Chapter 710: Chapter 201 Mianshui is shocked, Chen Jiusi also knows Peng Yingyu!_5

Peng Yingyu leisurely moved away.

At this time, Chen Jie pushed open the window next to him and saw Peng Yingyu step into the rain. The rain had become heavier, pouring down loudly, yet it seemed to part around Peng Yingyu, not far from him.

It didn’t even touch him, let alone drench his clothes.

He walked through the heavy rain, and after a while, Peng Yingyu arrived under an eave and saw two beggars lying there.

He approached them with a smile, ”Excuse me, gentlemen, could you make some space?”

The two beggars were curled up and deep in sleep, replied unhappily, ”Go away, find somewhere else.”

Monk Peng responded, ”Oh, sorry to disturb you.”

Then he continued to stagger to the side, when a young beggar waved him over, ”Monk, over here, come up here.”

Monk Peng, chuckling, went over and thanked the young brother.

The young beggar looked at the monk and exclaimed, ”Hey, monk, how come you’re not wet?”

The monk replied, ”If I don’t wish to be wet, I won’t be wet.”

”Wow, that’s amazing.”

Peng Yingyu sat down, leaning against the eave, and pulled a large white bun out of his pocket and started eating.

The young beggar swallowed hard, to which Peng Yingyu asked, ”Want one?”

The young beggar nodded, and Monk Peng promptly pulled out another bun and handed it to the young beggar, ”I have buns to eat, you should have buns to eat too. This is what equality means, do you understand?”

”Why do rich families get to eat chicken and duck while we only get to gnaw on buns?” the young beggar asked.

”Hmm?”

Monk Peng fell silent. Indeed, rich families ate chicken and duck, they ate buns, government officials ate beef and mutton, rich families could only eat chicken and duck, while royal and noble families enjoyed exotic delicacies, and government officials only beef and mutton.

How was this equality?

Monk Peng furrowed his brows. Apart from wanting to overthrow the court and establish a Han court, he hoped to achieve his ideal of equality for all.

Upon reaching a certain level of cultivation, one would develop ideas about the world and wish to change it. Monk Peng wanted to create a Buddha Country where everyone was equal.

He looked up into the fading twilight and fell into deep thought. The young beggar glanced at Monk Peng, finding this weird man intriguing, but the white bun in his hand was indeed delicious.

Monk Peng sat under the eave, cross-legged, eating his bun and thinking about the things in the rainy night.

However, he didn’t know that his actions had already been discovered.

At this time in Yelu Mansion.

”What! Peng Yingyu! The sixth highest in the world, Peng Yingyu!”

Ah San widened his eyes as he looked at Yelu who came to report, and Yelu made a respectful gesture, ”Yes, it’s indeed Peng Yingyu. The court has issued portraits of some heroes from Jianghu, and that monk is unmistakably Peng Yingyu.”

”And, moreover, he just had drinks with Chen Jiusi at a tavern.”

”Hmm!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Ya, who until then was unreactive, suddenly widened her eyes and looked at Yelu, ”Chen Jiusi was drinking with Peng Yingyu in a tavern?”

Yelu confirmed, ”Absolutely true, I wouldn’t dare to deceive the Commandery Princess.”

Zhao Ya’s expression turned sour, her brow furrowed, ”Are you sure it was Peng Yingyu?”

”As sure as I stand here, about six feet tall, face like white jade, dressed in beggar’s attire with a cloth sack and a gourd around his waist, approximately forty years old.”

Ah San remarked, ”Eh, my master said that Monk Peng is older than him, and my master is already sixty!”

”People at his level can control their appearance and hide the signs of aging. Whether it’s forty or seventy, it doesn’t matter to them.”

”It really is Peng Yingyu.”

Zhao Ya said, then looked at Yelu, ”Prepare the horses.”

Yelu asked, ”Commandery Princess, what are you going to do?”

”Monk Peng has come to Mianshui, and as someone junior, I should pay him a visit.”

Yelu expressed concern, ”Commandery Princess, this might not be appropriate. You hold a high rank, if he acts violently, we might not be able to ensure your safety.”

Zhao Ya chuckled, ”No worry, I’ve met him once before and know about his character, it’s alright.”

With that said, Yelu had no choice but to comply, ”Then, as the Commandery Princess wishes, Qimu Ge, prepare the horses.”

”Right away, my Lord!”

...

In Mianshui County, at the largest inn, the entire place had been reserved for the visitor from Huangzhou Prefecture, the Garrison Commander, Ba Tan.

At that moment, someone reported to Ba Tan, ”Lord Governor, it’s absolutely true, we saw him clearly, it’s Laughing Buddha Peng Yingyu.”

”Peng Yingyu, he, how did he come to Mianshui!”

Ba Tan was utterly stunned. Although he was quite arrogant, he couldn’t help but be impressed by the renowned Peng Yingyu, known as the sixth highest in the world.

Moreover, he had heard from his master that King Qi had once tried to recruit Peng Yingyu, and had even promised him a high position and great wealth, even willing to grant Peng Yingyu the Minister position of an entire province to persuade him to join, but Peng Yingyu didn’t even consider it
