The Versatile Master Artist

At the moment this painting was completed,

everything vanished into thin air.

Koizumi Katsuko silently hugged Gu Weijing’s shoulders, burying her head in the young man’s chest, holding him like this.

Little Girl Jasmine and Ah Wang simultaneously turned their heads, gazing at the young couple on the sofa.

”Little cat, behave and don’t look at what’s going on with brother and sister.”

Jasmine, like a little adult, ignored Ah Wang’s extremely displeased protesting meow, using her palm to cover the eyes of the tabby cat.

The little girl, however, widened her own eyes forcefully, staring at Sister Sakai and Brother Gu Weijing with shyness and curiosity, without blinking.

No intense, inappropriate-for-children scene imagined by kids.

Koizumi Katsuko was just silently hugging Gu Weijing, hugging him tightly, as if trying to meld him into her own body.

”I’m very happy. Thank you, Mr. Gu, you are truly a good teacher.”

Half a minute later,

Koizumi Katsuko released her arms.

Her breathing was still rapid, her face still flush with an unabated blush, but she had regained her composure.

”Actually, it’s not as emotional as I imagined. I thought I would cry.” Koizumi Katsuko touched her heated face.

A student with 580 points, who suddenly stepped into luck, would easily faint with joy like Fan Jin when he finds out he passed the college entrance exam and got into Tsinghua.

Koizumi Katsuko was originally a student with 700 points.

When Miss Sakai started practicing repeatedly according to Gu Weijing’s guidance, feeling her soul gradually getting closer to the model, she vaguely sensed this moment.

During the process of drawing on the iPad, Miss Sakai didn’t even consider any issues related to Painting Techniques.

She just felt so warm inside, allowing the cozy feeling to flow continuously through the tip of her pen.

Her soul immersed in the middle ground between reality and imagination.

Her whole being felt peaceful and joyful, as warm as being back in her mother’s womb.

Therefore, when she came back to her senses and saw she really created a very good piece of work.

After the initial surprise, Koizumi Katsuko only felt a calm like a fruit tree she had planted herself, finally blossoming fruit through diligent watering.

”It’s such a pity that it’s created electronically on the iPad, and I’m not very skilled with crayon drawing.”

Koizumi Katsuko regrettably sniffled.

Missing the tactile sense of fine textures from paper artworks, it fell short by a few degrees.

”Anyway, it’s just a casual doodle. Having the first piece, finding the method, savoring the feeling, it’ll be much simpler to paint again in the future, don’t overthink, just delete it if you don’t like it.”

Gu Weijing comforted her.

”It’s just not Perfect, not dislike. I can’t bear to delete such a meaningful painting.” Koizumi Katsuko glared at her boyfriend who made that unknowing straight male comment.

She carefully preserved this crayon doodle.

Not only did she save it locally in the Procreate software, but she also meticulously backed it up on Apple’s iCloud cloud.

”Is this painting called ’Tomorrow’? The name is quite interesting.”

Gu Weijing watched as Koizumi Katsuko named the work, pondering for a few seconds before entering the tag ”Tomorrow”.

”Yes, it’s called that. When I painted, I made a small wish.”

”What is it?” Gu Weijing asked curiously.

”Not telling you, the old Monk selling Peaceful Guardians at Asakusa Temple said if you say such wishes, they won’t come true.”

Miss Sakai smiled playfully and declined Gu Weijing’s request.

She didn’t explain the meaning of the painting to her boyfriend.

Koizumi Katsuko secretly held expectations.

She hoped that one day, when they really have a joint exhibition, no matter how much her Technique progresses by then, or how grand the exhibition.

At that time, this crayon doodle of ’Tomorrow’ would be the first piece in the exhibition.

”Don’t just look at me, bring your painting over, let’s take a look together?”

Koizumi Katsuko had just felt that Gu Weijing must have also created an extremely excellent piece.

At the end of his painting, she began to draw her own crayon picture, not having yet properly appreciated Gu Weijing’s Jasmine.

”Here.”

Gu Weijing picked up the drawing board from beside the bean bag sofa.

Without even dealing with the masking tape, he handed it directly unchanged to his girlfriend.

Koizumi Katsuko’s gaze slowly followed the trajectory of the pen lines gliding over the sketch paper.

She admired the pen drawing, while Gu Weijing admired Koizumi Katsuko.

The serious demeanor of the girl always looked attractive, her pretty nose bridge was intricate and delicate, her long eyelashes resembling light-colored butterflies, ready to flutter at any moment.

”Ah...”

Shengzi suddenly sighed while looking at the painting.

”Was there a mistake in the drawing?”

”No, it’s very cute. Jasmine is cute, the cat is cute, and the drawing is also very cute.”

Miss Sakai placed Gu Weijing’s painting beside the iPad screen, observing the two artworks, and subtly shook her head in disappointment.

Truly need to try harder!

Koizumi Katsuko felt a strong sense of urgency rising in her heart.

Gu Weijing’s progress was incredibly rapid.

Not only was his sketch better than hers, but his familiarity with muscle textures seemed as natural as if he used a scalpel to dissect people, an astonishing thought.

Examining the depiction of muscle lines seen during the time since the spring festival.

The most impressive was undoubtedly the video of Detective Cat on Mr. Hibernian’s channel, textbook-level accurate akin to a medical textbook.

Next, unexpectedly, it was the Gu Weijing beside her.

Not only did it seem he ”dissected” people, but astonishingly it seemed he even ”dissected” cats!
