Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle…

For Grimm who had some knowledge of medications, he was able to conclude that these Demonic Blood Moss were either digestion aids or some sort of parasites for gigantic creatures. Therefore, if he were to find a cure for it, Grimm must find a place rich with these mosses and investigate them or perhaps he could just spend years in the lab dissecting this demonic creature.

This sorceress had these beautiful golden blonde curls and a high nose. However, her fair skin was covered with a layer of ferocious blood moss, as if she was some sort of molded food within the pile of corpses.

Normally Grimm would have just left her there to die, however, he became slightly interested when he noticed the fragrance of the Love Vial coming from her body.

Grimm gave this situation some thought as he recovered from the blurriness of his memories due to overexertion on the usage of the Dimensional Gap. After a short while, he pulled out a bottle of gold liquid medicine.

This unique blood was something that Grimm harvested from a type of poisonous ingredient. After that, he blended and diluted it with herbal medicine to make this neutralizing agent, or some may call it the neutralizer.

For people who had high abnormalities in their bodies, this neutralizer would help to relieve the abnormalities in the body upon consumption. However, for people who were completely normal, this neutralizer was no different from a toxin.

In other words, the theory behind Grimm’s creation on this neutralizer was through extracting a certain amount of toxins to neutralize the equilibrium of abnormalities in the body. To put it into simpler terms, this neutralizer was a strong toxic substance that would not kill if he got the amount right.

Eventually, Grimm injected the experimental neutralizer into the sorceress’s body.

“Since this medicine has a lot of uncertainties, whether you live or die, it all depends on fate now… Hmm…I’ll just take this elemental staff as payment.” Grimm said as he picked up the staff of chic status beside the sorceress. After a brief examination, he tossed it into a Dimensional Gap.

Grimm self-assertively claimed the priceless elemental staff as his own.

If he were to develop the ‘Grimm’s Great Elemental Staff 2.0’ one day, he might need some reference from a high-quality staff.

No longer concerned with this unfortunate sorceress, Grimm continued on with his journey towards the soul seeds. Below his feet was like a mountain of corpses bathed in a sea of blood. Occasionally, there were some creatures that made their last cries from their final struggles. The concentrated scent of blood that lingered in the air would make anyone’s stomach turn.

As Grimm got closer to his five complete balls of soul seeds which were just a few ten thousand meters away, he stopped when he suddenly noticed a vigorous rhythmic fluctuation that was just a thousand meters away from him.

‘This rhythmic fluctuation…’

It was the unique fluctuation of a World Guardian!

There was no doubt about it, the appearance of a World Guardian in the Shadow World could only be the Shadow World’s own Native Guardian.

Whenever Demon Hunters signed a contract to expedite missions, their souls would naturally leave a part of the Sorcerer World’s will for the purpose of supervising the Stigmata Sorcerer’s behaviors and to record the status of the Demon Hunters’ expedition missions.

To receive an Honor Badge, a sorcerer had to contribute to turning the tables during a Demon Hunter expedition war where they would be rewarded by the Holy Tower of Seven Rings. However, there was another method whereby they defeated a Foreign World’s Guardian.

The part of the soul of a Demon Hunter within the Sorcerer World automatically transformed the damage they caused into the contribution points based on the fight they had with a Foreign World’s Guardian. Once they had collected enough contribution points, they would be rewarded with the equilibrium level Honor Badge. In some cases, they did not even need to wait until the completion of their expedition mission and would receive the badge in the Foreign Land they were in at the moment.

Therefore, in the view of a Demon Hunter, a Foreign World Guardian was basically a walking treasure mountain.

Grimm hesitated for a short while, then he ordered the Myna on his shoulder, “Go retrieve the soul seeds, I’ll pay you five intermediate magic stones for it.”

The Myna flinched when he heard his order. He could not understand why Grimm would let him do it instead of doing it himself, as per his personality, he instinctively blurted out, “Make it ten.”

“Deal.”

Afterwards, Grimm flew towards the Shadow World’s Guardian without giving the Myna another chance to express its opinions. To be frank, he was not worried about the Myna’s safety at all.

For an old bird that was still in one piece after living through the ancient times, the Myna was a living proof of a species that had successfully evolved. In addition to his superb survival technique where his dimension space was connected to Grimm’s, he would not be surprised that the Myna would still be alive even when Grimm passed on.

The Myna was dumbfounded. Eventually, he snapped out of it when Grimm left him alone, then he shouted excitedly: “Does this mean that beast Grimm will let Lord Ba earn ten intermediate magic stones in all Demon Hunter expeditions in the future? Caw Caw Caw! It seems that this summoned beast not only has the potential for combat but also earns money for its master. Caw Caw Caw!”

From Grimm’s point of view, the Myna’s way of thinking was definitely one of a kind.

After a few minutes, Grimm stopped as he stared at a white-skinned Enigmatic Amonro which had lost the lower half of its body with his organs dropping out. The upper half of its body was floating in mid-air with a total of nine strong dark sorcerers surrounding it from all directions.

The Guardian of the Enigmatic Amonro’s World, Enigmatic Prophet.

It seemed that the Enigmatic Prophet was originally fighting with an army of Bright Sorcerers in the sky, but it survived a fatal attack and had fallen onto the ground. After that, it was once again attacked by Dark Sorcerers who had gathered on the ground.

Under normal circumstances, even the most inferior World Guardian was categorized as a standard Level 3 organism in the Sorcerer World.

