The Versatile Master Artist

For example, works ranked within 50th to 10th on authoritative book statistics websites like the New York Times, Moonlight News, or Goodreads receive a 10% discount, and those within 10th to 3rd get a 15% discount.

The top three are directly offered at a 30% discount to boost sales.

This is also the main reason why Scholastic Group must release books a week in advance.

Under the stimulation of various promotional methods, a Matthew effect is formed, often leading to books with past strong sales selling explosively during the Easter holiday.

And the promotion of The Little Prince by major media outlets has proven truly effective at this moment.

Perhaps Spare really is the second book in human history after Harry Potter to exceed one million copies sold on its first day in Europe in the past thousand years of the book commercial market, a total monster contender.

Many data analysts have predicted it will continue ruling the weekly sales chart throne for over a thousand days.

Perhaps even in the wildest dreams of the board executives at Scholastic Group, they never imagined that their rebranded The Little Prince could compete with such a bestselling book.

However, miracles happen just when they seem most incredible.

Starting from April 2nd, the competition between the ”Little” Prince and ”Spare” Prince began to present an absolute stalemate.

On Monday, The Little Prince sold 13,571 copies.

Not only did it rebound past the ten thousand copies daily average sales mark in a week, but it also set a new highest record for The Little Prince’s daily average sales in the United Kingdom.

Spare was even more ferocious.

During the Easter holiday, Netflix once again directed traffic to the themed documentary Harry and Meghan accompanying the book on its streaming client.

This documentary, with just the signing fee exceeding one hundred million US dollars, accumulated over one billion hours of global total watch time, becoming Netflix’s most successful documentary in history.

Under the alternating bombardment of streaming media and various television advertisements.

Spare’s sales, with a terrifying daily performance of 28,751 copies, dominated the field.

On Tuesday, The Little Prince’s sales continued to grow, reaching 17,521 copies. Spare’s sales were 28,329 copies.

On Wednesday, The Little Prince’s sales reached 20,036 copies.

Spare continued to lead with a figure of 23,569 copies.

The gap in average daily sales between the two books in the United Kingdom was narrowed to within 3,000 copies.

The new edition of The Little Prince became the fifth fairy tale book in UK history to exceed twenty thousand daily sales.

From this moment on, all book professionals realized that the sales champion of this Easter holiday would only emerge between The Little Prince and Spare.

In fact, most people felt that the sales champion was already a foregone conclusion.

Even if The Little Prince was selling fiercely as if on an aphrodisiac, Spare had been on the market for a long time, and the audience had developed a certain aesthetic fatigue towards this royal gossip.

But within three days of promotions, there was almost a difference of thirty thousand copies in sales boosting The Little Prince.

Catching up by three thousand copies in four days... is it possible? Very difficult!

The only point of interest for people is whether, in this Easter holiday’s prince battle, Scholastic Group’s The Little Prince can once again pull Spare down from the throne of daily sales champion.

Even a bored betting company opened a special market for this.

Scholastic Group was also amazed by The Little Prince’s achievement.

Such impressive daily sales is a rare sight for a publisher with a market value of ten billion dollars.

The board belatedly and urgently allocated another one million dollars to begin promoting The Little Prince across various channels.

Various book reviews, advertisements, and promotional messages began to bombard fiercely.

Mainstream book shopping malls also prominently displayed banners on their homepages.

The unpredictability of the market lies in the fact that.

What actually dropped a heavy bombshell in the public field wasn’t Scholastic Group’s second one million dollar special promotional fund.

But a short video that went viral on YouTube.
