You call this a projection?

”Good grief, I said we shouldn’t have let Jogo come.

Look, now it’s a total mess.

Not only did Jogo fail to probe any useful intelligence, but on the contrary, he foolishly used his Domain to wrap himself up inside.

This way, even if you wanted to help, Hanami, you wouldn’t be able to transmit your cursed technique through until Jogo deactivates his Domain.”

Outside the line of sight of the [Six Eyes].

Kenjaku—who was no longer casually sending out ordinary spirits but had specifically dispatched Cursed Spirits capable of hiding their own cursed energy traces to observe the scene—spoke thus to the tall, sturdy white figure beside him.

Yes, Kenjaku and his group were truly nearby. Yet Gojo Satoru, despite running his [Six Eyes] at full power, had failed to discover any trace of them.

This wasn’t actually hard to understand.

Kenjaku, who had lived in this world for at least a thousand years, had been killed by holders of the [Six Eyes] several times over that long span of time. To the point where, gradually, Kenjaku came to view the possessors of the [Six Eyes] as the greatest obstacle to the completion of his plans. He had specifically researched methods to target them, including the maximum visual range of the eyes and ways to guard against their observation.

After all, the [Six Eyes] cannot see through solid objects; they can only see very far, with extreme detail, and perceive the form of cursed energy. Under normal circumstances, these abilities were sufficient. Walls have no cursed energy, so if a spirit or sorcerer hid behind a wall thinking it would block the [Six Eyes], the cursed energy on their person would have betrayed their position long ago.

By the same logic, as long as one could hide their own cursed energy and use various obstacles to obscure their form, even the [Six Eyes] would find it difficult to detect that they were being followed.

The reason Kenjaku didn’t bring out these specialized stealth spirits at the beginning was for this very reason. Kenjaku knew this weakness, and as the owner of the [Six Eyes], Gojo Satoru knew it perfectly well too. If the spirits used to track Gojo from the start had been these stealth types and they accidentally got exposed, what would Gojo think?

For Kenjaku—who absolutely had to hide from Gojo until his plan began to ensure a ”surprise”—he wouldn’t let the difficulty of his plan increase just for a bit of early convenience.

But now, it seemed it was time for him to change strategies.

Similarly, Hanami’s situation was much the same. More than a Cursed Spirit, Hanami was like an elemental born from nature. As one whose technique involved manipulating plants, Hanami’s presence in this vast forest could not only merge into the woods but also use plants as eyes and ears. Hanami could observe the situation on Gojo’s side even more clearly than Kenjaku.

Therefore, when speaking these words, Kenjaku’s tone was entirely one of indulgence. He was inducing Hanami to rush in and fight Gojo and the others, so as to scout out the information Jogo had failed to uncover.

”...”

Difficult-to-understand words came from Hanami’s mouth. Rather, this was a system different from human language—it was a tongue akin to direct communication with plants. However, the meaning could be transmitted directly into another’s brain, allowing for an intuitive grasp of the content.

”To think you would actually suspect me, Hanami? That’s truly heartbreaking. I was constantly advising Jogo not to act recklessly.”

Kenjaku, having understood the content of the message, spoke with a face full of grievance. ”This was clearly Jogo coveting the [Prison Realm] in my hands. He didn’t want the [Prison Realm] to be wasted on our common enemy, Gojo Satoru, but intended to keep it for his own collection—that is what invited this ill result. It’s all karmic retribution. Amitabha.”

At this point, Kenjaku even timely chanted the common Buddhist phrase to match the monk’s robes he was wearing. In short, he wanted to shift all the responsibility elsewhere.

Hanami spoke in that special language again.

”Is there a way?” Kenjaku rubbed his chin, pretending to be in deep thought. After ”thinking” for a long time, he gave a performative reply: ”It’s not that there isn’t a way, but Hanami, what can you pay for this method? To be more direct, as a Cursed Spirit, is it necessary for you to make such a big sacrifice to rescue another spirit?”

Inside the domain constructed by [Coffin of the Iron Mountain], Itadori Yuji—who had only recently learned that miraculous creatures and professions like Cursed Spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers existed in this world—was once again having his worldview updated. He stared at the scene before him, shocked into silence.

Is it teleportation? Or changing the world?

Regardless of which it was, Itadori Yuji—who had originally thought sorcerers were just like the Onmyoji in Japanese legends or superpowered characters in Shonen Jump (essentially replacing the guns and bullets of a human army with flashy superpower moves)—felt a sense of awe that was incomparable to anything before.

The moment they were transported from a forest filled with trees and mountains to a cavern filled with magma and lava, the feeling that the world itself had been altered was overwhelming. To be fair, he could understand the previous situations, but was this state of appearing to create a new world truly something humans could achieve?

Well, Cursed Spirits weren’t actually human...

”This is Domain Expansion.”

After slightly expanding the range of the [Limitless Cursed Technique] to cover Itadori Yuji and the others, Gojo Satoru began to take up his duties as a teacher. Even now, he didn’t forget to explain to them: ”It’s using cursed energy to construct an Innate Domain imbued with a cursed technique in the surroundings.”

”Although expanding a domain consumes a massive amount of cursed energy, it has many advantages. One is the stat boost from the environment, and the second is that the imbued technique activated within the domain will absolutely hit... Originally, there were only these two advantages to a domain.

But now...”

Gojo looked at the lava-filled place wrapping them all inside. He stopped the now impossible task of searching for enemies hidden in the dark and remarked, ”It seems domains have a third function.”