For the first time ever, Grimm gained a basic cognition on the combat method against a World Guardian.

Under the support from the faint connection of the rule chains, the Enigmatic Amonro which was only half a meter in size was covered in a thick layer of grey Enigmatic Energy and formed a five-meter-long energy armor.

It was like it had put on a layer of energized mechanism and transformed into a huge vicious beast.

Even with the World Guardian at only half of its initial strength, it was still extremely difficult to fight it alone without the capabilities of a Level 3 sorcerer.

However, among the nine Demon Hunters who were surrounding the wounded Enigmatic Prophet, four of them were Level 2 Demon Hunters while the remaining five were strong Level 1 Demon Hunters. There was a high chance that they were Honor Badge receivers.

Grimm observed the situation and compared himself with the Level 1 sorcerers in combat. After that, he threw the idea of getting an Honor Badge out the window and joined the thirty plus low-level Demon Hunters who were gathered to witness the combat from afar.

Even though defeating a World Guardian would gain merit points for an Honor Badge, most low-level Demon Hunters were not willing to risk their lives for it. Being rash was a pure act of stupidity.

The remaining half of the Enigmatic Prophet’s body roared within the energy armor. Through the fluctuation of its soul, all Demon Hunters present knew what it meant, but none paid attention to it and the attacks continued as if nothing had happened.

From amidst the loud bangs of the explosions, the energy armor of the Enigmatic Prophet started to melt at a slow but steady pace.

The elite Demon Hunters were like sly wolves that were ambushing an aged elephant. They allowed the elephant to rampage without injuring the surrounding Demon Hunters. Its heavily wounded body gradually got weaker to the point where it would take its last breath at any moment.

One Level 2 Demon Hunter transformed into a five-meter-tall monster and ejected a meat cannonball. Even though the Enigmatic Prophet managed to evade a direct hit, the cannonball brushed past the armor and melted the area it touched.

Bang!

The meat cannonball blasted and resulted in a huge shock ripple on the ground. Grimm and other sorcerers initiated their Sorcerer Barriers to protect themselves from the shock wave.

No one dared to be careless.

According to the rules of this world, Shadow Enigmatic Energy had to be combined with Shadow Energy in order to draw out its full potential. The Shadow Clouds above the war zone was something that multiple Enigmatic Prophets had temporarily gathered, so the Shadow Energy was much weaker. Therefore, many low-level Enigmatic Amonros were unable to cast the Enigmatic Seal.

As for high-level Enigmatic Amonros, they were able to cast Enigmatic Seals but only towards organisms that were inferior to themselves. It was extremely difficult to seal superior organisms.

For Grimm who had his dimension space connected with the Myna, he had strong resistance towards all seal spells except for the time and space seals. Therefore, when the Amonro from the earlier battle attempted to seal Grimm, it caused quite a bit of trouble for him.

As for the Enigmatic Prophet before him, it was a much more superior organism compared to the Demon Hunters who were attacking it. For the low-level Demon Hunters who had received their Honor Badges, the Enigmatic Prophet had no doubt formed a certain level of suppression onto them.

One-fifth of an hourglass later…

More Demon Hunters had gathered to observe the fight, but only two had joined the fight against the Enigmatic Prophet. With its armor shrunken to three meters, colors of despair covered the eyes of the weakening Enigmatic Prophet.

Roar!

Suddenly, the Enigmatic Prophet roared and tossed a mouthful of greyish Enigmatic Energy towards one of the Demon Hunters who was attacking it, as if it wanted to take him down with it.

The Demon Hunters seems to have anticipated the attack and retreated, including the targeted male Demon Hunter.

Such combat responses… Just as expected from the elites of Demon Hunters.

The Enigmatic Energy seemed to have been strengthened by the Enigmatic Prophet. Just like the intermediate Enigmatic Noble from before, the ten-meter wide Enigmatic Energy was like a python that wanted to swallow up the retreating Demon Hunter.

As the Enigmatic Energy got closer, the sorcerer was not even fazed. With both hands holding onto his magic wand, he cast a spell and his white robe exploded into a golden colored light. After that, his skin was shining as if it had been covered in gold.

This drew the attention of all the Demon Hunters who were watching the fight.

This was not light elemental sorcery, was it some sort of metal conversion spell?

Poof!

The greyish ball of energy was wrapped around the Demon Hunter. Even within the greyish energy, the golden Demon Hunter had a serious yet confident look on his face.

However, the Demon Hunter’s confidence was shattered as his body started to shrink. He felt as though his body was getting swallowed by a huge mouth.

The once half-meter tall creature seemed to have become a terrifying giant beast from his nightmares at this very moment!

Of course, the tragedy did not happen. The surrounding Demon Hunters responded and attacked again. The Enigmatic Prophet gave a howl as its energy armor scattered, finally, the remaining half of its body dropped onto the ground.

“Fufufu… There’s no doubt that it’s my merit…” said the Demon Hunter who received contribution points for defeating the Enigmatic Prophet.

The golden-skinned Demon Hunter gasped for air when he finally broke out from the Enigmatic Energy, his body size too gradually returned to normal.

That was a close call, if he was swallowed by that thing, only God knows where he would be sealed.

Grimm regretted not joining the fight, but he believed that he had made the right choice.

As Grimm and the ten Demon Hunters around him decided to leave, the war zone of the Bright Sorcerers above their heads suddenly produced a loud bang and a burning Voidship fell from the skies.
