You call this a projection?

Gojo Satoru was no stranger to copy-type techniques. In fact, in his mind, the strongest user of a copy technique had always been his student, Okkotsu Yuta. Of course, that referred to the Yuta who was possessed by the cursed spirit Rika before she passed on.

Because Yuta had cursed Rika, turning her into a cursed spirit that remained by his side after death, the ”Binding Vow” logic of the Jujutsu Kaisen world meant that Rika provided Yuta with a volume of Cursed Energy even greater than Gojo’s—a pool so vast that even Gojo marveled, calling it ”bottomless.”

Furthermore, it allowed Yuta’s copy technique, which originally required certain conditions to function, to be used unconditionally, allowing him to copy others’ techniques at will.

Yet, even Yuta’s strength at that time wasn’t this ”deviant.”

’Is it the difference in the types of techniques they’ve each copied, or the difference in their understanding and application of those copied techniques?’ Gojo pondered inwardly.

’Compared to using these copied techniques, Yuta is better at using his massive Cursed Energy to reinforce his body and utilizing the martial arts he learned from Maki. Even when facing multiple enemies that martial arts can’t solve quickly, he can perform wide-range attacks by copying Inumaki’s Cursed Speech. While this set of moves is very effective, perhaps because it’s too effective, Yuta hasn’t had the heart to develop the other techniques he’s copied; he only sticks to what he’s good at.

That won’t do~~’

As the possessor of the [Six Eyes], Gojo was well aware of the disparity between techniques. Even with the same technique, if the user is unfamiliar with it or lacks control over their Cursed Energy, the effect will be worlds apart from someone who is an expert in both.

After all, not everyone has it as easy as the Gojo family. Once the [Six Eyes] are awakened, one can immediately use them to ”cheat.” Even with a brand-new technique, the microscopic observation and Cursed Energy manipulation granted by the [Six Eyes] can make one unit of energy produce the effect of ten.

Gojo Satoru’s ”infinite” Cursed Energy came from this. It wasn’t that his energy was literally infinite, but rather that his precise control meant he consumed less energy per second than he recovered. With that net gain, was it not essentially infinite? This was the peak of a sorcerer’s control.

’When Yuta returns, I’ll have him try to study and use the other techniques he’s copied over the years in this manner. If Yuta can master all those copied techniques as if they were his own, then after finishing that basic training, his control and execution of his original techniques will likely become much smoother than at the start.

Yeah, decided. I’ll dump this teaching curriculum on Yuta later and let him try it out himself.’

In the eyes of his students, Gojo Satoru was undoubtedly a lazy and unscrupulous teacher. But in truth, Gojo was actually quite responsible regarding his identity as a teacher and his job of educating.

It was just that, besides being a teacher, Gojo was also the strongest sorcerer of the modern era. Most of the Cursed Spirit disasters in Japan fell on his shoulders. There was no helping it; since Gojo was powerful and possessed the [Limitless] to shorten spatial distance—allowing him to teleport across the map of Japan at high speeds—his schedule was similar to Batman’s: only three hours of sleep a day and no vacations.

For a man like him, the only place he could catch a break was at the school, where he could ”steal” a moment of leisure amidst the busy work.

Even so, it was hard to say Gojo wasn’t dedicated to teaching. Case in point: after seeing Emiya Shirou’s abilities, his first thought was that Shirou’s combat style might be a great match for Okkotsu Yuta.

After that, he grew curious about Kenjaku’s current state and asked, ”So, what’s going on now? What new ability did you use, Emiya, to get this guy under control?”

Cursed Energy was fine. The body was fine. As for the spirit... that was a realm the [Six Eyes] could not observe.

However, as Gojo observed Kenjaku’s condition, he was unaware that in the perspective visible only to Stand Users, Kenjaku was currently firmly covered in a layer of white, wax-like substance.

[Pseudo-Whitesnake]!!

Although Emiya Shirou felt that [Pseudo-Whitesnake]’s ability to snatch Spirit DISCs only seemed useful when fighting Cursed Spirits, that was only relative. At the exact moment Kenjaku was turned into an ”idiot” by the information bombardment of [Unlimited Void], Shirou had used the Stand’s ability to pull Kenjaku’s capacity for thought out of his brain in the form of a DISC.

He then implanted a command DISC: ignore all external information and simply surge forward to cover Kenjaku in the wax-like substance formed by [Pseudo-Whitesnake].

When Gojo released [Unlimited Void], Shirou hadn’t been significantly affected by the domain.

’Oh, Unlimited Void forcibly implants junk information into the brains of everyone except Gojo? Fine, I’ll just ignore that junk information then.’

Consequently, since Gojo expanded his domain, almost all of Kenjaku’s subsequent thoughts and perceptions were actually an illusion—one that Emiya Shirou, having rushed in front of Kenjaku, had specifically implanted into his brain using [Pseudo-Whitesnake]’s instinct.

Everything was going according to ”his” plan. However, it wasn’t Kenjaku’s plan. It was Emiya Shirou’s plan.

”Take it easy, Gojo. Even though the person controlling this body isn’t the Suguru Geto you’re familiar with, it is still his body after all.” Shirou stopped Gojo, who looked like he wanted to do something more to Kenjaku. ”Suguru Geto’s soul might still be lingering in this body.

After all, Cursed Energy is born from human negative emotions, but techniques—which are closely related to Cursed Energy—can remain in the human body and be inherited through bloodlines for generations. Perhaps seeing your actions, the soul of Suguru Geto, your best friend, might wake up because he can’t stand it.

If he ends up waking Kenjaku along with him, it won’t be quite so simple to subdue him again like this next time.”
