, shoulder, and leg.

CRAAASH!

”Nnnggh! Kaaaagh!”

Mammon screamed in agony. He collapsed, flattening dozens of skyscrapers and buildings. The impact sent tremors rippling outward.

”W-WHA…! YOU BECAME A WEAPON?!”

Mammon stared in shock. That wasnʼt a power he possessed—let alone one that allowed him to become such a gigantic, devastating weapon radiating overwhelming force.

”One that has awakened his own Heart Path too!”

FLUOSH!

From Harumiʼs brother emerged a colossal figure of cosmic demonic flames—resembling Mammonʼs original monstrous demon form, complete with a cow-skull head.

Using his Cosmic Heart Avatar, he swung himself against his true self. Mammon summoned all his wealth to resist, erecting countless barriers while desperately trying to heal.

”Nnnggghhh…! I wonʼt die…! I…! I…! Must worship… the sun…! The sun god…! I…!”

He channeled Sunlight Power and began glowing brighter. The other Mammon struggled to maintain his grip—he was being pushed back.

”Damn it! How could you let that bastard brainwash you, main body?! Donʼt you have someone else you love more?! Kireina-sama is fighting that bastard, risking her life…! And you…! You son of a bitch, youʼre here worshipping that disgusting thing?! Who is the one you love, Mammon?!”

Mammonʼs eyes widened. Deep within his memories, a voice echoed—the voice of the only person who had ever shown him true, sincere love.

”I love you, darling~ Letʼs be together forevermore.”

The only one who had accepted his flaws and embraced him completely.

The only one kind enough to share hell itself with him.

”K-Kireina…!”

For a few precious seconds, Mammonʼs true body regained consciousness. But the Sun Godʼs power remained overwhelming.

In that fleeting moment, his soul fragment seized the opportunity. He split Mammon in two. His true body watched as his fragment clenched his teeth, tears streaming down his face, forced to do this.

”Ah… this is fine too… I was tired of being in hell anyway…”

As he closed his eyes, his soul fragment rushed forward before he could depart, grabbing him and fusing together.

”Donʼt die on me! Youʼve got a whole life to live with her, Mammon!”

FLAAASH!

Both Mammons merged. The Authority over Hell vanished, along with all his accumulated wealth.

None of that mattered anymore to the Archdemon.

When he re-emerged from the light, his appearance had changed slightly—long blonde hair, gleaming red eyes. He smiled warmly, feeling whole for the first time.

Feathered wings burst from his back. His demonic traits diminished. A golden halo appeared above his head.

”Eh?”

Through Repentant Enlightenment born from Kireinaʼs love, Mammon had been forgiven and restored to his Archangel form.

He had released his greed.

He had released his pride.

He had released all his worldly desires.

All for the person he truly loved and cared for.

Thus, Mammon became the first Archdemon whose curse fully lifted, freeing him from its hold and returning him to his former self.

Or rather—something new.

It had merged with his current body: a Half-Incubus Human turned Dhampir by Clementine.

He retained his Demonic Powers through this form, creating a unique hybrid.

He had become…

”Iʼm a Nephalem?!”

A being between demon and angel.

Feeling immense new strength, Mammon nodded. He knew exactly where to direct it—to help everyone else.

”And who the hell are you?! A damn bug?!”

Beelzebub roared furiously as he clashed with Wasp. Both seemed evenly matched in raw power. But Wasp moved like a complete maniac—dodging attacks with terrifying speed and landing precise, devastating blows on every weak point in Beelzebubʼs body. He felt more demonic than the Archdemon himself.

”Gaaaahha?!”

Beelzebub felt a sharp pain pierce his soul as Wasp drove a fist into his guts and hurled him skyward. Waspʼs insectoid wings buzzed. He pursued relentlessly, swinging both legs downward in a crushing kick that sent the Archdemon crashing back to earth.

BOOOM!

”Look whoʼs talking.”

Wasp crossed his four arms and looked down at Beelzebubʼs giant insect form.

Beelzebub clenched his teeth, glaring up in rage.

”How come a mortal like you is so strong?! An insectoid race, no less!”

”I am an anomaly.”

Wasp dove downward, shattering Beelzebubʼs barriers. He ignored the swarm of monstrous insects that detonated around him as he pierced straight through with his bare body. He seized the insectʼs head, dragged him across the pavement, and obliterated his face.

RUMBLE!

He hurled Beelzebub into a skyscraper. The building collapsed completely over the Archdemonʼs body.

”Weak. Thatʼs all?” Wasp asked, gazing down. ”Show me your true power, King of Flies!”

”TSK! SEE FOR YOURSELF, INSECT!”

Beelzebub channeled every ounce of his power and concentrated it inward. He evolved into a gigantic demonic cosmic beast god, overflowing with black cosmic energy.

His form became incredibly muscular, with six arms. His body gleamed like obsidian. A humanoid face emerged, covered in exoskeleton, complete with long antennae and four enormous insect wings.

”This is my true power…! Thanks to the Sun God himself, I have broken through my limits!”

”Hoh, letʼs see then.”

Wasp went all-out. Golden armor enveloped him. His aura surged to impossible heights—far beyond Beelzebubʼs.

”Eh?”

Beelzebubʼs confident smirk faltered. His face twitched as catastrophic pressure crushed down on him. He struggled to breathe.

”Um… wait, considering it again, maybe we can solve this—”

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

”Gaaaahhh?! L-Let me… finish… You fucking son of a—”

BOOOM!

Before Beelzebub could finish, Wasp sliced his body into countless pieces. His soul detonated into fragments. The ”mighty” Archdemon was eliminated in seconds.

”What? That was it? Tsk, looks like only the young lady can give me that thrill. Once this is all over, I want a rematch with her.”

Frank heard an explosion not far away. He had witnessed Wasp dragging Beelzebub elsewhere and sensed two other Archdemons fall—Mammon and Leviathan!

That left only Belphegor and Asmodeus, the strongest of the five. Belphegor mastered Dreams and Nightmares—commanding them, weaving them, fusing them, even burning them as fuel for deadly spells that could wound the soul directly, even Frankʼs.

Asmodeus wielded the power of Lust, enslaving billions of souls into his eternal, loyal ”lovers.” He forged, combined, and wielded those souls in countless forms and ways.

”Who would have thought the two strongest Archdemons would be the ones of Lust and Sloth, huh?” Frank muttered, spitting blood.

”Belphegor and Asmodeus were among the mightiest Archangels—comparable to me and Gabriel at our peak,” Michael explained. ”It makes sense that after elevating their powers to this level, they became so formidable.”

”Hah, giving up already?” Belphegor laughed, spreading Nightmares and Dreams everywhere.

”Looks like heʼs struggling. How cute,” Asmodeus laughed loudly. ”Shall we make you see your maker?”

Both Archdemons appeared the most humanoid and beautiful of the group.

Asmodeus had long, clear purple hair, long black horns, and gleaming red eyes. Six wings extended behind him—four black, two white.

Belphegor was smaller, resembling a teenager compared to Asmodeusʼs young-adult form. He had short pink hair, golden goat-like horns on either side of his head, and eight feathered wings—all translucent, shimmering with dark purple, pink, black, red, and white hues.
