The Versatile Master Artist

Just five years ago, after Sir Williams handed over the traditional F1 grand team to his young daughter, Clare Williams, due to continuous mismanagement, a news emerged about having to reluctantly sell it to the Doroli Capital Group.

The Williams family has since been kicked out of the team named after their own name.

The value of the Williams Team multiplied fivefold in just three years after the capital group took over, riding the wave of F1’s revival, surpassing ten billion dollars once again.

Behind the glory was also the sorrowful exit of Lady Clare and the entire Williams family, who were ousted from the position of leader.

When he was just an intern reporter, the Economic Commentator had once written a sharp business essay on this topic.

The young reporter found it hard not to associate Anna with the former Clare Williams.

There are many similarities between the two situations.

Both involved young daughters taking over the enormous family legacy left by wealthy elders, both led to the founder families being expelled from the board of directors, and both involved capital groups taking over.

Although the situations cannot be entirely substituted.

The current public evaluation of Lady Clare is quite negative in many people’s eyes.

”An incompetent decision-maker and chaotic manager, a traitor to the family, ambitions higher than the sky but fate as fragile as paper...”

Such harsh societal comments could be directed at Lady Williams back then.

It’s hard to imagine those gossip-loving public would spare Lady Yelena now.

However,

What does this have to do with him, a Special Correspondent of the Economic Commentator?

He himself is a part of the social opinion.

The young reporter inwardly laughed at Miss Elina’s naivety, who actually attempted to make him violate journalistic ethics.

If the requested interview report had to be satisfactory to the other party.

Wouldn’t it just become a situation where he would run over there and act as free labor to write whitewashing soft articles?

He was willing to shamelessly throw himself in front of a car to block it in exchange for an interview opportunity, but he was not willing to become the Elena family’s spokesperson for no reason.

Even though the Economic Commentator often shifts political stances in the public domain, occasionally enjoying singing a different tune than its peers.

Letting a magazine of its caliber write whitewashing soft articles.

The cost is definitely not a small number.

Even as the chairman of a Fortune 500 company, you can ignore our interview application, and we can write articles however we want to disdain you.

Working in large media indeed comes with such pleasure.

”I can give the Economic Commentator exclusive news, only accepting interviews from your media. Additionally, I’ll provide you with all written resolutions from the shareholders’ meeting and the future strategic development of the magazine.”

Anna promised nonchalantly, as these things are public anyway.

Major exclusive?

The young reporter licked his lips.

The offer made him a bit tempted.

Exclusive reports and ordinary reports differ significantly in terms of scale in the journalism field.

However...

”Lady Yelena.”

The young reporter lightly swallowed his saliva, hesitated for two seconds, thinking this condition was still not enough to bribe him.

If the editor knew he was secretly making such backstage deals with the interview subject, he would get his press card revoked and lose his job.

Considering the investment return ratio.

He forced himself to resist the temptation, still maintaining an unfaltering and incorruptible demeanor, ”Miss, you misunderstand me. I truly have journalistic ethics. The Economic Commentator is a...”

”Then let’s change the terms, Ron William, right?”

Anna glanced at the reporter’s certificate beside her and called out the name that belonged to the opposite party.

”Reporter William, I can maintain long-term communication with you through an exclusive line, and give you prior information on any series of internal changes and development plans in the magazine, when the circumstances allow.”

In other words,

Miss Elina was willing to become his source of insider information within Oil Painting magazine?

Reporter William realized what the other party’s promise was, his heartbeat slightly slowing.

It is common knowledge.

Every reporter capable of producing major exclusive news and stirring up a storm, has to have their own intelligence sources.

As a military reporter, one can use green cards to bribe civilians under the control of the opposition armed forces’ zone. As a financial reporter, one can bribe some lower-level staff to obtain intelligence on the companies under investigation.

The cost is that the former is prone to getting shot, and the latter is prone to being taken away by the police’s financial investigation department as a business spy.

However,

As long as explosive news can be extracted, it is all worth it.

”You mean... Lady Yelena, are you willing to be my long-term informant?”

Reporter William was completely enveloped in immense happiness.

With his meager research funds, it was difficult to even bribe a cleaning aunt to help him secretly collect discarded files from trash bins in Austria, one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

And now,

A shareholder was willing to personally be his exclusive information source, maintain communication with him, and inform him of future developments in the Oil Painting magazine.

A major shareholder willing to undermine her own family - even in the news industry where nothing unusual is surprising, Reporter William couldn’t help but almost kneel before the uniquely-minded Miss Anna.

”Informant? I prefer to say a friend.”

Anna smiled gently at Reporter William.

From the independent wine cabinet at the rear of the Mercedes-Benz, she took out a bottle of champagne-colored wine with small bubbles floating, alongside two champagne glasses.
