Chapter 708: Chapter 201 Mianshui is shocked, Chen 94 also knows Peng Yingyu!_3

Chen Jie thought about it, but soon let it go, reasoning that being a leading figure and coming all the way just to deliver a letter was already great honor. What more could he ask for?

Thinking thus, the somewhat ridiculous thought in Chen Jie’s heart also vanished like smoke and clouds.

Chen Jie looked at Monk Peng and asked, ”Master, what brings you to Mianshui?”

Monk Peng took a sip of his drink and said, ”The Medicine King Treasure!”

”Ah?”

Chen Jie was instantly stunned and looked at Monk Peng, ”Master, you, you’re also searching for the Medicine King Treasure?”

Monk Peng replied, ”Yes?”

Chen Jie said, ”Is there medicine that the Master needs within the Medicine King Treasure?”

”That there is not.”

Monk Peng shook his head, and Chen Jie continued, ”Then, Master, you?”

Monk Peng, belched from the drink and said, ”I’m here to find a particular medicine. I heard from Miss Han that it could be found here.”

”Miss Han?”

Chen Jie looked at Monk Peng, who clarified, ”Han Miaozhen.”

Well, okay, you are part of the Zoroastrian Three Venerables. Calling the Dharma King in such a way is not wrong—it’s my narrow-mindedness.

Curious, Chen Jie asked, ”Master, what medicine are you looking for?”

After thinking for a moment, Peng Yingyu replied, ”Enlightenment Pills.”

”Enlightenment Pills?”

Chen Jie, puzzled, inquired what sort of medicine Enlightenment Pills was.

Peng Yingyu explained, ”Hmm, Enlightenment Pills. Miss Han said the Medicine King Treasure contains Enlightenment Pills, so I came to see if I could find them.”

Chen Jie asked, ”What is this medicine?”

Peng Yingyu said, ”It’s a medicine that makes people more intelligent.”

Frowning, Chen Jie speculated, ”Turns a fool into a normal person?”

Peng Yingyu did not answer, but his silence confirmed Chen Jie’s guess. Chen Jie continued, looking at Peng Yingyu, ”Master, what do you need this medicine for?”

Peng Yingyu replied, ”To make an Emperor.”

Chen Jie, who was about to take a sip of his drink, spat it out upon hearing this. ”Make an Emperor,” what a niche term, he thought, having never heard it before.

However, a sudden spark of insight flashed through his mind.

Years ago, Yuan Sanjia, ranked third in the world, had told him that Monk Peng also seemed prepared to reshape the world.

However, it seemed he did not follow the same path as Yuan Sanjia, who had been dedicated to divining the Heavenly Secret, seeking the Heavenly Mandate Person.

He then found three people: himself, the begging Zhu Chongba, and the salt smuggler Zhang Jiusi.

Yet this Monk Peng, by some unknown means, had chosen another person who he deemed worthy to be Emperor.

But this person couldn’t be a fool, could he?

Chen Jie thought while looking at Monk Peng. Monk Peng asked, ”What are you staring at?”

Chen Jie, amazed, inquired, ”Master, how do you ’make’ an Emperor?”

Monk Peng smiled and said, ”Thirty years ago, I met a couple, both deeply knowledgeable in Purple Star Astrology. I predicted their son would have the Purple Star Fate Chart of an Emperor.”

”Regrettably, at the time, the Zoroastrian Sect aimed to overthrow the court and make itself Emperor.”

”I didn’t believe the Zoroastrian Sect could become Emperor. Old Han and Fudian were too naive in their thinking. To properly govern the Empire, relying merely on martial power is insufficient; it requires talent, it depends on scholars.”

”I wanted the power of the Zoroastrian Sect to support a True Destiny, a universal monarch for the world. But Old Han disagreed, wanting to be Emperor himself.”

”We came into conflict, and I then left the Zoroastrian Sect. A few years ago, unknowingly, I met that couple again and hence remembered that person who once possessed the Purple Star Fate Chart.”

”I met their son, naturally born with the appearance of nobility and the Purple Star Fate Chart, indeed the truly Supreme Master. Unfortunately, he suffered from a high fever in his youth, which damaged his brain.”

”I could only try to treat his brain, and after much searching, the inherited records in Chang Chun Valley, under the Medicine King, mentioned a type of elixir called ’Enlightenment Pills.’”

”It is said to enhance intelligence and brings enlightenment, so that’s what I am searching for.”

Monk Peng explained his thoughts, and Chen Jie was moved, noting the wondrous elixir available in Medicine King Valley. Amazing, indeed.

However, Chen Jie was curious and looked at Monk Peng, ”Master, who is this person you so value, wishing to elevate him to Emperor? What is his name?”

Peng Yingyu replied, ”His family name is Xu and his given name Zhenyi, from a family that has been in the textile trade for generations.”

”Xu Zhenyi?”

Chen Jie was taken aback, this name didn’t match his previous impression, although the surname was correct.

As Chen Jie puzzled over this, Monk Peng continued, ”Later, I changed his name to something that matched Purple Star Astrology, calling him Shouhui.”

”Xu Shouhui!”

Chen Jie murmured the name, his face conveying unspeakable sentiments. It matched perfectly, indeed it was Xu Shouhui!

The Emperor of the Tianwan Empire.

Chen Jie was familiar with the history towards the end of the Great Yuan; if it involved Chen Youliang, how could Xu Shouhui be left out?

Xu Shouhui, a textile merchant from Hubei, later founded a nation with Peng Yingyu’s assistance, naming it Tianwan.

Why call it Tianwan? Because they aimed to topple the court known as Great Yuan, and Xu Shouhui hoped his regime could surpass Great Yuan. Therefore, adding a horizontal stroke to the ’big’ character forms ’Tian,’ and placing a ’jade’ top over the ’hero’ character forms ’completed,’ hence the name Tianwan Empire.

If Han Ling’er was the leader of the Northern Red Turban Army, then the successor of the Southern Red Turban Army was Xu Shouhui.

And under Xu Shouhui were two great generals, successively serving as Prime Minister: one was Ni Wenjun, and the other was surnamed Chen, named Youliang.

Yes, it was Chen Jiusi.

Chen Jie thought of these historical records. Although this history in the parallel universe of Daqian might not be accurate, it still held some reference value.

And what held even more reference value was—

In the end, Xu Shouhui was killed by Chen Youliang, which is why Chen Youliang was criticized for a lifetime, even during his last great battle with Zhu Yuanzhang, losing due to once having the title of a regicide.
