Swash! Swash!

Grimm protected himself using a powerful sorcerer barrier which he created using the support of repulsive and attractive force and the Magic Power from his Demon-Hunting outfit. He was moving fast while fighting against an Enigmatic Amonro and another Neon Green Amonro. Three shadows darted across the sky.

It seemed like this neon green energy-resistant substance had a fatal flaw of isolating energy induction of the body. However, its advantage of having great elemental resistance was still well worth researching. At least in terms of energy defense, currently this substance was way stronger than Grimm’s resistance ability that he had gained from his passive evolution.

If it was merely about fleeing from the two Amonros, Grimm did not find it to be that big of an issue. Especially when the Enigmatic Amonro’s Enigmatic Seal had no effect on Grimm whatsoever.

On the ground, the water and thunder armor of the Greedy Flame Giant had been severely damaged. Dark flames that were similar to human’s blood was flowing out unceasingly from its body. However, the giant still remained as deadly as ever. Hundreds of low-level Amonros’ carcasses slumped miserably along the way, but endless streams of Amonros continued to attack the giant from every angle.

Each time when the Greedy Flame Giant waved its giant sword, a few Amonros in front of it would be slaughtered immediately. Yet the other Amonros would ambush the giant from behind and leave minor wounds on its body.

These Amonros were exactly like annoying flies.

Although one to two minor wounds would not cause much harm to the giant, it was at the point where the giant had gradually become weaker as these little wounds added up. Its body slowly shrank to a five-meter height to make up for the damage inflicted by the wounds.

These creatures which were driven by emotion more than rationality were extremely hard to get rid of indeed!

According to the written records from the Holy Tower of Seven Rings, during the process of a foreign world conquest, usually creatures with higher intelligence had the strongest resistance. However, once these creatures suffered defeat, they tend to be overtaken by fear rather than courage and choose to run for their lives. This eventually resulted in Demon Hunters taking over the foreign world smoothly.

In contrast, even though creatures with lower intelligence tend to have lower resistance during war, after defeat, their actions tend to be fueled by personal emotion rather than rational fear. This resulted in them defending unceasingly and fighting in every corner of their world, hence it would be extremely hard to wipe off all these creatures.

Conquering such a foreign world would often be the most time-consuming mission for Demon Hunters.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Amonros’ railguns pierced the air once again. Each bullet launched was followed by blood-red trails.

Grimm could not help but to quickly glance at the railgun trails that rose around him.

‘It seems like there are only about two thousand to three thousand left. The railguns have decreased by that many huh? ‘

The Dark Demon-Hunters had highly destructive power after all. Being the last batch of Dark Demon-Hunters to arrive at the foreign world, Grimm merely arrived half an hourglass later than the first batch, but currently almost two-thirds of the railguns had been destroyed.

On the other side, the level two sorcerer had started to cast some highly powerful attack sorcery with the support of Millie, Nairo and other low-level sorcerers. As highly resistant as those Neon Green Amonros and black giant beetles appeared to be, they let out anguished wails and dropped dead under the shattering attack of that level two sorcerer.

‘Hmm?’

Grimm who was flying and fighting rapidly turned around and noticed a Dark Sorceress, riding a red flying carpet, headed towards him swiftly from afar. Surprisingly, she was surrounded by seven low-leveled Enigmatic Amonros. All the Amonros had red eyes yet all their expressions seemed empty and lifeless.

‘Could this be… Mind Control Sorcery?’ Grimm thought to himself.

Grimm recalled that there was someone who possessed similar mind control skills back in the Death Sail League during his sorcerer-apprentice period—the Mind Caster. He always kept a low profile and was good at attacking his enemy’s weak points. He was able to use his mental strength to create illusions in other creatures minds, and eventually control them.

Previously, during the first two years when the Death Sail League just arrived at the Black Isotta School of Sorcerers, the Mind Caster killed quite a number of fellows for the sake of establishing the league’s power and strength in the campus. However, there was not much news about him after that.

Now when Grimm thought about it, it seemed rather strange.

‘Could it be that he performed mental implications on everyone that noticed him, and made everyone unconsciously neglect his existence? Afterall, that fellow was the only one on the sail who had a natural gift of over 15 points of mental strength. It was rather illogical that he was never regarded as a big threat by anyone.’

The Dark Demon-Hunter paused for a while in the air, and flew directly towards Grimm instead of the level two sorcerer’s battlefield.

From a vague sense of the nature force, Grimm could roughly feel strings of mental strength tentacles creeping towards his direction, which eventually wrapped around the Enigmatic Amonro and Neon Green Amonro that he was fighting earlier on.

On the other side, the many low-level Amonros that had been controlled by this Demon Hunter flew to the side of the Greedy Flame Giant and offered support. Sounds of killing and roaring pierced through the air.

