”We came from the stars, born from… whatever we came from. And every once in a while, I feel this hunger, this endless… hunger.”

”Hunger?”

”Yes, a hunger that slowly consumes my very sense of self, and I rampage. I destroy, I devour… for dozens, perhaps hundreds of years. Until…”

”Until I am finally satisfied.”

”What?!”

”And… This hunger is approaching, I can feel it. It is in its beginning stages, but… in a year or two… it will consume me. And… I donʼt want to hurt you… without realizing… the thing I fear the most now… is myself. Because…”

He held my hands even tighter, as I noticed his aura twisting into countless red eyes crying.

”Because I donʼt want to lose you…”

”You wonʼt lose me!”

”But how do you know that?! I… must eat. And Frank, that human child, possesses immense cosmic power! If I can devour him… I could satiate my hunger for perhaps hundreds of thousands of years, maybe millions! Thatʼs… thatʼs why I must feed on him.”

”So it all boils down to that… You shouldʼve told me this earlier, dad! Why keep it hidden all this time if you knew it was dangerous?”

”I didnʼt want to scare you; you were living your own life. Finally at high school, making friends, discovering your own self, loving and being heartbroken… all the things I never experienced, which you now had the privilege of going through… I didnʼt want to interrupt such an important time in your life… but I was foolish, as I never realized the very target of my hunger was… someone you loved.”

”Now I am in a dilemma… what do I do, Kireina? If I attempt at his life, you will stop me… and… what do we do then? Do you want to fight… to fight me? For him? Who… who is more important to you? That boy… or your father?”

”T-This is…”

”Tell me, Kireina… please tell me!”

”T-Thatʼs… no! Stop it!”

I pushed my father back, realizing he was desperate, not acting like himself, letting his own sorrow for mother and his fears for something that hasnʼt even happened consume him.

”Your hunger has just begun and yet you let despair consume you!” I said angrily. ”Father, this isnʼt like you! Are you seriously just giving up now?!”

”A-Ah…!”

His eyes widened, realizing how he had been acting, looking down in disbelief.

”Iʼm sorry… that wasnʼt like me… I…” Hеlp us оut by rеаding оn М|V|LЕМ5РYR.

”Itʼs… itʼs okay.”

I patted his shoulders.

”Dad… Letʼs find another way, together.”

”Another way? How?”

”I think we can find another way! Perhaps if we find something, tasty enough for your hunger… we could satiate it.”

”But… Thatʼs… how do you even hope to achieve that?!”

”Weʼll find a way! Iʼve been developing something inside of me recently.”

”I-Inside of you…? Wait, are you pregnant with that bratʼs…?!”

His face was filled with horror and anger.

”What?! No! Thatʼs not it!”

Though I did do it with Frank plenty of times back in Grand Terra… I couldʼve gotten pregnant if I wanted, but I chose not to, mostly because itʼs such a bother.

”Donʼt you have similar powers? Itʼs like a dimension.”

”Ah, yes… I possess something similar. I call it the Abyssal Dimension. An inner world within me which I expand as a Domain within my territory, interconnecting various spaces. This is how we can easily move between Domains.”

”Yep, thatʼs it! I got that one and I am cultivating some special materials. I call them Divine Treasures, and theyʼre packed full of Chaos and Cosmic Power.”

”What?!”

”So, I think we could probably satiate your hunger with a meal a day instead, for now! until we can find something bigger and juicier.”

”T-Thatʼs… but how? Youʼre growing… plants made of chaos and cosmic power?! How is that even a thing- not even I can do that!”

”Well, dad, I am special arenʼt I? We might be of the same ”species” but our powers and how we develop them are different… after all, I am also half Darkwood Fae, I possess a natural affinity with Nature, Life, and Plants.”

”…Right,” his eyes widened. ”I never thought about that before. Is this why you contracted that Yggdrasil Spirit earlier? That little girl.”

”Yggdrantia? Yep,” I nodded. ”She could also help us a lot… See dad? You were panicking way too much, when could have always communicated with me… we can solve this together.”

”Kireina…” he looked at me, filled with emotions. ”My daughter!”

He hugged me tightly, with his arms and his countless black, chaotic tentacles covered with crimson eyes, which were all crying blood and miasma.

”Youʼre… youʼre truly my greatest treasure! I thank… I thank your mother for giving birth to you every day…!” He said happily. ”Indeed… I was foolish! I thought I could simply carry the burden on my own, that I could hide things from you… but… thatʼs not right. This is… we are family, right?”

”Yeah!” I nodded, kissing his forehead and hugging him tightly. ”We are family, dad! We can get through this problem together… so please, believe me! Have… have hope.”

”Hope… what a peculiar word…” He smiled, seemingly calmer, looking down on the floor. ”I suppose I have to… I was once a monster… but since your mother and you appeared in my life, I became more than what my own body dictated… I am… I am a father, thanks to you.”

”Yeah, youʼve got your own flaws too, we all do but… youʼre a pretty good dad!” I smiled. ”Iʼm also thankful every day for having such a cool father!”

”Kireina… youʼre going to make me cry a sea of miasma at this point!” He cried, cleaning his tears with his handkerchiefs. ”S-So… Uh, those materials, do you have them ready?”

”Yes, I have plenty,” I nodded. ”Weʼll experiment cooking with them with the help of Araña and maybe weʼll need Medea too, or ant Alchemist.”

”I see… then consider that done, Iʼll gather the most brilliant minds for that,” he nodded. ”Iʼm looking forward to that meal… while we look for another solution in the meantime.”

”Alright!”
