The Versatile Master Artist

The stage is still very lively.

Gu Weijing picked up the book again, wanting to read for a while longer.

Miao Angwen’s conversation slightly interrupted the mood of reading.

Reading art books feels like listening to an old monk preach after the rain, with flowing streams, ethereal Zen sounds, immersed in dreams, reaching the myriad Buddhas.

When interrupted by mundane affairs, trying to resume always feels lacking three parts of the ambiance.

Gu Weijing read two lines and felt a bit annoyed.

He simply closed his eyes directly, gradually immersing himself in the imaginative scene that just appeared in his mind, rediscovering the feeling of using meditation and fingertip painting to approach the true essence of the Wisteria flower.

Not knowing how long, Gu Weijing finally gradually touched the sea of Wisteria flowers in his mind again.

Wisteria flowers,

Wisteria flowers,

Flower shadows sway.

In his mind, he matched it with the voice-over recitation of Dai Wangshu’s famous prose poem ”Alley in the Rain” as the BGM, automatically switching all the lilac and lilac girl in the poetry with Wisteria.

A smile appeared at the corner of Gu Weijing’s mouth.

Unexpectedly, the immersion this time felt much more real than before.

He seemed to be a young scholar strolling in the Jiangnan misty alley under an oil-paper umbrella.

Wisteria branches drooped from the courtyard of the water town with green bricks and black tiles.

He leaned over, gently sniffing the petals, fallen flowers mixed with dense raindrops, while a girl like a Wisteria flower followed beside him, holding his hand.

The fragrance of flowers blew towards his face.

Touching with the fingertips felt delicate, soft, and tender.

The only flaw in this beauty was the music drifting from the distant air seemed a bit too Westernized.

It appeared to be jazz music formed by clarinets and saxophones.

Although the rhythm wasn’t too fast, this moment wasn’t for guzheng bamboo flute orchestral harmony, making it feel somewhat bizarre.

Wait, something’s not right!!!

Gu Weijing suddenly felt a shock in his heart.

Jazz music... Why is there jazz music?

Originally drifting outside in a half-dazed state, upon realizing it wasn’t entirely imagination, he suddenly woke up.

Gu Weijing opened his eyes in slight panic.

Fitz Hall unknowingly switched the music, from Lincoln Park’s ”Faint” to the classic jazz ”Nature Boy”, with complex chord accompaniment music flowing from the school’s loudspeaker.

”Hi, you woke up?”

Black top hat, printed white shirt, black coat, paired with stylish black pants with gold lines, black dancing shoes.

A person dressed in a unisex style, looking much like Michael Jackson, was holding their hands together, raising a phone in the right hand for a selfie.

”Look at the camera, say cheese.” Jackson said cheerfully to him.

”Koukou?”

Indeed, there’s no such realistic dream in the world.

No matter how immersed in the world of books, it can’t bring forth such a real five senses. The reason he could feel the smooth, boneless sensation was because he was actually holding Koukou’s hand.

And the intoxicating fragrance...

”Koukou, what perfume are you using today?” Gu Weijing thought of the scene where he was sniffing the Wisteria flowers beyond the wall, his toe in his shoe curling subconsciously.

”Jo Malone’s London Rain series.” Koukou looked at Gu Weijing under the black top hat, blinking her big eyes.

”Don’t quite understand? I didn’t do anything weird, right.” Gu Weijing had a bad premonition.

”Estee Lauder’s high-end sub-brand. The scent is violet plus lavender, Wisteria, smells nice, huh? You just lowered your head like a puppy sniffing around my neck non-stop, I captured it all.”

Koukou took out her phone.

She showed Gu Weijing the pictures in her album, indicating she wasn’t speaking randomly.

”Misha that little girl has no allure at all. Some of them are dissatisfied with me. Once the leader sister makes a move, you obediently jumped into the bowl yourself.”

Koukou put her right hand on her hip, speaking in the proud tone of Snow White’s stepmother asking the Magic Mirror: ”Gu Weijing, Gu Weijing, who do you think is the most feminine girl in the school?”

Bang!

Gu Weijing felt like his head was about to explode.

His heart was like 1000 ducks quacking messily, similar to if one provokes a cheerleader, it’s like provoking a huge group of ducks.

Koukou as a leader is absolutely beyond 1000 ducks in combat power.

”I’m going to post these photos in the student group, you help me decide which photo is cutest. This one looks like a freshly awakened puppy, this nose-bumping one like a little pig...”

”Please, sis... don’t play with me, okay? I—”

He wanted to struggle for the last time.

”I know, I know, you have a girlfriend, right? But Gu, understand, you yourself actively grabbed my hand to touch and rub. I didn’t accuse you of being a pervert, yet you’re here shouting as if you’re the one losing out. Have some conscience, will you.”

Koukou stared with big eyes, looking at the male student incredulously, as if watching a peculiarly perverted scum who molested a girl yet shouted molestation himself.

”Uh...”

Gu Weijing was speechless.

”Alright, I won’t tease you anymore.”

The girl seemed unaffected by the failed attempt to wall-slam Gu Weijing a few days ago, rather she had a relaxed feeling.

Analyzing from Koukou’s perspective as an emotionally experienced expert.

First loves are the hardest to pry open.

First love is the first trace of vague affection sprouting in the heart of a young boy.
