A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 953: Chapter 953: He Doesn’t Love You That Much, Either!

Around nine-thirty, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.

Mu Yan and Jiang Jingheng stayed in the room she used as a child, but the children’s bed had been replaced with a large bed, and there was an added dressing table; the rest remained the same.

Jiang Jingheng touched the Mickey sticker on the desk, which looked like it had been there for many years, as if it would fall apart at any touch.

”So you like Mickey.” He suddenly said.

Mu Yan followed his gaze and took a look, saying, ”That was my brother’s favorite, I...”

Her expression suddenly turned indifferent. When she was young, Zhuang Yi treated her very well, and she liked Zhuang Yi very much, always liking to run after him.

So when he refused to acknowledge her as his sister, she was really hurt and sad.

And that day, she overheard Zhuang Shaoyang saying those things to Mom, and it really felt like the sky was falling.

Jiang Jingheng looked at her lost expression, raised his hand to caress her cheek, and said softly, ”Don’t be sad anymore.”

Mu Yan smiled at him, ”I’m not sad anymore.”

After all, so many years have passed, is it still worth dwelling on those things?

However, she was very curious about what happened back then that made Zhuang Yi, who had always been so loving to her, say such hurtful words.

”When we return to Upper City, I’ll have someone renovate the bedroom.” Jiang Jingheng suddenly said.

”Huh? Why?” Mu Yan looked at him in surprise.

”Decorate it in a way you like, just like this.” Jiang Jingheng replied.

Mu Yan looked around the room, the pink making her eyes sparkle, and she couldn’t help but laugh, ”If our bedroom is decorated like this, aren’t you afraid of being laughed at? It’s too girly.”

Jiang Jingheng raised an eyebrow, ”No one has the right to enter our bedroom to look. Besides, I want Mrs. Jiang to always keep a youthful heart.”

Mu Yan was amused by his words. Which woman doesn’t like a man pampering her?

”Forget about me, when we have children in the future, we can decorate the children’s room like this.”

Jiang Jingheng looked at her with a face full of yearning, his eyebrows subtly furrowed, but he didn’t respond and instead changed the topic, ”It’s getting late, we should rest early.”

”Okay.” Mu Yan nodded, ”You go shower first, I’ll go downstairs to get a glass of water.”

”I’ll go!”

”No, you’re not familiar with the Zhuang family’s kitchen, I’ll go.” Mu Yan said as she turned and went out.

Jiang Jingheng watched her leave, turned around and opened the suitcase, took out some change of clothes.

Mu Yan went downstairs, poured two glasses of water, and was about to go back up when she heard the door open and someone coming in.

She instinctively looked over and saw Liang Rong walk in.

Liang Rong saw her, her expression calm, but those eyes seemed icy cold.

As their eyes met, it felt like there was gunpowder in the air.

In just a moment, Mu Yan looked away and went upstairs with the water.

From behind, Liang Rong’s voice suddenly came, ”The fact is, your dad still loves me the most. To let Jiaojiao and me stay in the Zhuang family, he was willing to leave himself.”

Mu Yan stopped, turned to look at her, ”So, you’re admitting he took the blame for you?”

”Take the blame? What are you talking about? I don’t understand.” Liang Rong laughed softly, her expression no longer gentle, gaining a few degrees of smugness, ”I only know that no matter what happens, he believes in me. In his heart, I am pure and flawless, unlike your mother.”

Mu Yan saw her with a longing look and suddenly remembered a saying: when a person continually flaunts something, the more precious and difficult it is to obtain.

Just like how people without money love to flaunt wealth, while those with it do not, because they neither feel nor disdain it.

She sneered, turned to go upstairs, ”Seems like Zhuang Shaoyang doesn’t love you that much either.”

Liang Rong’s smile instantly cracked, her eyes venomous as she looked at Mu Yan’s back.
