A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1284: Chapter 1284: You Don’t Want Me as Your Brother Anymore

Mu Yan never imagined that a manly guy like Zhuang Yi would ever act spoiled, and crucially, she had no way to deal with him at all.

She said helplessly, ”Is this fun for you?”

”Anyway, my sister doesn’t want me, so I’m not happy,” Zhuang Yi said with a bit of a pouty tone.

Mu Yan, ”...”

She raised her hand to rub her forehead, feeling speechless, ”I’m not ignoring you.”

”You’re lying again, you’ve already blocked my number.”

”Why did I block you? Don’t you know in your heart?” Mu Yan retorted.

”Okay, that time was my fault, for speaking up for Uncle, but I haven’t done it since then, I changed.”

”So when you called, I answered.”

”I always feel like we’re like strangers, everything is just business-like, but I’m your brother,” he said softly.

Mu Yan was silent for a moment, indeed, her attitude towards Zhuang Yi wasn’t great.

It always seemed like he was trying to please her, but she kept acting indifferent.

To be fair, he’s been really good to her, it’s just because of that insulting comment he made about her and Mom years ago that she’s been holding a grudge, erasing all the good things he did before. Thinking about it, it’s really unfair to him.

She said, ”I never said you’re not my brother.”

”But I’ve never heard you call me brother.”

Mu Yan, ”...”

She felt her temple throb, and angrily said, ”Can you speak properly?!”

”I can!” Zhuang Yi’s voice suddenly became serious.

Mu Yan let out a light sigh, and said with disdain, ”A grown man, acting all cute, it’s disgusting.”

Without waiting for him to respond, she changed her tone, ”Give me some time, we haven’t seen each other in years, you can’t expect me to suddenly cling to you like when we were kids.”

”It’s okay, as long as we spend more time together, as long as you don’t resist me reaching out to you, it’s fine.”

”I’m not resisting.”

”Really?”

”Yeah.”

”So where are you now?”

Mu Yan described her location, then said cautiously, ”Why are you asking?”

”I just got off a plane, I know the place you’re at, it’s not far from the airport, I’ll come find you, let’s have lunch together.”

Mu Yan was taken aback, ”Why are you in Upper City again?”

”I just wanted to come, and isn’t this a good chance for us to spend more time together, so you can start calling me brother sooner?”

Mu Yan, ”...”

She suddenly couldn’t find a reason to refuse.

Otherwise, he would definitely say she lied to him again.

Mu Yan asked about Zhuang Yi’s preferences, found a restaurant, and sat down to wait for him.

About half an hour later, Zhuang Yi arrived.

He was dragging a small suitcase, wearing a shirt and trousers, coupled with his good looks and great physique, he had an inexplicable elite vibe.

After sitting down, he heard Mu Yan ordering food from the waiter.

Seeing her looking well and not at all bothered by the online rumors, the worry in his heart eased, and he asked, ”Why are you here alone today?”

As far as he knew, she didn’t have work recently, and she didn’t look like she had a date with anyone.

”My mother-in-law asked me out for a chat,” Mu Yan replied.

Zhuang Yi’s face instantly darkened, ”She didn’t give you a hard time, did she?”

Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, ”Of course not, why would you think that?”

Zhuang Yi awkwardly grinned, ”I was just worried you’d suffer under her.”

Mu Yan said nonchalantly, ”Well, I did suffer quite a bit.”

Zhuang Yi instantly erupted, ”What! She actually dared to bully you, and that Jiang Jingheng kid is so useless? Is this because they think our family is easy to bully, huh? Don’t worry, I’ll get justice for you today!”
