The Versatile Master Artist

On some day at some moment, they might suddenly find themselves inexplicably falling for someone next to them.

The moment they develop a crush on their childhood sweetheart, it’s like God said, ”Let there be light,” and Pangu using a giant axe split open the wooden heads of little boys, allowing flowers of love to bloom from within.

It’s a feeling akin to the division of chaos, the creation of the world.

Simultaneously possessing the intensity of love and the solemnity of religion.

The cornerstones of first love are always the hardest to dig up; perhaps they suddenly lose the emotional bond and part ways blandly.

But when facing outsiders, that tender love always infinitely beautifies a person in their heart.

Even those heartbreaker girls with a big pond of contacts in their phone once thought they would stay with the first true love of their life until old age.

In Koukou’s eyes, Mona is a pretentious, overbearing bitch who thinks too highly of herself, posing as a ”green tea” witch. But to an inexperienced little boy who first feels an attraction, she’s a pure and perfect role model.

The struggle between her and Mona is akin to battling a fox spirit in a video game that’s fueled with good memories.

Even though Miss Koko has the guts to tear apart a green tea witch and kick a white lotus, she hesitates a bit. Besides, first love is simply too beautiful, and Koukou doesn’t want to potentially hurt Gu Weijing.

Now, that annoying Mona is finally out of the picture.

Lalalala!

Miss Koko happily taps a small copper gong in her heart. As long as Gu Weijing isn’t hopelessly clinging to his first love, Koukou is quite confident in herself.

There aren’t many girls in school who can threaten her. Even if Gu Weijing meets some wild chicks outside, not many can compete with her.

She wants to see which guy dares to steal her thunder right under her nose.

Besides,

no matter what, just teasing Gu Weijing for fun is quite an amusing activity.

”Don’t be shy, I’m quite busy right now, and I’ve got important business to discuss with you!” Watching Gu Weijing’s flustered state, Koukou’s eyes curved into little crescents with her smile.

The social dance party is the cheerleaders’ territory.

Introverted guys like Gu Weijing might just be extras in an art class stage play.

Whereas Koukou is the reigning stage goddess every year, surpassing all others in beauty.

Fitz’s cheerleading captain is quite famous among all middle school students in Yangon. Every year, security at the school’s entrance catches students from other schools trying to sneak in just for a glimpse of Koukou.

Both male and female students do this.

Judging by her outfit, this year Koukou seems to have had enough of playing the seductive style; she’s switching up her usual spicy hot attire during the day for a more androgynous look. The finale performance is a cool jazz dance adapted from MJ’s moonwalk.

This very professional dress for the dance was an expensive custom rental by her family.

Barring any accidents,

Koukou will still be the most eye-catching girl in the room.

She was so busy during the rehearsals that her feet barely touched the ground. She finally managed to sneak out backstage to find Gu Weijing.

”When I was just on stage, I think I saw Miao Angwen come over again. He didn’t bully you, did he?” Koukou’s smile faded, and she asked seriously, which was rare for her.

”Nothing major. I’m just a bit puzzled by his intentions.”

Gu Weijing spoke honestly.

”Whatever, don’t be afraid of him. No matter what he wants to do, he won’t be smug for long.” Koukou tugged Gu Weijing’s arm and whispered next to his face, ”I heard the adults around me say that Brother Hao is almost done for. The Yangon police are cooperating with Thailand and Laos for a large-scale joint clearing operation on underground money banks.”

For weeks, Koukou only occasionally saw her father on weekends.

Her police official father had been quite excited lately, spending almost all his time at his private office in the Yangon police department, fully coordinating various crime-fighting preparation works.

For the joint operation, the special task force had been set up for months, ready to launch a thunderous strike at the right time.

Brother Hao is at the top of the hit list.

The political ecology in Southeast Asia is extremely complex, with warlords’ private armies, military agents, and police high command all intertwined like a quagmire, making it hard to tell who’s who.

But no matter what, fighting money laundering is immensely beneficial both publicly and privately — a huge accomplishment that is as clear as day.

Her father is the head of this project, codenamed [Elephant Operation].

As soon as Brother Hao is rooted out from the city’s underworld, based on this merit, it is highly likely for him to progress further, perhaps even directly into the government’s core high-level.

Brother Hao is finished!

This news left Gu Weijing stunned for two seconds before a surge of immense joy filled his heart.

Even though he wasn’t as vulnerable as before to being uprooted like Wild Grass by Brother Hao, if Brother Hao’s regime collapsed, it would remove the dark cloud constantly looming over him.

Seeing Gu Weijing’s shocked expression, Koukou finally let go of his arm with satisfaction.

As she let go, Miss Koko’s fingers mischievously scratched his palm twice.

”Be good, with your elder sister protecting you, nothing will happen.”

”I need to go to the restroom.”

Gu Weijing felt a bit overwhelmed by the cheerleading captain’s boldness and enthusiasm.