Roar!

All of a sudden, the mid-level Enigmatic Amonro, which was initially chasing Glenn in full force, let out a roar and flew straight towards the female Demon Hunter. Its eyes were flushed in red by madness. The Dark Demon-Hunter’s Mind Control Sorcery seemed to have triggered it.

The female Demon Hunter was slightly shocked by the situation. After sensing that the Enigmatic Amonro was much stronger than the usual low-level Amonros, she shouted in Grimm’s direction, “Dear great Demon Hunter, if you work together with me to control this Enigmatic Amonro, I will pay you two sorcerer essences in return.”

“Deal,” Grimm replied without a blink.

Although Grimm could have earned much more than two sorcerer essences if he held the powerful Enigmatic Amonro captive and sold it at the slave market in the Sorcerer World or chose to keep it as his own soul slave, he could not do any of these at this stage.

As such, it would be much more practical to earn two sorcerer essences on the spot.

Foreign world conquests were full of opportunities for Demon Hunters after all.

Dash! Dash! Dash!

Within a short period of time, another three Demon Hunters appeared from different directions in the sky, one of them was a level 2 Demon Hunter. Their bodies were surrounded by storm as all of them flew towards the center of the Neon Green Amonro army in the blink of an eye.

Under the joint effort of two Level 2 sorcerers and the support from a large number of low-level sorcerers, the Demon Hunters were already at an overpoweringly dominant position. Even the new species of Neon Green Amonros were not able to resist any further. All of them were either massacred and fell from the sky or exploded into fogs of blood under the attacks of purple thunder.

The Amonros realized that they were incapable of defending any further. Tens of thousands of low-level Amonros growled in resentment and escaped the battlefield from all directions, much like sheep herds that were released from their pen.

On the other hand, the Demon Hunters were like a pack of evil wolves. After killing the shepherd’s dog that was courageous enough to resist, they bore their fangs and rapaciously fixed their eyes on the sheep and launched a massacre, collecting one Despair after another.

Grimm looked at his fellow Demon Hunters who were collecting Despair presumptuously, including Milly and Nairo. Grimm sighed softly and continued to attack the Neon Green Amonro in front of him in full force.

In terms of one-on-one battle, this Neon Green Amonro would not even be considered as Grimm’s opponent.

For Grimm, this bizarre Amonro species was basically just a creature that solely focused on defense. They might be very effective in terms of suppressing low-level sorcerers and harrassing high-level sorcerers. Yet, when it came to one-on-one battle with official sorcerers, they would not pose much of a threat.

The female Demon Hunter who was initially sitting on her red flying carpet was now standing. By shifting the nature force, elemental energies were converging towards her from all directions. Thousands of crystal flies the size of an infant’s fist were gathering around her as glaring light broke out from the magic staff in her hand. She was casting Bright Sorcery. At the same time, her legs transformed into a snake tail, it seemed like a type of Hematology Sorcery had been triggered.

The female Demon Hunter was having a slight advantage over the Enigmatic Amonro. Their strength was almost at the same level. Quite a lot of her crystal flies were swallowed by the Enigmatic Amonro.

It seemed like a mid-level Enigmatic Amonro was about the same level as a common Demon Hunter.

A brief moment passed.

The ground shook as a neon green shadow fell on it. A three-meter hollow formed on the ground and the area around it cracked. The Neon Green Amonro struggled a few times at the center of the hollow. Grimm landed on the Amonro from the sky and ended its life instantly.

Neon green blood splashed everywhere and slowly slid off from Grimm’s armor.

‘Hmm?’

Grimm felt the neon green blood with his hands and he was caught by surprise. ‘This is actually living flesh material! Although the quantity is not much, it would be great if I could trade them or collect a large quantity of them. Not to mention, those giant beetles…’

As these thoughts ran across his mind, Grimm threw the precious carcass material into the Dimensional Gap.

Grimm looked at the red carpet sorceress who was drifting further and further away. She was still in the middle of the battle with that powerful Enigmatic Amonro. Grimm flew towards them without hesitation. Burning red flames and glaring halation exploded.

Half an hourglass later.

Grimm stored away two sorcerer essences and looked at the Dark Demon-Hunter and her newly enslaved Enigmatic Amonro. “This creature…is settled now. Since we have already controlled it successfully, let’s hurry up and get a share of our victory reward over there,” said Grimm while panting slowly.

The sorceress patted the Enigmatic Amonro like a pet. She was admiring her new captive like it was a piece of art.

After hearing Grimm’s words, the sorceress turned around and looked at him through her bright eyes and dark lashes. “Thank you for helping me control this little fellow,” she said happily to Grimm.

Grimm pondered for a while and replied, “I should be thanking you instead for assisting me just in time. We were just doing a fair exchange for what we needed.”
